When I first got it sometimes it would shut off during a movie. Hasn't done that recently. It also stopped picking up my home WIFI. Overall an ok purchase.

I thought this player would last longer, but it was not. I was broken after 2 years. The player had difficulties to connect with internet in my apartment.

If you need a Blu Ray player. This one seems just as good as any that I have encountered. Not a glowing review but it was I put in the summary heading. Capable and acceptable.

Just an ok Blu Ray player. It'll play blu rays fine but the start up time is slow and the streaming apps are horrible and Sony doesn't have HBO Now app.

Player is ok but does not support Amazon Prime. Very disappointed because of that. No notice to let me know that in advance.

Previously owned a Sony BDP that worked very well. This BDP has a better layout of APPs. However, this BDP seems more glitchy. Frequently crashes, exclaiming network problems. I check speed on the BDP test app and all looks fine. Very recently all fine one evening; the next evening error message - no network setup. Using Easy 123 (router search failed, so manual) several times and power reboots before working again. Rare network problems with my laptop and none with my tablet (checked these durning trouble).

Purchased because it is a Sony. Usually reliable products. Used very sparingly due to abundance of movies on Amazon and Xfinity. Plays cosistant and looks good on 65" Tv.

We bought this on a killer sale- Black Friday last year I think? Still works. No issues! My husband says that they don’t last long, so he rated it a 3.

I enjoy having the blue ray player because of the apps that are downloaded. I'm a little disappointed that I can't download the streaming cable app I want

This thing is terrible. What has happened to Sony? The picture quality when streaming Netflix or Amazon Prime is horrible bootleg quality. It stops every fifteen minutes to buffer. The documentation that comes with this hunk of garbage is as bad---good luck finding directions for how to connect with Amazon Prime, for instance. I guess they figure, why hire technical writers to write something helpful when we can just force our customers to try to find it out on the internet? It makes me angry that I have to take this piece of junk all the way back to the store on the mainland. I never want to buy a Sony product again.

Seems like it may take more wifi signal. Wifi turns off and on. Our wifi is week so it may not be enough to support this device

It was an easy setup and it worked great. The problem it did not have the latest streaming services such as Disney.

My grandparents are content with their gift. unfortunately they can’t add Hulu or Disney or any of the other subscriptions.

My internet is fine with every other device in my home but this one. It is a struggle to connect every time we want to use it.

I had a Sony Blu ray player that was only a year old with problems bought somewhere else. This one was to replace it and it is not working right. It's staying stuck on a screen that just says Blu ray. It will not respond to the remote or buttons pushed disk tray or power button, no matter how many times unplugged. Not happy glad I got the Warrenty but it's a hassle as I don't have a store near by.

The esthetics and size were fine but I wasn’t able to download extra streaming platforms like Disney, Apple or HBO :(

I like this smart blu ray player just OK. I bought it because my TV is not a Smart tv. It loads very very slow!

I don't know if the freezing problem is unique to the unit that I purchased or common to the model. I do not have the box for a return. When it is working it is great.

Takes a long time to connect to the wifi every time you turn it on. Almost 2 minutes before I can open netflix.

works fine, has all the bells and whistles just like any other blu-ray player out there, but this one the operation system little bit slow and constantly updating.
