Really happy with this unit. It does exactly what it claims to do for a fair price. If I could change one thing, the method for entering username and password for the various app accounts is annoying, but it's similar to what most other similar units put the customer through.

We got this for our vacation cottage that gets spotty antenna TV. But, using our WiFi, this offers lots of options/apps- a few free, most requiring an account. The only thing I don’t like is having to create an account even for free apps, but that’s the way it is these days!

This DVD player is compact, but more powerful than I could have imagined. Beautiful transmission of either standard or blue ray DVDs, with quality sound reproduction. I strongly recommend this unit for anyone looking for a quality DVD player at a reasonable price.

I bought this for my mother. It was easy to set up. I took away 1 star because it seems every time she uses it, it has to log into her wireless network. It is like setting it up every time. I am not sure if this is an issue with the blu-ray player or her tv. It's a hassle for her every time

Super easy to setup! Pretty much from box to tv and movies watched. I love the very small footprint of this blu Ray player. Seamless registration on the Sony website. Bonus- finally a piece of electronics with a small remote.

It's a great blu-ray player with wifi connectivity in case you want to stream netflix, hulu etc without a smart TV or game console. It can be a little loud when using a blu ray or dvd, but it's not too bad. Also, it doesn't include an HDMI cable, so you'll have to buy that separately.

I went in store to purchase a Wi-Fi smart Blu-ray player, and came across this Blu-ray player as an open-box item. impressed with the price, and the fact that everything, including all paperwork was still there with it! loved it! use it everyday! and the warranty is still the same too.

I needed to replace my dvd player and got the Sony one. I really like it. Only things is, the remote is too small and no light on it for changing channels, ect. in the dark.

I wuv wuv wuv this unit. Small, compact, and the BEST part is the WIFI is far superior to what's in my LG 32". I frequently - could be location issues - use the SONY versus the LG TV for apps. Great unit.

Since having a young child and not wanting to pay for cable, they lost their DVR to their baby for videos in the play room, thus mom and dad can enjoy one now that we got this for them for Christmas. They love it and use it when they get a chance and has great features and clarity.

I was looking for a good Blu-Ray DVD player that I could easily set up outside by my hot tub. This player is small and works very well in the house or outside next to the hot tub. It is easy to move and hook up to different televisions. I am very pleased with this player" s performance.

This is my first blue ray player. It was relatively easy to set up. However every time I try to view something on Amazon Prime Video I get a message that there is not sufficient bandwidth. I don’t know what that means. So I can only watch Netflix or DVDs. Disappointed.

Got this as a gift for my wife and her TV. Got my dad one in March for his birthday and he loved it! My wife loved it too and tried to talk him into trading it for the old one she had. Like that was going to happen!

Although small, the player is full of big surprises. I use it with a Sony TV. The player automatically syncs with the Sony and the internet. The remote control manages all you need via the player and TV.

Pretty simple but hate that it does not remember your login info for netflix, hulu etc. If you change input to watch cable and then switch back you have to log in each time. It lags on that part, sometimes taking 5 mins to acknowledge your login info, etc. To the point where I have had to unplug it and plug it back in. The guy at Best Buy really sold me on this saying it was the best and I'm completely disappointed in the quality for the price.Especially because I haven't even had it for 6 months!

We purchased this blueray player after purchasing one from a competitor a year ago. The other one had issues from the start. We had to unplug it almost daily to reboot it. This one is plug and play. No messing around. We use it for all of our needs. I would highly recommend it.

Ok for a sony but hulu freezes constantly even sfter update

This doesn't have a zoom feature, which is disappointing and surprising. It's also missing "fast-view," which keeps the sound (and sub-titles) when you play it slightly faster than normal. This latter feature I use often on another DVD player I have. It's great when you want to speed up slow moving parts of movies without losing content. I certainly miss the older, more costly but full-featured DVD players of yesteryear. That said, this is overall a good unit. I like that the remote has different shaped and colored buttons for various functions. A cheaper model I bought and instantly returned had a remote with all black buttons, all the same shape/size.

Our old DVD player stopped playing DVDs. Did a review search & availability in our area for a new DVD player. This one popped up. We’ve had it over a month & it works great! Remote is simple enough for my kids to use too. I can even use it for home school.
