Required for PS4 online gaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When you upgrade to a PS4, you learn that you are required to have a Sony membership to be able to use the online multi-player games. To soften the blow they tout that there are free games, but my son said they are free for a reason. Bottom line, you have to have this now if you want to play multiplayer games on your PS4.

Okay overall for me.

Also some multiplayer games require it to play Online. Personally it’s not necessary for me since I don’t buy digital games and don’t really like the free games they give out.
