I tried just hitting the button, nothing worked. I then used the cable and nothing still. I had to go grab a completely different cable and it finally connected. Ever since though, it has worked perfectly! No issues at all.

If you haven't yet upgraded from the PS3 to the PS4 you will be surprised with the new features of this controller. I especially like the touch pad like feature that makes text entry very easy.

Owned several third party controllers while much cheaper, they all ended up in the trash due to buttons getting stuck and randomly turning on the console.

The rubber on the sticks has been much improved and the battery lasts a bit longer. Other than that it is virtually the same. Between the 2, I would choose this newer one.
