Love TP-Link stuff! Awesome that there's no hub required. Easy installation with the instructions through the app. Dimmer works great, also like that it fades the lights on & off.

Nice to be able to have the option of operating a light from a switch or remotely from an app. When installing the switch just know that you need a ground wire in the electrical box. Also, the 2 wires you attach to the switch need to be on the proper terminal. With a normal on off light switch it doesn't matter which wire is attached to which terminal. This switch requires the load wire (where the power comes in) must go to the load terminal. Then the the other wire carries the power to the light when switched on. This is because the switch itself needs some power to operate. App set up is fairly straight forward. Just follow the step by step setup.

Easy, Inexpensive Way to Enhance Your Home

Simple to install. Uses Kasa app which is great. Needs a (misleadingly named) neutral wire to provide continuous power; most modern homes are wired with a neutral wire available. Always turn the circuit off before installing. Use app to set up timers, dimming, as well as normal on/off function. One nice feature is you link on or off to actual sunrise and sunset for your area; you can even start x minutes before or after. If you're a beginner you can start with plugs (HS100 series), get used to using the app to manage lights, then upgrade your activities to switches.

This was easy to install and works great. Added to a couple of other Kasa switches and plugs - this was first dimmer. Works good with Alexa and schedule to be on in morning and evening.

This switch is very easy to install and has an app that can walk you through it. It looks very nice, too. But beware: the back part is very large so it may not fit everywhere.

Great, affordable smart light switch. No need for a hub. Body is a bit larger and might be a tight fit in older electrical boxes. Also, switch requires a neutral wire. Works perfectly with Amazon Alexa.

    Kasa Smart Devices Are Great

This Kasa smart dimmer switch is wonderful and extremely versatile. Using the Kasa app, we are able to easily turn on/off and control the brightness of our ceiling lights. So far, all of our Kasa smart devices (smart switches, smart plugs, and smart bulbs) have been great. The app is very well done, intuitive, and easy to use. Lights can be programmed to turn on/off at any desired schedule, including times based on sunset and sunrise, which is a great idea. Highly recommend.

Put this on a dimmable 5000 lumen light. Have it on 20% currently in the Kasa app. Using the smart feature in Kasa to turn this light off and on when another light is tuned off and on. Both light switches are on Kasa and in a stairway. Like the coordinated feature to light the stairway. Light switch itself can be used to turn full on or off or set dimmed. Works with Google home and Alexa just fine. Just be sure to buy it with a light that can be dimmed, not all LED Lights are dimmable.

I am impressed with the function and cost at about 1/2 the price of other models! I am not an electrician and was vey easily able to swap out my old dimmer for this new and improved wi-fi model. I matched the switch wire colors to the wires in my house, e.g., white-white; green-copper; etc. No hub is needed and the app is very easy to use. You can turn your lights on/off, dim, and schedule lights using the app. I suggest that you use compatible dimmable lightbulbs and have a good wi-fi signal near the switch.

Bought to control a track light in my living room. Easy to install as long as you have a neutral wile in the box. Have it linked with Alexa so I can control with voice commands. I have it in a 2 gang box with a kasa non dimming switch for porch lights. You will need another cover plate if mounting next to other switches. Cover that comes with it is nice but only for one switch. Nice features include adjustable fade times so lights will fade on or off nice and slow. Will buy more for other lights in the house.
