    I only found this series a few years ago and got it on Blu-ray and I love the series had to upgrade to 4K

    Detailing is absolutely superb! The image has a nice dimensionality about it, whether deep in various old Egypt lairs or up on the bright, sun-scorched surfaces. The HDR-enhanced color palette is excellent, one of the best uses of it yet. With the increased sharpness and filmic texturing, this is easily, far-and-away, the most definitive home video presentation of The Mummy yet!

    The 4K format offers deeper colors and sharper images. The sound is crisp and clear. High action, humorous and the special effects are fantastic!

  • The Mummy is Brought Back to Life Once Again in 4K

    Being released in 1999, The Mummy, after nearly 20 years still remains as one of my favorite examples of pure popcorn entertainment. With a charismatic cast of characters, visual effects from the team at Industrial Light & Magic, and a beautiful score by Jerry Goldsmith, The Mummy still has the power to make me smile even after many repeat viewings. The new 4K audio/visual presentation is simply stunning! I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this disc at first because sometimes visual effects tend to show their age even more as a result of an upgrade however, all I have to say is fear not dear readers as the new 4K transfer only highlights the great work of the team at ILM. If you wish to reawaken the monster yet again, pick up this catalog title to watch upon your new system. While the presentation is not necessarily a "showcase" title like The Revenant may be, it still comes highly recommended from this reviewer.

    This movie still holds up really well. The CGI has definitely aged, but the film still looks amazing in 4K.
