    My company had been buying small desktops which don't have regular vga ports anymore. They have gone to these DisplayPort style to conserve space. The problem is a lower end monitor off the shelf won't come with that cable. So you gotta get one of these.

    Hooked up a Dell with Display Port source to monitor with DVI connection. It works. Long enough to reach where I needed to go. Had to order on-line. Not stocked in local store. Nice to use a single cable.

    I have a semi older desk top computer with dual monitor and needed this cable. No one had it in stock but Best Buy was able to order it and I had it in 2 days. So thankful!!
