Such a simple yet extremely handy device. Works as advertised and you can get pretty creative with it. We originally wanted it to control sound bar power and volume but used some of the extra buttons for offbeat things like setting the AC timer, selecting TV source, and controlling the sleep timer. One more row of buttons would be nice, but it still gets 5 stars the way it is!

This little guy is a great compliment to your Amazon remote. I was able to pair it with my tv and Sound Bar.
I'd give it 5 stars but it is a pain to remove. I had to switch out remotes and it cracked.

This is perfect. Instead of always having to hunt down the second remote when it gets lost, this literally clicks on the fire stick and saves my sanity when someone gets ill if the remote is lost.
Super convenient when you feel like being lazy and don’t want to hunt for it.
It was priced just right and I’d buy it again and again. Anyone who owns a fire stick NEEDS this.

Perfect way to combine a few remotes and more importantly, my wife likes this more than our Harmony, due to the simplicity of it. Programming was a snap and you quickly get used to the change in remote size.

No longer need to use television remote and firestick remote. I can now turn on tv, adjust the volume, select the desired input and change the channels along with using the attached firestick remote.

This is a life saver for my Amazon remote. Now I don't have to keep up with the TV remote just to change the volume out change the input. Since I use DirecTV Now, I can use this along with my Amazon remote to operate my TV. The pairing process is really simple as long as you follow the instructions. Sometimes I wish it could be a bit thinner though so I don't have to do hand gymnastics to reach the other side.

A nice addition to the Amazon Firestick. Very convenient and very easy to program. Get's rid of those multi pesky remotes and now we only pick up the Firestick with the attached sideclick and allows us to turn on the tv and receiver for our surround sound to start watching some entertainment. Simple in it's design and features but yet functional enough to manipulate a few devices. I would recommend to wait until it goes on sale to purchase just to get a better deal.

This is a great little gadget that is a nice addition to control your Fire TV. This add-on allows you to add controls that are lacking on the Fire TV remote.
I'm baffled as to why the included remote doesn't contain volume buttons among a few others. This is such a nice attachment to add which cut out me having to use to other controllers for my TV and soundbar. I thought one for all four of my Fire TV devices in the house.

The little sideclick is super handy and certainly helps sort out all the remotes I need. If it had 2 more programmable buttons I would not need to use any of my other remotes

This addition to my fire stick tv remote has been a time and space saver. I can grab one remote rather than two to turn on and adjust settings on my tv and control my streaming device.

At first I was a little confused as to what the device would be used for, but once I figured it out I'm going to order another one. All buttons on this device are programmable so that you can control the volume on your tv, turn off or on your stereo or pretty much whatever you want. Programming the buttons is super quick and doesnt require any codes it learns instead by facing the remote you want programmed directly at the sensor and it learns anything.

I have heard of the Sideclick remote for some time, and was able to grab one on sale. It allows you to use an existing remote (required!) to learn any functionality you want. Any button on the Sideclick can be programmed to your choosing, although the buttons are labelled for Power, Volume up and down, Input selection, Channel up and down, plus A and B (custom). You don't enter a number code from a book - it learns the actual IR transmission from the existing remote. So this is not good to backfill a lost remote. But because it learns an IR code, it could be from multiple devices.
But I can now change my sound bar volume, my TV input, my satellite channels, and toggle through a sleep timer (if you had a discrete button for that). But so many TVs bury sleep timers in the menu structure, so there isn't a way to make that work (no macros or strings of codes).
Great product. Very happy with the fit for both the non-voice Amazon remote and the voice Amazon remote. I liked it so much, I bought two more for the other rooms' Fire TVs. I want these for my older Apple TVs as well. But the newer Apple TV remotes have volume controls built in, so adding the bulk is less needed.

I bought this to try with my new Amazon Fire TV Stick. I liked the allure of power, channel changing, and volume control. It has three bonus buttons that I programmed for changing input and "enter" - leaving one to spare.
It works well, but makes the Fire stick remote feel awkward.
So as my header says, it's sad that you need this to avoid having to use a second remote. The Roku streaming stick has the power and volume buttons built in and works in a more intuitive way.

Works great! Universal remote is programmed by using the original remote to pair buttons. Having the sideclick cuts down on multiple remotes and makes things easier.

Until Amazon makes an all purpose remote for the firestick, the Sideclick will have to do. It's not the best it could be but it is nice to be able to program it to power on TV, control the volume and change sources and change DTV channels. Must have for firestick users in my opinion but wish it was a bit cheaper.

The sideclick helps so much. Using a separate remote for the tv is a hassle.
I also have the Philips remote SRP2024A/27 where the fire tv remote goes into the back and is screwed in. I got it because the Philips one has a number pad. I just use an over-the-air antenna and don't have cable, so the number pad isn't that useful to me because I don't have that many channels and don't mind flipping through them using the sideclick. For that reason, I prefer the simplicity of the sideclick, where I don't have to flip the remote over and all the buttons I need for my limited use are easy to click. Sometimes I'll also accidentally hit a button that's on the backside of the Philips too. If I had a lot of channels and used the number pad often, I would go with the Philips. The Philips remote also has a lot of other buttons built in, so if you use any of them often, you might want to consider the Philips in that case too.
