I picked up a DVD player without hdmi connection to be used as a backup player. I didn’t realize it until I started to connect. Decided to go with hdmi connection and picked up this player. As a back up the price was right, small and quick set up.

Our older JVC unit lacks an HDMI plug in and wouldn't work with our more recent Samsung TV. Thought of getting an adapter but honestly this unit was less expensive. We already had an HDMI cable, which this does not come with, and it just worked without a hiccup. It also has most of the features of more expensive units without major trade offs. So far so good. We don't watch DVDs all that often but this should work well when we do.

I just wanted a basic DVD player for my tv and this is that. Works perfectly for what I need. No frills, just plays. Perfect for the price.

Easy set up, good picture and great vue which is small enough you can travel with

I purchased this DVD player for my sister who lives in a small apartment. Its small size is just right to fit on the tabletop with the 32" TV that we also bought for her. It has an HDMI output which was unique to players in that size and price point. It was the last one available on sale and I'm glad to have found it.

Performance is very good. One nuisance factor is that the HDMI setting has to be reset every time the player is turned on since it automatically defaults to 480 when the player is switched off. The remote control is very tiny and covered with a multitude of buttons which are difficult to navigate . Durability is yet to be determined but it's a bargain for the price.

It has the REPEAT option, for titles and chapters. Not all DVD players have that. Most, but not all. And it’s easy to use with all the functions. It’s quiet. It saves on space. It’s great. The dvds play beautifully. My daughter loves it for her flatscreen in her Bedroom.

It is compact, does not weigh and reproduces so sharp, I recommend it.

So, in many ways you get what you pay for with these DVD players. They're very obviously cheaply made, but they do get the job done, they do exactly what they advertise, and if you have little kids that push it off the TV stand, you won't be too upset about it. They're perfect for putting them in a little play area for kids since they work, but are not super expensive.

This super-budget DVD player works well. It's awesome that it has a full complement of outputs - HDMI, component video, composite video, and SPDIF coaxial digital audio. Using the HDMI output the sound and picture are as good as you can get from a DVD. I don't use this for watching DVDs, I use it as an audio CD player with my home audio system. The sound from the analog outputs is not very good, it sounds very muffled and muddy. I use the SPDIF output into a stand-alone DAC that I already had and it sounds fantastic that way. Another nice thing is that while playing an audio CD, the unit is physically silent.

Bought this DVD player so my toddler could watch kids' DVDs. With the HDMI connection, it gives a great picture. It is slow to start up, which is hard for the kiddos, but works just fine once going. Small, cheap...perfect for what I needed.

I bought this TV to replace an old 32 inch insignia that I got from Best Buy about 6 years ago. Anything is an upgrade over that, but so far this TV has impressed me! Out of the box, including time to wipe down the stand, I probably had it up and running including the hookup to the HD cable box within 10 minutes. So far, it’s great! Great picture, sound, everything you’ve come to expect from an LG is right here. I’m no techie but I know my way around electronics fairly well and this TV is ridiculously simple to use! Here’s hoping it lasts more than 6 years (btw the insignia is still perfect, just too small of a screen size). Only qualm is that the power cord is a bit too short but it reached the power strip I had next to the TV. Just a heads up if you don’t have a close outlet or strip.

This DVD player is small, not taking up too much space. It is easy to install. It plays the DVD very clearly, with no hesitation. Easy to pause and then continue watching as needed.

Tony and does the trick. Hardly watch many dvds but once in a while plus my Harry Potter marathons don’t have to be streamed. It’s small lift weight and does exactly what I need

This Sylvania-DVD Player with MP3 Playback, is nice and small in size and delivers a quality picture of DVD's. The remote functions make it quite easy operate, with all functions appearing to work just fine. Not only an excellent price, but a great product as well!

I bought this player as an add on for the kids to watch movies, nothing more. It was incredibly affordable and the basic functionality makes it easy to operate. My only complaint was that the remote did not include batteries which is unusual. It is easiest to use with the remote, but operation from the front panel is not bad. With the remote, tune the TV to the correct HDMI input, then power on the player using the remote, press eject, drop in a DVD, press eject to close the drawer, hit play and that's it. Simple, and again, the price was great.

In a day where everything is downloaded, some things are still available on DVDs only and that was the purpose of getting this. Small and light enough to fit anywhere. Works just fine for me.

Purchased this DVD player for my father. He didn't want anything complex, just a basic DVD player. This was perfect for him. The remote control is a little small, but it's very simple to use. He's enjoying it, and it was a good value purchase.
