    I had two back to back Friedrich models and they both each lasted about 8 months. This TCL looks nice, all white and produces very cold air immediatly. The vents are cheap plastic and only work well possitioned straight ahead. It always defalts to Eco-Mode which scares me a little. One AC I had burned out from excessive compressor cycling. The remote is unnessesarily odd, it has icons instead of labeled buttons and it's hard to remember what button does what. i.e., there are two buttons with fan icons on them. The bottom line is that it was priced right and makes COLD air. It has heat too!

    It’s a great unit, but it really doesn’t cool if your room long.
