OMG, I can't love these things enough. Slim, sleek, unobtrusive and sounds great! They are a step out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad I bought them. Simple and easy to use, I can't say enough good things.

I've been thru so many headphones. My ears hurt after just a short time with any kind of "pods" (we're talking 15 minutes or so) and the Max are so heavy, they are reserved exclusively for flying when I need ANC. I had heard about the bone conduction, and tried some on at the fancy electronics store in the airport, but my head is small, and the band stuck out to far in the back, I knew it wouldn't work well for me, or my hair style. But then I saw these, and that they came in a Mini version, and I clicked BUY immediately. And I LOVE THEM! Not only do I not have anything in my ear, but when I'm wearing them at home so I don't disturb anyone with my true crime stuff, I can still hear what's going on around me without issue. Be it the doorbell, or the buzzer on the dryer. I hate feeling like I'm cut off from the world with headphones on. Though there are occasionally times where I want to be (like when the neighbor is doing yet another renovation project and running his chop saw and banging his hammer all day) and then I can just pop the included earplugs in, change the mode, and I can't hear anything else. Its fantastic! I haven't tried flying with them yet, and I don't know that I will (although they will be great while waiting in the club for my next flight and want to be able to hear announcements). I also haven't tried them for exercise, but I've worn them all day during a podcast binge session while cleaning and they were so comfy I almost forgot they were there. I haven't timed the battery, but I've only had them die on me twice, which is great. They recharge fairly quickly and then we're back in business. The only kind of negative thing I can say isn't even related to this particular brand or model, but bone conduction as a whole - if you turn the volume up too much, then you can feel the vibration. You can possibly get used to it after a bit, or maybe its just getting distracted and forgetting about it, but at first its just plain weird. Bottom line, if I lost these tomorrow, I'd rebuy this exact pair again immediately. A+, 5 stars!

Purchased these to run a half marathon. These are first gen, but they were convenient for the run. Stayed on my head comfortably, music was loud and crisp. They battery life also lasted the whole 13.1 miles. More than likely I’ll purchase a newer version in the future.

This headset was so light and comfortable for long term wear, but the vibration of the bone conduction was annoying for nighttime sleep wear. Do you ever get used to that? Otherwise, for a runner or long-time day use it was great.

I got these to replace inside the ear headphones for when I run. Inside the ear headphones will get sweaty and will need to be adjusted as I run. The Shokz OpenRun don't need to be adjusted and fit well over the ear. The sound isn't as good but I'm willing to sacrifice that ease of use. I like being able to hear whats going on around me as I run and the Shokz allow that to happen with the bone conduction technology. My only complaint is that while wearing a stocking hat during winter the hat will press the band down in the back which will change how the headphones sit over the ear.

Great product. Provides good sound quality for music and calls for both indoor and most outdoor use. Excellent for use in homes and offices for calls, meetings, entertainment. Great for use while driving/travelling/biking/hiking/exercising without losing situational awareness of your surroundings since the ear is free to listen for background sounds/noises and the headphones stay in place. Not suitable for very windy or very noisy environments (such as shop floors, production lines, around loud machines, windy areas etc.). Magnetic charging port with induction charging is a plus as there are no rubber seals to open for accessing a charging port and allows the unit to remain sealed in wet conditions. It holds charge really well even when playing non-stop music all day long.

I love these headphones! They are so comfortable and the mini fits my small head. I can hear my music great but still hear what’s going on around me. Earbuds always hurt my ears no matter what I try so I am super excited to have these Shokz headphones.

I've been using this several weeks when I ride about town or work out. The sounds is very good. I won't say great, my previous in-the-ear buds where much better soundwise. But I've also had much worse sounds from other headsets. I was skeptical but as i'm not trying to be encased in sound I found the experience better than expected. I do get to hear the vehicles around me which is great for spacial awareness. And if I have the volume low I can have a conversation with someone with a soundtrack accompanying it. The best part is there is no interference with my glasses and they never feel as if they will come off (both worries I had). Some issues you may find off-putting: - when turned up there is a vibration feeling. I find at non-red Bluetooth levels that this is not noticible. Going into the red does amplify this feeling. - the power off is a hold on the volume up so you get a few seconds off louder volume as you turn it off.

I really enjoy these headphones. They are easy to use with very clear sound. Unlike other headphones and earbuds, these stay in place not slipping around or falling out. Battery life is amazing and it charges quickly just like the packaging..

These Bluetooth headphones have a great sound and stay on nicely during exercise. I wear totally in the ear hearing aides and the Shokz don’t interfere with them. I also use them when making calls on my cell phone and I can hear everything very clear. I am very happy with the OpenRun Mini Bone headphones.

I was in search of a soltuion to be able to listen to music but still hear my surroundings while cycling. I know some friends who sigfwsted these and was concerned that with wind noise you wouldn’t hear the music and it would defeat the purpose of hearing around you for traffic. I was definitely wrong, at about 50% volume I feel was the best balance of being able to hear the music and the surroundings ans the wind noise is still present but it beats just hearing that without them. The battery life is excellent and I find myslef wearing them in the gym and for daily use. The pro version does have decent fidelity and surprizing to have some bass.

Good battery life, sound quality and volume are acceptable. Be sure to measure your headsize first. I got the mini and it fits well. It might take some practice to learn the button location and features, but it is worth it. It is so convenient to use bluetooth. I am glad I got them. For serious classical concerts, you will want better sound quality, but you get used to the degradation. Also, for phone calls, the microphone seems to work okay as far as how it sounds on both ends.

very comfy, very good sound. i purchased the 'mini' - they fit great...don't get in the way, no worries about them falling out. i use for running as well as just 'normal' activities (housework, etc). I am very satisfied with these 'bone conduction' headphones

I've only had these for a few days, but I am pleasantly surprised at the comfort and audio quality. As other have mentioned, the audio isn't as good as regular headphones, but it is pretty amazing how good it is when nothing is directly in/over your ear. My main use is for when running on roads or in unfamiliar areas. I've done some short runs and so far they have not moved or slipped in any way. I never have luck with earbuds staying in, so these are awesome. I have what I would consider a fairly large head (7 5/8 hat size), but opted for the mini. I like the more streamlined fit and have found that I can wear a hood and even some winter hats with them on. I also wear glasses and have found they are pretty comfortable even when I have my glasses on. You just need to play around with having the glasses over the headphones or vice versa.
