Sonos Sub Gen 3 provides missing dimension.

This Sonos Gen 3 Sub completes my Sonos Beam and One SL system. It provides that missing dimension I didn't think I needed. I could have waited for the Gen 4, but the information between the two were sparse at time of purchase. I doubt I could discern the difference in improvement between the two. It has a large room filling sound for having such a small footprint, It's aesthetically pleasing, can be placed or hidden in inconspicuous places if desired, but mostly it performs! Yes it's expensive, but in a few months I'll have forgotten it's cost, while still savoring the rich deep clean bass for years to come.

The Sonos Sub delivers deep, powerful bass that enhances any Sonos audio setup, making it perfect for home theaters or music lovers seeking immersive sound. The wireless design is easy to integrate, and the sleek, modern look fits seamlessly into any room. When paired with other Sonos speakers, the Sub dramatically improves the overall sound quality, adding depth and richness to the audio. Although it’s on the expensive side, the performance justifies the price, especially for those who prioritize high-quality sound. The setup is straightforward, and the Sub's impact on your listening experience is immediately noticeable, making it a must-have for serious audiophiles.

If you’re looking for the ultimate experience when it comes to sound systems, this is it!
Had the Gen 2 before with the sound bar and it was amazing.
We wanted to upgrade and bought the Gen 3 subwoofer and the new Sonos Arc sound bar.
We were mind blown how amazing it sounds!
The beautiful thing about Sonos is that with the app you can set them up easy and fast by walking through your room with the phone in hand to give the Sonos a feel for the height and size of the room your setting them up in. It will optimize it to give you the most amazing sound experience ever.
They are pricey but absolutely worth every penny! You’ll get what you payed for!!
I promise you will love it just as much as me and my family!
And once you go high quality like Sonos you won’t ever even consider buying anything else!

The Critical addition to your Sonos system

I’m not new to subs, but finding ones that meet the wife’s approval is difficult.
We transitioned with our last move from the single-room audiophile rack/tower/center speakers/stereo subs to multiple rooms of Sonos.
It’s working for both wife and husband; working for the husband now that the sub(s) are in the system.
This is a powerful unit & a good value on sale. I’m still adjusting the output and final locations, but your arc/beam needs this sub to truly replace separates and unleash the sound-bar’s potential. It all (mostly) disappears into a wall of sound.

Paired with my Sonos Arc, this rocks! Music, movies whatever your viewing on your tv or rocking out to, you'll love this set up. It's just that impactful to your ears. Definitely recommended as a upgrade to your Sonos sound bar although in a small space, the Sonos Arc alone will be sufficient. Fits in anywhere perfectly.

The Sonos Sub is Excellent

Huge and articulate sound, especially for its size. I feel it is worth the money. I use with a Sonos Amp and an additional sub (a Gen 1 and this Gen 3). I am a metalhead and I've found the Sonos sub to be perfect for that. There is enough bass to feel the thump of the kick drum, but it's articulate enough that you can still hear both the bass guitar and kick during fast passages. It moves plenty of air to fill a big room with bass during a movie also, but I've found that it really shines with music.
The above still applies to only having one sub, but the second sub really shines in my listening room because I don't have enough room treatments to avoid large bass cancellations in some of the listening positions. So with one sub, parts of the room had super full bass and other parts didn't. Adding the second sub has now filled out the sound in the listening positions that were previously suffering. Current room I listen in is pretty large. It's an open floorplan, with the living room, kitchen, and dining room.
I bought my first Sonos Sub in late 2015. At that point, I was using an SVS PB1000 (a 12" ported sub) and literally never missed it once it was gone. This is likely subjective because of my music tastes, so take with a grain of salt. I do watch a lot of movies and TV though, and still super happy with the Sonos Sub.
If I was forced to say anything I dislike, it would be difficult. I would imagine a high end sub setup could still be significantly better than this, especially because bigger speakers can just literally move more air, but with my specific tastes and room, I'm very happy with these.

Was hesitant at first with sonos new app but setup in seconds and sounds absolutely incredible. No issues with 2x of these, arc and 2x era 300s. Also if you want to tweak it yourself there are some great guides online or use trueplay.

This is my first Dolby Atmos soundbar. I received the Arc 2 days before the Sub so I got to try it out without the sub at first. While it was impressive without the sub, it’s on an entirely other level with it. I really can’t recommend getting the sub enough! It’s paired with a Samsung Q90T which seems to work very well with the new Sonos products! Sound is amazing and it’s true when they say it’s very directional. Setting things up with the new Sonos app is different but very simple and straightforward for the most part. At the end of the day though it’s all about sound quality and this thing absolutely delivers!

This is a must buy for your Sonos setup. Yes it’s expensive but worth it for what you’re getting. Adding the sub made a massive difference to my home theater system. Originally purchased the Sonos Arc, then added the ones as surrounds and lastly the sub. The sub opens up and completes the system. The sub not only takes over the lows but will also improve the sound of the arc by it taking over the mids/highs. The bass is tight and accurate and will undoubtedly shake your room. Adds a dramatic effect to your movie watching experience. If you’re planning on/already purchased the Arc, do yourself a favor and add the sub you won’t be disappointed.

I don’t need to go to a movie theater with these surrounds. Perfect for my 85” TV, easy to calibrate because everything is spoon feeding to install. I never regret buying it. The price is more than worth it.

This unassuming subwoofer while stylish also delivers. Looks small, skinny but hits heavy. This is one of those you get what you pay for items. This thing also weighs more than you think, as stated unassuming. At first when I got it home, I didn’t think it added much. I was looking for an impact and not just in my wallet but translated to something in my listening experience. I went into the settings after it did its Sonos calibration turned the bass up to 9 and it was exactly what I thought it should be. This thing delivers. Catch it on one of the many sales Sonos runs for 20% off.

My Sonos home theater setup was not complete til I purchased this sub. I initially purchased the Arc and SL Ones but was not satisfied with it due to the lack of bass. Before returning it I decided to purchase the sub to test it out but had low expectations due to the small dual 6" drivers. Let me tell you, it blew me away!! I also purchased the Klipsch cinema 800 before hand and thought the 10" sub would blow this one out of the water, I was so wrong! Sonos killed Klipsch with clarity and bass. Seriously if youre on the fence with purchasing this, do it, its a game changer, it SHAKES my whole room!! I also purchased mine used from BestBuy as there were no stock available except for the open box sub and it turned out like new!

I had the sonos arc already set up and it sounded great on it's own but the only thing it was lacking was that big bad bass that you can only really get with a dedicated subwoofer and wow do they deliver a 1, 2 punch! Now I'm rewatching my blue rays, especially my action movies and with my LG Oled, Sony Blu-ray player, Sonos Arc and sub I am really enjoying these movies again and hearing and seeing them as they should be seen and heard. I just watched Under Siege and the sound was awesome, this Sonos subwoofer really made it an immersive experience. I felt like I was in the theatre hearing all the guns and bombs going off...or was I, too, actually on the battleship helping Casey Ryback take out these terrorists! Buy the sub is worth every penny! End of story

I’ve used both Gen 3 and Gen 2 Sub with the Arc and 2 one SL’s...the difference of course is what you’ve heard about the internals more memory and processor and supposedly better connectivity....what you need to know that I bet you don’t....the surrounds and cones On the Gen2 and Gen3 are different...Gen3 has a tad deeper cone driver and the foam or rubber surrounds are not as big as the Gen2....what’s this matter?...Common sense will tell you...the Gen2 sub has a fuller sound due to more flex in the drivers and the Gen3 sub has a less full sound and is tighter...due to less flex in the drivers...
I’m still on the fence...back and forth about which one I’ll end up keeping...I’ll do a follow up later after some more listening and demo of more music, tv and movies...

I purchased with Sonos Arc, the sound quality was impressive. Sonos Arc have good sound effect , if you need theater effect recommend Sonos Subwoofer. Sound was seamless without delay , I used Sonos Arc without Subwoofer for a week, realized need a Subwoofer for a complete theater effect.
Cons: Only issue both combined little expensive.
