Okay, but a pain.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This think is a pain. It works, but the smart features are incredibly slow, ifvthey work at all. Also, there are time when the door won't open 9r close. Sony can do better than this.

Works OK, but interfered with Tivo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On its own, this Player worked OK, but I could not use it on my main TV because it interfered with the Tivo on that TV. I do not know why that was, but the Tivo crashed with this Player connected to the same TV (and not connected through the Tivo).

Having a problem getting attachment cord/plug to h
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was good until I moved and need to attach it to a different T.V. Now I don't have a plug/wire that fits in the back of the player so I can plug it into the different T.V.

Average
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last Sony WIFI/Blueray player was much better. This one lags and it’s so irritating how it has to “initialize” in the HOME screen=delay and double clicking. Expensive but not worth it

It's okay
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's an average blu-ray player. The quality is okay. Not as good as our previous Sony DVD player that we have had since DVD's first came out. The remote is bearable and vague, but it plays blu-ray.

works so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this DVD player was a replacement for one [different brand] that simply would not work. This one was easily hooked up, but it is not "intuitive" to operate. it is also slow to respond to signals from the remote, such as to open the DVD tray.

Not Recommended for Streaming
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start with the positive first. It has a great picture image and is easily placed on top of other components. Now to the nitty gritty! If you use streaming services frequently, or utilize the DLNA feature to stream movies stored on your hard drive, RUN! Run now! I have spoken with Sony Tech Support countless times for countless hours. It’s a known issue. Do a quick search and see how many threads are dedicated to the player not connecting to your server. Obviously it’s your decision, but word to the wise Just Say No.

Returned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not use this product, I returned it. The reviews indicated that it had the Hulu app, but it did not. Hulu was the main reason I bought a new Blu-ray as my old Blu-ray no longer supported Hulu.

Doesn't have Disney+ or prime video apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this because I wanted to watch Disney+ on my tv instead of buying a smart tv. It said it had the app but it doesn't. So bummed. Now i have to go buy a fire stick anyway.

It works but
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great but would not open for Blu Ray disk after awhile nor would it access Netflix. Sony is replacing it with no argument but can’t take it to store. Have to go thru Sony.

do not buy this
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this player and after 2 weeks it would not even boot up. I returned it to Best Buy and exchanged it for another and within 2 weeks the new did the same thing. I finally returned it and purchased a different player.

Decent dvd - no amazon prime streaming ability
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for the ability to stream since our TV is not a smart TV. However, was surprised to find that amazon no longer supports amazon prime streaming from this device, so we returned it.

So, So
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a blu-ray player with Wi-Fi connectivity and this has those but it was not impressive. The control buttons were not responsive and the options for apps was limited. It could have been better.

Use Blue Ray to stream Hulu & Netflix
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can get Netflix with no problems but Hulu is a different story. I'm always having problems.

Does the job
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a streaming device and was considering a Roku, but since I needed a DVD/BluRay player too thought I'd get this. Button response time at startup is laggy, and not as many "channels" as a Roku, but it does its job.

There are maybe 30 apps at most.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this blue ray player and bought a new tv instead. This Sony only has around 30 apps most of which I'd never heard of and looked like garbage, in spite of the box and website saying it had more than 300, but forget about finding out before you buy it what it does have, that info is no where to be found. I think the only useful app it had was Netflix, but no Amazon Prime or any other steaming service I use. I never played a disk with it, took it back to Best Buy as soon as I discovered it's limitations.

Decent Blu-ray
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Its a Blu-ray player. It plays Blu-ray and DVD movies just like it says it does. It doesn’t display the movie time when paused so that kinda sucks and I don’t really like the Netflix display.

It is an ok DVD player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has many pre installed services like Netflix. Downside is that it takes some time for it to reconnect to the network if you turn off the machine when not in use. It can take 2 or 3 minutes to reconnect to our Comcast network.
