Customer Ratings & Reviews

The Era 100 is a game-changer. I paired mine with a Sonos soundbar and added Symfonisk bookshelves in the rear for a truly symphonic feel. The dual-tweeters provide incredible stereo separation that fills the room perfectly. Setup was a breeze, and having Bluetooth as a backup to WiFi is a huge plus. The bass is deep for its size, and Trueplay tuning makes the audio crisp. Highly recommend for any home theater!

Certainly! Here’s a well-written personal-style review for the Sonos Era 100 you can post on Amazon, Reddit, a blog, or anywhere else: ⸻ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Sonos Era 100 – Small Speaker, Big Sound I’ve been using the Sonos Era 100 for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say this is one of the best compact speakers I’ve owned. The sound quality is impressive — crisp highs, warm mids, and surprisingly punchy bass for its size. What really stood out to me is the stereo separation, even from a single unit. You can actually hear distinct left and right channels, which adds depth to your music or podcasts. Setup was incredibly easy through the Sonos app, and the Trueplay tuning adjusted the sound perfectly for my room. I love the addition of Bluetooth, which makes it more flexible than the older Sonos One. It also supports AirPlay 2, so I can stream directly from my iPhone or Mac without a hitch. The design is sleek and modern — it fits nicely on my shelf and doesn’t call too much attention to itself. The new touch controls and volume slider on top are intuitive and responsive. One thing to note: there’s no built-in battery, so it’s meant for indoor use only. Also, if you want to connect something via line-in or Ethernet, you’ll need to buy a separate adapter. Overall, I’m very happy with the Era 100. It delivers premium sound in a compact, stylish package. Whether you’re already in the Sonos ecosystem or just looking for a high-quality smart speaker, this is a solid choice.

It started off with one innocent Sonos product. Just a little taste. A single speaker. Harmless, right? Now I’m six deep and fully indoctrinated. The cult has taken me. My living room is a shrine. My wallet has a permanent “Sonos tax.” And honestly? I’m not even mad about it. The Era 100 is the gateway drug that keeps the addiction going. It sounds way bigger and cleaner than something this size has any right to. Clear mids, solid bass for a compact speaker, and that trademark Sonos spatial magic that makes everything feel more expensive than it is. Music, podcasts, background noise while I pretend I’m productive — it just does it right. Setup was stupidly easy (as expected), it plays nice with the rest of the Sonos army I’ve slowly assembled, and it looks clean enough that guests assume I have my life together. The voice control works when it wants to, the app still has its little quirks, and yes, you’re going to end up wanting another one the second this one proves itself. That’s not a bug. That’s the business model. Would I recommend it? Obviously. Just know that once you bring one home, the rest of the family starts whispering about “room-filling sound” and “Trueplay tuning” in the middle of the night. Resistance is futile. One became two. Two became the surrounds. Now we’re here. Send help… or better yet, send more speakers.

Sonos is the king of audio. These speakers are an excellent alternative to the pricey Era 300s. I purchased these as a pair to use as surrounds for my Sonos Arc. They are heavier than one would expect, on the larger side, and produce crisp audio as surrounds. Be aware that if you're to wall mount these - they do not have an upward firing speaker to produce the Atmos effect and are meant to be placed directly behind your seating space at eye level. As mentioned before, they are bulky so please use caution when wall mounting. The speakers have touch controls on the top of the speaker as well as sliding motions for volume control. Although, when connected to the Arc, all volume control is with your television remote. The speakers can be controlled within the Sonos app as well. The only cons I have for these is the setup process. The Sonos app is great and works well but is a bit finicky with setup. Once you have set them up, you'll never need to worry about it again. I have had no issues with disconnects but be aware that if you are to use these as individual speakers for music persay, you will need to unpair them as surrounds and repair the speaker in the Sonos app again. Meaning that you'll have to go through the finicky setup process all over again.

The sound quality is the best in the market. I setup two of them in a pair stereo and placed them in the kitchen. That really motivates us to play our favorite music. The sound we get is so crisp. The balance between bass and treble is perfect, with zero distortion. On top of that they are small and discrete. The white color matches our kitchen and look discrete and beautiful. The price we paid for it was really worth it.

I’m really impressed. The sound quality is rich, detailed, and surprisingly powerful for its size. The design is sleek and minimal, blending in easily with any space. One thing I’d strongly recommend is get more than one. While a single Era 100 sounds great on its own, pairing two really unlocks the full experience. Overall, I highly recommend the Era 100 (especially as part of a set.). It's a great investment if you're building or expanding your home audio setup.

I use this as a standalone speaker and surrounds. It's remarkably loud and boomy with just one speaker, but it's outstanding as a stereo setup. I would recommend two if you have the resources, but one will suffice if you just want music in a room. For surround, these speakers really stand out when you have atmos content playing. Otherwise, they are pretty subtle for most content. Definitely go for the sub first if you only have a sound bar. One last thing. I have a Move 2 as well, and the sound profile is similar. Era is more bassy, but the move is more full in sound (two tweeters). The move 2 essentially functions as a portable (and significantly more expensive) era 100 where you can put anywhere. Last thing. I rarely experience software issues for the speakers, but playing music on the Sonos App can be hit or miss at times. I wouldn't pay $219 for this though. Wait for a slight discount imo.

This is an easy set up. The sound is amazing! So glad that I will also be able to add other units to my sound system for a whole home experience!

Love the sound of the Era 100. Has a good amount of bass and can get plenty loud. This is a stereo speaker so you get a wide sound from a single one. Sonos lets you combine two for a much bigger sound stage. It needs only a single cord for power so it has a very clean look. I enjoy the free Sonos radio built into the app and can play my SoundCloud playlists. I have tried the mini jack adapter that worked well for an old CD player but it has too much audio delay to be used with a TV or computer.

Just moved. No TV’s yet. Ordered a Sono Era online for same day pick up. So easy to set up, great sound quality, blends in nicely on kitchen counter, and kept me company playing Christmas Jazz while I wrapped presents!

I love this Sonos Era 100 WIFI and Bluetooth Smart Speaker. It’s so easy to connect to your phone or TV. The sound that comes from that speaker is so rich and powerful. I absolutely love it.

Great sound. Easy to sync and to use from phone. I added Pandora, Amazon Music and I❤️Radio. Works great off of Echo Dot if you have one I live in a tiny place so one is enough. Also on sale when I purchase.

Very happy with the sound and ease of set up for the system. I don't know why more people don't buy these instead of bluetooth speakers. This is MUCH better quality!

The Sonos Era 100 delivers rich and balanced sound across a wide frequency range. The speaker also supports Trueplay tuning, which automatically adjusts the sound to suit the acoustics of your room. Unlike the Beam Gen 1 I own, you can chose to tune it automatically, so no more phone waving. You can also use the Sonos app to adjust the bass, treble, and loudness settings to your preference. The speaker can stream music from various sources, such as Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, and more. You can also use AirPlay 2 or Bluetooth to play music from your iPhone, iPad, or other devices. The speaker can also be paired with other Sonos speakers to create a multi-room system or a stereo pair. You can also use the speaker as part of a home theater setup with a Sonos Arc or Beam soundbar and a Sonos Sub. The speaker supports voice control via Amazon Alexa or the Sonos Assistant, which lets you control your music, smart home devices, and more with your voice. I do wish it had the google assistant or Siri support but Alexa works well. Features The Sonos Era 100 has several smart features that make it more than just a speaker. For example, you can use the speaker as an alarm clock by setting a music alarm in the Sonos app. The speaker also has a touch-sensitive surface that lets you control playback, volume, and voice assistant with simple gestures. You can tap to play or pause, swipe to skip tracks. You can also mute the microphone with a physical switch if you want some privacy. Value It sounds incredible and fills a room with sound better than I imagined for its size, but the Sonos Era 100 costs $249, which is not cheap for a wireless speaker. However, considering its sound quality, features, design, and compatibility with other Sonos products, I think it is worth the price. The speaker offers a premium listening experience that is hard to find in other speakers of its size. The speaker also offers smart functionality that enhances its usability and convenience. The speaker also integrates well with other Sonos speakers to create a seamless audio system for your home. Conclusion The Sonos Era 100 is an impressive wireless speaker that delivers excellent sound quality and smart features in a compact and stylish design. The speaker is easy to set up and use with the Sonos app or voice control. The speaker also supports various streaming services and audio formats, as well as multi-room and home theater capabilities. The speaker also has some unique features like Trueplay tuning that can make it sound exactly how you want it. If you are looking for a wireless speaker that offers high-fidelity sound in a small package, you should consider the Sonos Era 100. It is one of the best speakers in its class and a great addition to any Sonos system.

Interestingly, I started with having to have the best to enjoy my quality of life experiences! Jet engines made hearing aids necessary. And... I LOVE music and all things sound! I play guitar and write music in my home studio downstairs. I started with buying the Arc, two Sonos One Gen two speakers (before era 100's were a thing) for surround and a large subwoofer - all for my living room/family room home experience. Also, a large screen TV. Top Gun Maverick COMES TO LIFE! I then learned of the Era 100's with their 25% larger woofers - HAD to have them! Just to see if they merited the hype... Jury is still out. I then decided that our Master bedroom would benefit from a Beam, the Sonos One Gen 2's for surrounds, and a mini sub! Therefore, I swapped the downstairs theater room/living room Sonos One, Gen twos for the Era 100's for the increase in base in the large room that hosts more company and we entertain. Justifiable, right? (Humor) Well, both rooms now sound terrific, but truthfully, it's really hard to tell whether the Eras make THAT much of a difference. I will likely buy another set for our sunroom as well as another, either mini sub or larger sub for outside... There are several other rooms that could go either way. Still building, still experimenting. I do LOVE the control options that are offered with simple phone applications and rooms controls! Sonos thought this through really well. I'm a fan of companies and people that think things through! A bit pricey, but the sound is incredible! Be well all! Brian

These rear speakers aren’t obtrusive or overwhelming, they add ambience to movies and shows, but they won’t have you turning your head. It’s very much “in the background” sound. I suggest the Sanus metal stands to save $ off the Sonos stands

I have a pair of these in stereo and it sounds just so good. I play music on them pretty much everyday for myself or even for my kids. They have become a natural part of our lives at home!

Whenever I go to this one shop they have a couple speakers linked together and the sound always was crisp with the right level of bass, beautiful sound quality. I’m actually a bose fan, but, the sound that comes out of this speaker is fantastic. Had to get at least one, for now…

Excellent product. The quality is solid and it works exactly as described. Setup was quick and easy, and it feels well-made and durable. I’ve been using it consistently with no issues so far. Definitely worth the purchase and I would recommend it to anyone looking for something reliable and straightforward.

Sonos has to be the best wireless speakers I’ve ever heard! I have a Sonos system in 3 rooms in my home and I couldn’t be happier. Sure I could spend 10k plus on a “proper” home theater system but when I show people how great the Sonos sounds they are blown away! It’s incredibly easy to set up and works flawlessly within the 3 years I’ve been using. A very immersive experience!
