My mom needed an upgrade from her 32" TV, but she has a small table where her TV is placed. Additionally, she sits in one spot to watch TV. The 50" X85K first came in view because the feet are the right distance apart to fit on her table. Mom watches sports, so the 120Hz panel also stood out to me over other TVs in the price range. The promise of Sony image quality added to the appeal of the X85K. I was able to get an open box excellent deal on the TV. I set up the TV for her this past weekend. I helped her get her YouTubeTV, Disney+, and Netflix all configured. After some tweaks, the picture looks great. SDR has lovely colors and smooth motion. For HDR, the TV automatically selected DolbyVision on Disney+. Even off angle viewing wasn't all that bad. Other plus: the new Sony remote is nice and simple. No more number pad makes it easy to use. Sound is what it is. Without a soundbar, it was okay, but I added a soundbar. Speaking of the soundbar, I connected it via eARC, but no sound came out. I did some research and found an article on Sony. After unplugging all the HDMI and power cables then reconnected them, HDMI first, sound did come out through the soundbar. Overall, I am very pleased since my mom is very pleased. She is so impressed and loves her new TV.

This TV is absolutely amazing! The picture image is vivid and bright with the color just lighting up the screen! The setup is about as easy as you can have. It took only minutes to get it started. I love all the apps available and how simple it is to add additional ones as needed. Sound is decent but I have a Bose system so a little biased about that. This is my first Sony purchase and I must say for the price, this TV is a fantastic deal. Highly recommend!

I'm thoroughly impressed with the Sony 50-inch X85K TV. Its vibrant colors bring scenes to life, making every moment on screen a visual delight. Setting it up was a breeze, and the sound quality is surprisingly decent. Compared to other models I've seen, the picture quality is unmatched, with realistic colors that pop off the screen. What sealed the deal for me was the recommendation from the salesman. They confidently endorsed this TV over others in the same class, and now I understand why. It's truly a top-notch choice, offering exceptional value for the money. In summary, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This Sony TV exceeds my expectations in every way and is undoubtedly the best investment I've made for my entertainment setup.

The tv is of good quality. It was easy to setup. Some of the connections were a bit different due to having an older flat screen. The samsung sound bar doesn't connect properly to the sony model. I am happy with the TV over all. I had to choose this model due to the samsung model I wanted was not in stock. It was also more expensive than I had planned.

The picture on this TV is excellent, right out of the box. Calibration further improves the color sports, nature shows, and live TV. The 4K streaming quality is impressive. Adding channels is easy, but only a limited number appear as defaults. There are two quibbles I have that kept me from giving this TV a five-star rating. First, I was unable to program my FIOS satellite TV with the supplied remote. I could switch to FIOS TV, but I couldn’t record or play back shows. That requires the FIOS remote. Second, the remote doesn’t light up. All remotes should have an option light up when they are picked up so that the controls are visible.

Great for gaming. Supports 4k, HDR and 120hz refresh rate. Also has another option for gaming of putting a red reticle for Shooter games. Support VRR. My only gripe is the OS it uses for streaming apps. Constantly freezing even after updating the apps. Have to rely on force "restart", because it's probably running other apps in the background. Some apps have slight glitches even after 2 years *sigh*.

Wonderful TV with a price point well worth its features. Perfect for Movie's and Video games. With 120Hz and HDR (Dolby Vision) a perfect combination for PS5. X85K offers features that are normally only scene on much higher end TV's. Sony TV's may cost a bit more but you are getting what you pay for (High Quality build High Quality Picture)

The TV looks amazing, and I love that it has Dolby vision. It's the perfect size for a bedroom TV for me. It was an open box and the box had definitely been opened but it was taped up well enough and arrived safely. My only complaint is that it's missing the mounting hardware it's supposed to come with. Aside from that, the price was great and it's perfect for me. Looking forward to trying the 120hz PS5 setup soon. Great deal on the open box too.

We love the overall crisp picture settings on the TV. The colors are outstanding.No issues and ended up purchasing another one.

This Tv is absolutely remarkable. With its 4k 120 hz display; you can game on your ps5 knowing that you are getting the best quality of your game every single gaming session. Even watching movies are made amazing with the X85k’s picture settings and support of hdr 10+. I would really recommend this to anyone who loves gaming, movies, sports and fun.

Clear picture sound is great and love love love the google interface. If you have google setup in your home it’s super easy to control the tv hands free. “Hey google turn on/off the tv, set the volume to…, pause,stop,rewind.” If you have a PS5 it syncs flawlessly press the logo on the PS5 remote control and it will load up PS5 even if the tv is off it’ll turn it on and automatically change the input to the console. Could not be happier!

Great TV. This tv is fantastic. Love the picture quality, the sound is unbelievable clean and defined. It’s the only TV I ever bought that it’s eArc/Arc work instantly. I really loved that feature. Overall, this TV is good and more for the price. I recommend this TV to anyone looking for a good not to expensive television.

Absolutely love this tv. Its so crisp and perfect for my xbox series x. 120hz plays great.

Our first smart tv. Still learning some of the things it can do. Was easy to set up and I remembered my router password, so that went quick. The size was the same as our old one so it fit into the entertainment center. Sound is ok, but better/fuller through the sound bar.

It is a great TV. Love all the amenities it has. The picture has such great quality. The definition to the quality of the colors is super. The sound is like a movie theater. I am so satisfied with this TV. The best for the bedroom.

Mainly use it for the playstation picture quality is what i expect it to be, very good also nice to game with 120 frames. Took a bit to get the surround sound to communicate with tv was not easy but not to bad. Would buy again tho

This Sony-50" Class Goggle TV is more than I expected. First I thought it would be too big. It isn't, it's actually the perfect size. It has great color and sound and love that we can use voice to activate and scroll through to find what we want to watch. Very happy hubby purchased after my no we don't need this! :)
