The backlit lighting is too bright were it fades the numbers. The lighting can be reduced but then the time dims even more. Hard to read the time.

I was in the market for a dual-alarm clock, and I'm quite particular about the display -- I just won't buy a clock with green or red characters. This had a nice blue display, and it had all of the features I wanted. The display can easily be dimmed via the big "snooze" button on top of the clock, and I liked how it also included a temperature display. I also appreciate the "nature sounds" it can play -- I use those every now and then to mask other sounds when I'm trying to sleep. This is a rather premium dual-alarm clock radio, and I definitely appreciate its compact size. The only drawback that some people might see is how the power cord is a very thin cord connected to a rather largish "power block" at the end you plug in -- it might be a little difficult to plug in if you have some kind of tight situation. That wasn't a problem for me, but I thought it was worth mentioning in this review. In the end, I'm quite happy with it -- I looked at a lot of other alternatives before I bought it, and I definitely thought it met my needs better than anything else on the market.

I enjoy the nature sounds that are offered. This product is pretty simple, can't complain.

Fine for falling asleep at night. I'm using mostly the seaside sounds at night.

the instructions are too small to read. i had to google them to enlarge the words and i still have to use a magnifying glass to see what it says. in fact when i googled them, one of the things i was asked was whether or not the print was too small. hint, hint. if the manufacturer asks, that's a clue, huh? so far i have no patience to try to make it work. also the antennae is a weird hoop-thing that sits separate from the radio on the table but is connected to the radio by a wire. altogether clumsy.

Bought this alarm clock for it's sound effects to help with falling asleep. Effects and radio are of poor sound quality. Effects are also short-looped. Not worth the price.

My son hasn't over slept for school yet . Big number are easy to see.

Using this for massage practice, sound is good and easy to use.

NEEDED A SMALL RADIO WITH A CLOCK FOR MY BATHROOM, ITS SMALL AND GETS GREAT RECEPTION, JUST WHAT I NEEDED

AM radio reception is very poor as the antenna is poorly designed. Difficult to see digital display even when lit. Too dim.

Easy to set up and use. Alarm volume is a little low, but useable

Scares me every time the buzzer goes off. Have not been late to work since 5/5 from me 1/5 from my heart.

Bought this for an alarm clock in the bedroom. The settings are not the easiest to set. Like the fact there are two alarms. The numbers are large and bright, but impossible to see from a distance at night. Other than these few things, it's a good inexpensive clock. I trust the Sony name also.

I'm not a fan of alarm clocks but this one is worth the money and looks great on your nightstand.

I am mourning the loss of my 33 year old GE digital clock radio.(Got stepped on by a family member). It was way ahead of its time, having a KEYPAD to allow DIRECT entry of clock times, and radio station frequencies! Gradual wakeup. I had to quickly get another radio, and settled on this Sony. Slim Design, room temperature display, and nature sounds for wakeup. Setting the clock/ wakeup times is not very intuitive so do not expect to change the wakeup times on the fly. Weekend vs weekday wake up times could be assigned to alarm 1 or 2. This does not work for me since I need both alarms to wake up in the middle of the night. One interesting feature is the radio's backlight. It can be dimmed or fully shut off at bedtime, and turns on bright enough to land a plane at wakeup time. Sensitivity of the AM/ FM receiver is ok. An external AM antenna(included) must be hooked up to get anything other than static. In summary, this Sony does what it is supposed to do, just not very easily. But this seems to be typical of clock radios these days.!
