My older parents recently moved to an 80's era house. The living room's built in shelves were designed for the TVs of that time. In an effort to improve the viewing quality with the largest screen for the space I looked at several models. This Toshiba not only maximized the space but is a significant improvement in picture quality. My father is pleased with the extra sharp picture and ease of operation.

It's a great budget 4K TV. There are some questionable things with this TV, such as there being composite video ports instead of component. Composite can only really go up to 480i, and with this TV being 2160p, it's a huge step down. If it had component ports, you could use component cables for 1080p, and still plug in composite cables. I also had an issue where I was playing my PS4 and the TV just shut off and turned back on. None of my other electronics shut off, so it wasn't a power issue in my house. It only happened once, so I'm not sure if it's a big issue. The TV also has some internal upscaling, making lower resolution pictures smoothed out, thus making it seem like it's higher resolution. I was playing Breath of the Wild which runs at 900p, and I couldn't see the pixels. All in all, it's a good TV and it does the job it needs, which is provide 4K entertainment.

This will let you view HD and UHDTV if you are hard wired to a cable company otherwise you will see a really good picture. I have this hard wired to ROKU via HDMI and the Amazon and Netflix UHD 4K and regular HD never show the picture in the clarity that I see in the store demos - still a good product - casting is good BUT the fact that you HAVE to use a phone is cumbersome and erratic - thats why I got ROKU Premiere Plus - overall good picture - fast but will not display HD or UHD like you see at the store or friends houses on other TV's - PS I know the difference between HDR and HD and UDH 4k - this is clearly JUST a good picture unless you have a cable or satellite subscription

I purchased this for my son's run and he runs it 24/7 almost. Picture us great, sound is to loud (but that's because my son cannot control the volume). Chromecast seems useless, and the remote is incredibly cheap. Great for the price for a 4k tv

Great value. Superior quality, picture sound & ease of use. Features are easily accessible and we are extremely satisfied with overall quality of this product. Clear crisp colors & the screen size and features are all above average. For the cost

Like a few others have mentioned, this TV seems to have hardcoded chroma subsampling into the driver, so it's impossible to drive the display pixel-for-pixel. Even if this is a problem with my source (MBPr via HDMI, but I did follow guides to use RGB mode), you can see these effects in the menu text and other similar things. I'm not too upset, though. My primary use for it was as a monitor, but it's still usable for that. The Chromecast functionality is great; unlike other smart TVs that require Netflix to be signed in, this TV will stream using the credentials from the phone, which is nice when sharing it with others. For the price, it's a solid entry-level 4K TV, just remember that it doesn't offer all of the 2160p-vs-1080p advantages you'd hope for.

Looks great when I connect my XBOX One t play games. I bought this TV to replace the old 32" 720P TV that was in my bedroom. I bought this one because the reviews were good and I wanted a 4k TV and a smart TV. This TV has built in chromecast. It works great but you have to control the Smart portion using an iPad, android Tablet, iPhone or Android phone. That is my only complaint about the TV. The picture quality is great and it preforms well. I just wish I didn't have to use my phone or tablet to control the Smart portion of the TV.

This television was on sale when I purchased, at a price I was thrilled to find. Very happy with this product and, looking back, should have bought a second one at the time and replaced an older unit I still over-use.

This set had everything I was looking for - 4K, under $400 and 42" screen. It's the perfect size for the bedroom I put it in and as a bonus it has great sound. There are plenty of inputs (even rca for the really old school games) and google cast is cool - but I wish it worked with Amazon prime. Picture quality is excellent.

This has to be one of the best buys in Best Buy. Excellent picture quality. Functionality is excellent. Easy to navigate. But the best part? For all this it is one of the least expensive TV's in the store.

I went into the store looking for a 4k TV and the salesperson showed me a few, then i noticed the Toshiba 43" 4k with chromecast on sale. I bought it and got it home and have been satisfied since.

This TV is perfect for my use. Does what a TV does. Haven't gotten to test out the 4K part since everything I stream is 1080p, but it looks great nonetheless. Blacks are black. Colors are vivid. Built in chrome cast is handy, but I mainly use an Apple TV so was not a huge selling feature to me.

I had originally been a diehard fan of Samsung products, but then I started noticing the stupendous about of aliasing on their displays. The SO and I went TV shopping and this was the smoothest/brightest display (mind you it was the display model we viewed) and we decided to take it home. The picture quality is suberb, and brought my PS4 games to a new era - and the sound quality has been tolerable enough for the both of us (we aren't audiophiles so can't go too into detail with that). The only con of this product is the non-separated power cord. Thankfully my pet doesn't chew cords - else I would have to do some strict cord management to protect this cable in particular. Though it will be a huge concern when I move in the next spring if it gets snagged on something - compared to most models that just use a standard PC PSU cord, or at least a detachable cord you can purchase else where. Breaking this will require some work to fix - but that's just paranoia speaking.

The Toshiba is good for the bedroom. Pros: 4k, picture, good sound from a tv, casting, sleep remote. Cons: no apps. If you have a smart blue ray player the missing apps wont be missed.

Bought this TV AND MOUNTED IT ON THE WALL FOR A BACK UP TV. THE PICTURE IS GOOD. I THOUGHT I WOULDN'T LIKE THE CHROMCAST BUT HAVE SINCE CHANGED MY MIND. OVERALL NICE TV FOR THE PRICE.

There is only 1 button on the tv. It is used for power and switching inputs, this gets confusing and is difficult to figure out. The remote must be used for almost everything, so if you lose it or your batteries die you're pretty much out of luck. There are no numbers on the remote itself so have fun svrolling through all the channels to find what you want. I wish I would have thought of checking for buttons and looking for numbers on the remote before I purchaesd the set. The picture is good though.

I already have Samsung 4k tv's and I decided to get a value 4K TV for the kid's room. The chromecast is a nice addition but overall the TV is a great value to watch sports, news, and cartoons. If you're not picky and can pick this up under $300, it's worth it.

I like that I can cast any movie or TV show on this set and the color is unbelievable! The only drawback is the remote - has no number pad to change TV channels.
