Technology changes things. I didn't spend as much as I did 7 years ago. I wanted to not get 4K or above. I also wanted to be able to connect with an Ethernet cable. I did no research before going into Best Buy and got two new devices that do what I need.

Best app options

They no longer carried the ape we are interested in. We returned it & purchased this Sony because it supported all the apps we wanted, Netflix, Hulu, amazon & many more. It's quick, not super fast but it loads videos & discs at a respectful speed.
