    FANTASTIC Headphones

These headphones are FANTASTIC!!! Overview: My husband has recently gotten into streaming and online gaming. I really like being supportive of his new hobby, but he sometimes he get really loud. That's when I decided I needed a better pair of headphones. Not only do these block out his gaming chat, they are comfortable as well. They connect with both my laptop and my phone without any trouble, and the headphones even come with an option to plug via a 3.5mm jack if bluetooth is not available. Battery life is wonderful as well. Sound: 9/10 - These headphones block out casual conversations and deliver crisp audio. When my husband streams I rarely hear him (and he can get quite loud). The volume controls are nicely located as well. Apperance: 7/10 - The headphones themselves are pretty bland. There are not a lot of markings and they are a solid color. They are by no means ugly, but they do not pop out in a crowd. However, if you know someone with a little creative flair you can attach your personality to them (like I did)! Comfort/Design: 9/10 - These are over-the-ear headphones, meaning that they do not sit on my ears. This prevents my ears from getting hot, which allows me to wear the headphones for longer periods of time. The padding is properly placed as well to keep it from squeezing my head. Battery Life: 10/10 - I charge these headphones once a week. 'Nuff said, right? I use them moderately (average 2 to 3 hours a day). Worth/Quality: 10/10 - Considering the other headphone options out there, many of the features of these headphones rank up with higher priced brands. I would expect to pay AT LEAST twice the price for the same quality in other brands. Overall: 9/10 - These are good headphones. They are well priced. They do the job! I would recommend trying them out in the store first, as I did, just to make sure that the style works for you. I tried on every pair in the store on the headphone aisle and was completely unsatisfied until I came across these off to the side in an obscure place. It was definitely a great find.

    Better than the Crusher Wireless

I bought the Hesh 3 wireless after first purchasing the Crusher wireless. I loved the look and feel of the Crusher but it’s bass was too prominent for me on certain songs even when the bass slider was turned down all the way. It sounded amazing for some songs though (especially “Here With Me” by Marshmello and Chvrches), and gaming was a new heart-pounding experience with them. I felt I’d damage my ears with those things’ rumble though, so those flaws considered, I returned them in exchange for the the Hesh 3 wireless. The Hesh 3 wireless is fantastic. I’ve had mine for a few weeks now. Audio is perfectly clear and crisp with these headphones and they have just the right intensity of bass punch to make songs sound powerful but not overly base heavy. I use them at the gym and I’ve had no problems really. They are comfortable and fit snugly on my head even when flat benching, and they don’t get in the way of anything. The battery life is incredible and I rarely have to charge them. When I do, fully charging doesn’t take long because of the rapid charge feature. I have only 2 cons: 1) My Hesh 3 wireless tends to sometimes make a plastic-against-plastic knocking/impact sound in the right earcup when turning my head to the left as if a loose internal component is getting smacked against something as I swing my head leftward. This only happens sometimes and I believe the cause is actually an airflow issue. I read online that someone had the same problem with the Hesh 2 and it was in fact an airflow issue, and additionally disassembling and reassembling my entire earcup changed nothing. The sound only occurs sometimes and is usually fixable by just fiddling around with the earcup’s position and twisting it’s padding around and back again. 2) On Xbox One, these headphones cause a very annoying echo effect for everyone in your party, so they’re good for playing solo, but with friends they annoy everyone. In conclusion I think the Hesh 3 wireless has value beyond its price and performs excellently. They work great in the gym, are comfortable and snug-fitting, have punchy bass but are not overly punchy, have crisp and clear audio, and have amazing battery life. Also, they look awesome on your head. I personally really like them much more than the crusher wireless.

My made the purchase of the over-the-ears headset upon the advise from my daughter. I wanted to listen to my Sony TV X800e in the bedroom. Unfortunately the Sony TV won't pair with anything but Sony headphone with a transmitter, so I returned them and purchased the Skullcandy with the Mee audio transmitter. The transmitter is so easy to set up and connect with these headphones. I was amazed and so happy with the sounds I heard through this headset. I wasn't sure which Skullcandy headset I wanted but the Hesh 3 was on sale for $79.99 so I went with them. I listened to the TV for hours and they are so comfortable. The Sony headset was not as comfortable and too big for my head. The Skullcandy fit my head and are adjustable. I love this headset and will continue to use them until they wear out then I will buy another pair. You can't go wrong with the Skullcandy Hesh 3. Another good thing about them is they fold up for travel and they charge fast. The charge will last along time and you don't need to worry about them going dead while watching TV or listening to music. Some people complained about the bass sound but I did't have a issue with the bass sound.

I honestly can't believe I just left Best Buy with these for only $129. The sound stage that these cans offer is definitely worth more and above anything from SkullCandy that I've listened to before. I bought these to replace my Hesh 2's, which I bought after losing my Sol Master Track Calvin Harris's and getting a phone w/o a headphone jack. I was sufficiently happy with the Hesh 2's, though they definitely had a different sound than the Sol's. A much more consumer oriented and narrower sound stage. I used the Hesh 2's from time to time, but recently started using daily as part of my work and found the ear cushions to be uncomfortable. Since the Hesh 3 cushions looked more like the Crusher cushions, I decided to give them as shot. Pros: Cushions - definitely more comfortable than the Hesh 2. Wide sound stage. Brilliant highs and mids. Bass with great depth. Punchy, but nuanced without being muddy. Size - The Hesh has been on a diet! I don't feel quite so ridiculous wearing them on the street. Cons: They do feel cheaper than the Hesh 2. Just not as sturdy. But you gain some portability from this. Ultimately, time will tell. Some people have complained about lack of a carry bag. I don't need one, but since I've had cheaper cans with bags, I figure it's a miss that should be corrected. Audio Listened: Zero burn-in, as I just got these. But Tech N9ne - Sriracha and Speedom (WWC2), Bon Iver - 715 Creeks, Trampled By Turtles - Wait So Long. Impressed by all. Buy these.

Excellent bluetooth headphones at a great price

I'm very picky with how my headphones sound. I listen to a variety of music ranging from pop, R&B, hip-hop, electronic, alternative - and these headphones handle every genre well. Clear vocals are very important to me when I'm listening to electronic music with female leads or when listening to ballads. I bought a pair of V--Moda Crossfade Wireless headphones to compare, and the Hesh 3 blows them out the water. The Crossfade Wireless are bass dominant, but do not provide clear vocals or crispy highs. The Hesh 3 provide sparkly highs, tremendous clarity in the mids, and punchy bass without drowning out anything else. In terms of sound quality, the Hesh 3 are superior to the V-Moda's in every way. At this price point, the sound quality Skullcandy managed to engineer into these headphones are an absolute marvel. The headphones are light and comfortable to wear for hours on end. I wear glasses and experience no discomfort on my head or ears. The ability to charge the headphone for 10 minutes and gain 4 hours of playback time is incredible. The mic is also pretty good for phone calls. The person on the other end said I sounded clear and I could hear them clearly as well. The Hesh 3's design is sleeker and better looking than the predecessor Hesh 2's. My only qualm with this pair is in the build quality. The frame seems to be made from a cheaper plastic, which makes me concerned about long term durability. However, only time well tell how they hold up. If you are looking for an affordable, wireless pair of headphones with superb sound quality, this is the pair to get.

I purchased theses a few months ago, and initially I found the Hesh 3 Wireless to be a very good set of over-the-ear headphones. They felt comfortable, had a good range of sound and are wireless with Bluetooth, all positive in my book. However, just yesterday as I went to put them on, the plastic by the ear cone snapped, broke clean away and left the ear piece just swinging there.. Now, I'm pretty gentle when it comes to my possessions, even more so when it comes to electronics. I keep my headphones safe, away from any source of danger that can do them harm, so I was quite shocked when these just simply cracked so easily. In my experience, I've never had a set of headphones do that, especially ones that are relatively new. Im not going to say do or don't buy them, but I wouldn't recommend them to a friend, that's for sure. They are great when it comes to what they are supposed to do, but that plastic was so weak. I'm dissapointed in these and myself for not buying the extra plan from Geek Squad. Now I'm out $100.. but at least I learned a few lessons.

The headphones are great in the bass department but lacks a bit of an acoustic department. Just a bit. You'll find that these headphones are enjoyable and deliver the musical experience you seek. But to meet expectations, it sacrifices aesthetics. You'll most definitely appreciate the over-the-ear headphones but you'll dislike that fact that they can be a bit tight at times, causing you to sweat. A lot. They also make your head look big because they stick out from the sides a bit more than they should. You turn up the volume just a tad bit too much and someone will comment how loud your music is. However, turn the music down just a notch and you'll find it annoyingly unsatisfying. The buttons on the back of headphones are made to combat this, which are conveniently placed on the right side of the headphones, creating a quick and comfortable position to change the volume or switch tracks in a jiffy. Skullcandy also acknowledged the earphone jack community by throwing in an AUX cord that you can connect to your phone should your headphone battery die, which rarely happens due to its massive battery size and quick charging capabilities. In conclusion, these headphones are great for their price, delivering a satisfying hearing experience at the cost of being comfortable which may vary between people and temperature.

One month into owning these so far I'd have to say.... Terrific sound quality, the battery charge seems to last FOREVER on these things(though it depends on usage habits) and the time it takes to charge for a full charge 45min- 1 hr. is awesome. Also love that they have a built in mic for making hands free, wireless phone calls. Now they are comfortable for approx. an hour straight of wearing but after the first 20 mins or so they do make your ears feel VERY hot, abnormally hot in fact, then about after 1hr into wearing if you do not take them off a handful of times in between your ears do start to hurt and I am not sure if it is from the ear "pressure" of the insane amount of noise cancellation or just simply having something pressed on/over top of the ears that long? They seem sturdy enough but are not overly heavy feeling and finding them on sale at the time was a very nice surprise. Like that they fold up for easy, smaller storage and even like the feature of the rotating earpieces when hanging them off of ones neck so the earpieces face upwards towards the ceiling. All in all good product and I am very happy with my purchase.

    Easily Broken

So these headphones work great, until they break, despite a user’s care after only just a month. I took care of these headphones and they still broke. Maybe I should have paid extra money for a case for these specific headphones, but they should have came with a case like many other headphones do. I decided to use the case for my previous Sony pair, but this did not prevent this. I also taped the sides that were broken and this barely sustained them for two weeks. After this they truly broke, and this is not what I spent 80 dollars on. Skullcandy should at least provide a case.

I had the Hesh 2 wired version of these and they are phenomenal both in terms of sound and build quality. I got a new phone without headphone port, so wanted to go wireless. Of course, I thought the Hesh 3 would be perfect, and during a sound test in-store, I was right... they sounded just as amazing as the Hesh 2. My low review is due to these having questionable build quality. The Hesh 2 were made up of more metal coated with either plastic or rubber. The Hesh 3 in comparison, have more plastic where it counts--joints and adjustable parts of the Hesh 3 are plastic with no metal at the core. As a result, I am on warranty claim #2 within my first 9 months of ownership. First time, the plastic covering the headband broke, now the 100% plastic holding the left ear phone is broken. I may have to go with a more robust headphone next time around.

Extremely disappointed. I bought these to listen to music at work and I get busy fast so my gear must behave because I don’t have time to troubleshoot. I can leave the headphones charging all night and within one minute of turning them on in the morning they say “battery low” and turn off. I can charge them through the morning, turn them on, and I get the same warning in the afternoon. They never once charged correctly and I can’t tell why. The power cord that’s provided is so short that I can’t listen through my keyboard. And when I start charging with the intention of listening in about an hour, I get swept into my work and forget about it. Result is that I’ve had these more than 3 months and haven’t gotten more than 10 minutes listening time out of them. It's lame.

I have a pair of Bose Noise canceling headphones but they are wired and I have been wanting a pair of Bluetooth wireless for sometime but just didn’t want to spend the money. Started looking around and saw the Skullcandy Hesh 3 over the ear headphones and boy am I glad I bought these. The sound is great and they are very comfortable even on long flights and best of all they were very inexpensive when compared to other headphones in their category. The other thing that I like is that they come with a headphone jack cable so they can still be used if you forgot to charge them and the device you are using has a headphone jack. I only wish they came with a storage bag like the previous model the Hesh 2.

Loved my last Skullcandy headphones so I purchased the wireless version. Immediate concern was that they were plastic (unlike the last pair with sturdy metal hardware) and just a thin cloth bag to carry them around. I travel ALOT, my headphones are critical for entertainment and taking calls on the go. I just super-glued the third arc that attaches the ear piece to the headband (see photos) They were a great deal but I had hoped they would last a few years. Next time I will spend the extra money and get a better quality brand.

Full disclosure: this is my first pair of wireless headphones. I was looking for a well priced pair of "gateway" headphones and these are it. I found the headphones to be sturdy and rugged enough to withstand several workouts. I sweat a lot and have not had any issues. For those who might be concerned by previous reviews, the headphones are not small. I have a big head and they fit just fine. I also found them easy to pair and have not lost connectivity...ever. Overall, i would recommend these for someone who wants a good pair of headphones for a under $100. MY one and ONLY con - and it's a big con - is that the volume is very low. If you want something to cancel outside noise , this is NOT for you. If you want a big bass boost to zone out to, this is NOT for you.

Honestly I'm extremely impressed by Skullcandy. It's been a while since I've purchased a Skullcandy product but these headphones look great, are durable, are easy to use, and sound incredible. I know sound is something that is somewhat qualitative. So after reading many reviews about the sound of the headphones I went to by local best buy and tested every pair I could. And these were by far my favorite sounding. Also, these headphones look great and have a much more mature look compared to previous Skullcandy products. And lastly, bluetooth range and connection strength are excellent, and the controls are super easy to use. Works great on my iPhone and with Siri. Great work Skullcandy!

I would give these headphones zero stars if I could. While the sound is OK (about what I would have expected from a pair of budget headphones), the plastic housing is an abomination -- ridiculously fragile and brittle. With light use, the first cracks appeared on day 16 of the purchase (of course, just after I could have returned them to or exchanged them with Best Buy), and it seems like each week has brought additional problems -- more cracks, more pieces falling off, etc. I have been trying to patch the headphones together with Super Glue and Tenacious Tape, but last night the housing finally snapped at an earpiece pivot joint and became unfixable. All this after only a few months of gentle use... In summary, this purchase was a huge waste of $100. Save your money for something that will last.

I use these headphones for several reasons: 1.) When traveling by plane, I can use them on board to listen to my music or to listen to the plane's movies, 2.) When exercising on my stationary bike I can put these on and listen to my workout music, 3.) When watching TV, it can sync up with the blue tooth-capable receivier associated with my TV to watch TV and not bother anyone else that prefers peace in quite during the day, or if they're trying to sleep, 4.) As a passenger in a car or bus, it's a great way to shut out everything else and listen to programs and music. Even if not listening to anything, it can act as insulators to external sounds!

I'd say these are probably the best sounding bluetooth over the ear headphones in this price bracket (under $100). They are very comfortable on, appear and feel well made. While they are not audiophile level sound they are quite decent. The highs aren't tinny, the bass is good with out distorting the mids. They have good volume. I haven't used the mic so I can't speak to that. Battery life is more then adequate, allowing at least 3 consecutive days of 6+ hours of usage per day before needing a charge. Overall I'd be satisfied with these even if they were around the $150 mark.

They are comfortable, even for long periods, sound great, battery lasts a long time, block out sound pretty well, fold up nice and compact, and weren't super expensive. My only complaint is that I wish they were a little more durable. The plastic on the part that actually holds the headphone speakers has broken twice just from traveling in my bag. I was able to repair them with super glue and they still work fine but I had to buy a hard case to protect them. It was very inexpensive online but definitely makes them a much bulkier addition to my already full bag.
