I'm no stranger when it comes to Sol Republic product line and sound quality so when they announced the Amps Air I was hoping Best Buy got them first (in which they did..)
Pricing...
I was unsure about the price at first but when researching other brands with a similar design, but when I discovered this was the best priced; I bought these as soon as I could... Did I really need them? Not really since my Powerbeats2 Wireless was doing just fine for what I need them for... But being the gadget nerd I am, I purchased them anyway...
Overall opinion...
I was curious about the overall design since I always had a bad experience with any in ear product I have ever tried before dued to my different ear size, theses work VERY well after using a medium and large adapter. The tire trending design seems to keep the Amps in place after using the right earplugs of course.
Sound quality is very impressive for such a small size, not sure if it's noise cancelling but it sure does a good job of it at 30-40% volume.
Battery life is what it is to be expected but since I only use about 30% volume it lasts me a solid 3 hr 20 mins range. The battery pod is very helpful in charging the Amps Air and my iPhone when needed. The battery pod does connect with the Amps magnetically which is pretty cool.
Overall theses are a great step forward to what the future could bring in the world of bluetooth wireless headphones! Great job Sol Republic!

I was looking for some earbuds for workouts and purchased these. I have read a lot of reviews about the how bad the sound is, but after working on helicopters for 10 years, they sound pretty good to me. The issue I have is that the charging contract points on the ear buds themselves stick out just a hair beyond the soft (silicone?) shell and when I put them in, the contact points rub on my ear causing a raw spot after frequent use. I love the design, Bluetooth capabilities, battery length, and charging case. If not for the contact point issue, I would keep these earbuds, they honestly sound very good to me, but they will be going back today.

For the 1st stages this is awesome. This company just gets it with sounds and they keep that great sound in there new entry into this wireless earbuds.
They fit nicely in your ear and they do not fall out. There is not pain after wearing them for more than an hr, you will forget you have them in.
The only missing this for me is that I can't change to the next song in my playlist, but I can answer my phone and hang up.
The price is high this time around, but they have one of the best if not the best pair on the market.

After using twice in last two days during workout, the battery life ranges between 2-2.5 hours before I get the message to recharge. Wish the battery life was a little longer. The earbuds allow you to move freely during workout within worrying about having a bulky set of headphones or wires hanging around your neck. The sound is good, crisp highs and decent bass. Will monitor to see if battery life improves but having the charger case makes charging a snap. I also like the color.

Grabbing these for under $100 is a amazing deal! They sound good, feel good and actually stay in my ears. I really like the fact that they do not have any issues staying in my ear and I don’t have to mess with them during my workout. Give them a try and you won’t be disappointed

Let me say- I am very impressed by these buds. The sound is GREAT for an in-the-ear type. The hold a charge forever and I rarely have to charge the storage box. The range on these things is unreal! I can walk all over my 2600 sq. ft. house without my phone and they never skip a beat. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that they don't seat well in the case. When they don't seat well, they stay connected to your phone and will interrupt your calls, etc. I've started laying the case upside-down on the counter and it's helping. They stay in place when I run and in the south Mississippi heat and humidity that says a lot for their staying power. I love them!

I’ve owned sol republics for sometime and had high expectations for this set. They sound good, good battery life and have a cool charging case but they’re lacking in the comfort and usability front.
Comfort - they’re held in your ear by pressing the silicone against your ear canal (they fall out easily if they’re not tight) and the pressure can hurt a little if you wear them too long.
Usability - they get unpaired from each other often, which means you’re only getting sound out of one bud, and it can be a hassle to re-pair. The worst part is that you only get to hear out of one bud, by design, when making phone calls or FaceTime on an iPhone.

First, I would like to address some of the concerns that arose with myself from reading other reviews. Although most of the reviews were positive I naturally grew concerned with mentions of size, weight, sound quality, sound lag (for video) etc. I would address these first before getting to the meat and potatoes of the review. The size is not large at all, the buds fit nicely in the ear and do not seem overly large, they are not heavy even when taking into account all the electronic goodness that was squeezed into them. Sound, while not the audiophile that some of you are (truthfully I usually listen to audiobooks) but for the sake of review I spent time with my music playlists as well. I sound the sound to be excellent, definitely better than that of AirPods and better than my other bluetooth headphones and buds, great deep sound as well as good highs. Spoken word also very clear and crisp.
Sound lag, if present is not an issue, I spent time with video looking for the lag, if present it was very minute. In fact, When I thought I could catch the faintest trace, I couldn't even be sure, as it was so slight, it may have been my imagination as I was staring so hard, but under normal viewing it was not an issue at all.
Use: Very easy to pair. single button use is clear in instructions but I would read the couple of pages regarding buttons as I did make some errors in mistakenly turning off a bud when I though I was starting play, but that was my error.
I did have an issue with having the buds turn on when removing them from the case. I contacted customer service after hours via email and I had a response first thing the following morning. I am mentioning just in case you experience this. You must make sure the bud is full seated when you place it in the case (the red light on the bud with light up when seated properly) when removed it will turn on, I have noticed that when I hurriedly put them away, I wasn't fully seating one of the buds. The other issue when taking them out, I would slip my fingers on the edges and drop the bud back into the cutout, but not fully seating it, and when i would remove it, it would not be on. Once aware of this situation, I ensure that the bud is fully seated before removing it again and have had no further issues with this.
Battery side of case is excellent, 15 charges to the buds or a full charge of your phone. can't beat that.
In Summary, great ear buds, quality, sound and comfort. I would buy these again.

Excellent sound and bass. Total sound isolation. I loved these so much I bought my wife a pair. You barely have to turn up the volume in your phone. Other buds I have had you would have to turn volume all the way up. Premium sound for sure.

Seriously as close to Audiophile sound in a totally wireless earbud as possible. I tried several brands before I found these. If the rest were 4-6 on a scale of 1-10 these are 9's. Bass is surprisingly good. Pretty much non existent in all of the other ones I tried. Just make sure you get a really good seal or the quality is not nearly as good. They also stay in quite well. Charging case is sturdy, fits in pocket, and charges the earbuds several times. I get 4 - 4 1/2 hours from a full charge.

I've owned a number of Sol Republic products and the amp airs are definitely my favorite. Nice design, great sound, charging "station" that can also charge your phone in a pinch, decent battery life and good mic reception. Biggest issue I've found so far is that you you can not skip or repeat songs as with 2 or 3-button controls...the trade off for total wireless. That aside these are a solid option to apples pods...never liked how those fit my ears where as the amp airs have standard, adjustable cushions. I'd recommend.

The sound quality of these are not bad...but that's only when I could get a good seal. Otherwise, bass is lacking. For the price of these I thought I could do better, so I returned them. Volume? Good. Bass? Good but only with a good seal. Comfort/fit? I thought they were comfortable. However, I found myself having to adjust them too often while trying to get a tight seal. The buds seem to be made pretty well. A big plus was the sturdy case they come in. A big minus is the 3 hour battery life before recharging is needed. I guess if these are strictly for the gym 3 hours of use is sufficient, but I bought these for use at work. Considering I work a 10 hour shift I would have to recharge them at least 3 times just to get me through the day.

These sound great for their little size. They were relatively easy to set up too. They are a bit large and don’t fit snugly in one ear, but overall I’m pleased.

I love the sound and connectivity of this device however the fit is the worst. They do not stay in your ears and seem to pick an inconvenient time to pop out (like what happened w me in the middle of Times Sq in NYC). The battery lasts a decent amount of time (would be nice if longer than 3-4 hours) however the external charge unit was fairly fast. The fitting issue is that there are no wings attached - as you'll find with Samsung and Onkyo's wireless earbuds. I'm hoping they'll create an aftermarket wing otherwise I'll only wear these inside and when I'm not moving my head...

I don't like long reviews. Sound is great, bass is great, having no wires is great, functionality is simple and the charging case keeps them charged forever. Only downside is that there are times where music drops off too much but I found that turning them off/on seems to fix it. I recommend , I hate wires and the sound quality is good. Also no issues with falling out of ears.

Awesome headphones compared to other wireless headphones. Couldn't get them to pair at first because the instructions aren't very clear. When both are on, they are supposed to pair to each other first and then to the phone. However this takes about 10seconds so I kept trying multiple things. You really just have to pair the left one as "amps air" and once that one is paired, insert the right one into your ear and after a few seconds it will pair to the left and your phone. Just be patient lol. Don't connect your amps mono unless you need to connect only the right one. Otherwise you will have to unpair and repair. This was literally the only minor issue I had with these headphones but once you get used to the pairing stuff you'll love them and it'll be easy to do. This is actually much better than most out there because others lag in connectivity or disconnect if you walk away from your phone. These are perfect. I can leave my phone at my desk and move around the office with no difficulty. Also people hear me perfectly fine over the phone.sound quality is amazing when it comes to bass. Not the best sound quality they could be but at the top of the list for what is out in the market, especially at this price. Overall great little things.

The sound on these earbus are very good. High on the bass and the highs are not that good but a great seal with these headsets to your ear will make the sound quality much better. For me the big selling point is the range these headsets get. I can keep my device in another room and they stay connected! You will be satisfied with this purchase!

I wanted freedom from wires. Here is my take on the headphones after two months of use.
I do have to say, I have not used these headphones to take any calls or used them to watch videos. Solely for exercise only.
Pros:
1. Sound is great and isolation is solid. I used equalizer on my iPhone to find the right mid and bass.
2. Fits my ears. It's been difficult to find a pair that fits. Amps do the job.
3. Have worked out hard whether running, jumping or lifting weights, have not fallen out!
Cons:
1. Make sure the amps air are seated or fit firmly in the ear. If not they will fall out.
2. Double check to make sure the buds are seated in the charger correctly when charging. It takes an extra effort to ensure they are seated correctly.
Bottomline - solid pair of headphones for working out! The Amps Air have held up under my workout regimen. They are an investment (expensive). I would not use these headphones as an every day pair for casual use. You can use them casually, but 3 hours of charge will not get you far.
