Got this camera to go with my doorbell cameras that work flawlessly. It worked great in the fall, but as soon as temps dropped below 32F that’s when the problems started. Solar panel won’t charge the battery and the battery won’t charge until it gets up to temp inside. With the 24 hour recording battery drops like a rock, and have to constantly reset the camera. I wouldn’t recommend this if you live in a colder state.

Thank you for your review. In cooler weather with less heat and sunshine, we recommend adjusting the 24/7 Capture feature settings to accommodate the anticipated decrease in solar charging activity. Within the Tapo app, you can conveniently configure various parameters for 24/7 Capture that can help reduce battery drain.

Dose not stay connected!

Does not stay connected! App forgets camera and you have to start over and then it tells you your Wi-Fi password is wrong. reset after reset. Not worth it! No Tapo cameras for me. Just through $80 out the window!
