I love this movie so much, I've re-watched it so many times. Everyone who was cast fits their roll perfectly. I was happy to see Best Buy had a Steelbook version!

Great atmos sound & hdr picture. This one is probably my favorite of the 3. Don't get me wrong they are all great movies. Could potentially be a reference quality movie. If you want to test your surround sound system well here you go. Looked good on my Samsung tv & blu-ray player. Comes with a embossed slip cover digital copy which redeems in 4k bonus disk & a blu-ray disk.

Glad I bought this on Black Friday but the only reason I am not giving this product 5 stars (you will notice I gave it a 4 and not a 1 because I'm not going to trash this product with a one-star review over the following issue which is very likely Paramount's fault.) is because when I opened it at home, I found out that instead of what was supposed to be a 4K Digital Copy+4K UltraViolet code for Star Trek (2009), it had a 4K Digital Copy+4K UltraViolet code for Interstellar. And before anyone says "well, you bought a used copy." False, I DID NOT buy a used copy on Black Friday as Best Buy DOES NOT sell used copies of movies or used copies of television shows, not even on Black Friday. This happened to me with a brand new, factory sealed copy which I had to exchange for another one to make sure I got the correct 4K Digital Copy voucher. Again, I firmly believe that the guilty party for this is Paramount and ONLY Paramount and no one else. That's why I am giving this 4 stars and not 1 star. Aside from that one issue, the discs were in perfect condition and I look forward to seeing the 4K UltraHD version of this movie since this is the only Star Trek movie that didn't result in a double-dip. If you buy this, make sure the code voucher is correct. If you buy this and get an Interstellar 4K Digital Copy code voucher, exchange it for another one so you get the Star Trek (2009) 4K Digital Copy code voucher.

I will review the 4k edition. After owning the Blu-ray edition, I have to say the 4k edition is a step up, especially with HDR and Dolby Atmos. The colors really pop since you have a high dynamic range. Blacks are blacks and the beautiful background scenery throughout the movies pop. The Enterprise looks absolutely stunning. Dolby Atmos brings the actions all around you. From front, back, and the top, it feels like you're in the action. Is it worth $22 bucks? Not really. If you have the Blu-ray and you're happy with it, I wouldn't pick this up. Now if it's on sale for $7.99 or even less if you have some rewards certificate, yea, why not.

As an avid fan of Star trek this movie when I originally saw it was good enough for me to buy. 4K made this good enough to buy again this time I have to say I am impressed with the 4K mastering of this movie whileI'm no expert, I do believe this is a significant step up from the HD version. I was also able to redeem a 4K digital copy with this purchase.

I picked this up on a whim and have seen it before in the theater, but in 4K this movie really stands out to me. With the addition HDR if your TV can support it, this movie looks amazing. I can't speak for the other movies in the series, but if they look anything like this in 4K I'm definitely going to pick them up!

Already had it in Blu-ray, bought this one for the sound...Atmos is only available on 4K. Yes, if you love the movie it's worth the upgrade.

Star Trek (2009) in 4K was a HUGE upgrade from my 720p DVD copy. It looked amazing on screen. My only qualms were the fact that there was no slipcover on the case as well as the fact that the 4K/UHD digital copy was only redeemable through iTunes and I think FandangoNow. So, instead of using it, I had to purchase a digital copy through Amazon so that I could access it through my Firestick seeing as Paramount does not participate in MoviesAnywhere.

As someone who grew up a Star Wars fan and didn’t know about Star Trek until these films, they certainly brought me around to loving these characters and this universe. I would recommend these movies to Trekkies and sci-fi fans alike!

JJ really did a pretty amazing job making this reboot. The movie looks amazing and the cast is incredible. The only real downside is just how different this star trek is from the original but in some ways that is a good thing.

I’m new to the 4k movement by recently upgrading my entertainment system through Best Buy. I’m happy to say this movie completely sold me on my 4k venture. The video is stunning and the sound is richer then the Blu-ray counterpart.

I like all the character choices for the 3 newest Star Trek films. Awesome to look at and hear is well. I totally recommend this movie. Getting it for $7.99 on Black Friday made it a no brainer. 2 thumbs up!

I love Star Trek (older shows, previous film iterations). This movie was both new and classic. A clever twist at the beginning brings new possibilities to this franchise. Great action and a fantastic cast.

This was a GREAT movie!!! Directed by J.J. Abrams (The Force Awakens). Amazing special effects, great acting!! I love the steelbook packaging!

This is top tier star trek. This movie is up there with the wraith of Khan and first contact. The movie is action packed, funny and is a thriller worth watching over and over again!

I purchased the 4K edition of Star Trek 2009 to replace my existing Blu-Ray copy. What a difference! The clarity of the film was like I saw the movie at the theater.

It's a different style than the original Star Trek, but it is fun and entertaining. The cover is fairly simple for a steelbook, but still a good addition to a collection.
