Light In Weight, Heavy in Features

The TB Burst II Pro is a surprisingly light but full-featured mouse that blends the new trend of ultra lightweight mice with the customization and features you would expect from a heavier mouse in this price range.
Right away you'll notice that this is an Ultra Lightweight mouse that has become popular again with e-sports and competitive shooters. I wasn't always a fan of these mice because I felt they were a little too responsive and jittery, but this is less of an issue now with these higher-end sensors and some of the smoothing techniques on the sensors. The biggest difference with Ultra Lightweight nice is you immediately notice how much easier and less fatiguing it is to move the mouse around. It may not seem like a big deal, but after even 5 minutes much less 5 hours of gaming, you notice the difference.
Here are some of the stand out features and observations after using this mouse for a few days.
- The mouse is light at 37g, which isn't the lightest but still lets you sling it out around quickly while retaining a lot of high-end features you expect from your full featured mice. The body has a matte feel and tapping the body you can tell it is mostly hollow. Even the bottom has two large cutouts in the body, I thought that might be for weights like some older mice used to include but I didn't see anything about that with this mouse and no weights were included.
- It comes with larger teflon feet along with just dots of teflon and some other slick material that you can replace standard teflon pads. It also comes with some side and button rubber textured decals if you don't like the standard matte finish. These do add a little weight so if you want the lightest mouse possible you may want to leave them off.
- It still has Bluetooth connectivity, which is sacrificed in a lot of these ultra lights, and it also comes with a nice mounting adapter for the USB-A RF dongle with a braided USB-C cable that can then connect into the mounting adapter or into the mouse for charging. Bluetooth is great if you just want to swap between a desktop and laptop using BT. Battery life is solid as well with 40 hours in 8K polling mode and 150 hours in 1K polling mode.
- The mouse still has a DPI switching button, a competitor mouse relies on a series of key presses which is just not going to work well if you try to make in-game adjustments. The DPI button is far enough forward that it isn't a great spot but you can still swap quickly. The LED on top corresponds to a different color that you can set and customize. This is the only LED on the entire mouse which keeps its weight down and battery life up.
- Usually I don't bother with the software, but in order to really maximize the use of this mouse you need to use Swarm II, which I was pleasantly surprised with in how sleek it was and also how much customization it opened up on the Burst II Pro. I'm not going to go into all the details, but you will want to check out some of the following features to really make the most of this mouse like: debounce time, angle snapping, motion sync and angle tune. This really lets you customize your mouse click behavior, movement accuracy and even mouse movement behavior with Angle snap and tune. Angle tune is probably the most powerful feature, as it basically flattens out your horizontal mousing by how much you set the angle, so instead of mousing horizontally, your mouse registers a flat scroll, allowing you to stay more on-plane when gaming. As mentioned, you also need to use the software to calibrate features like polling rate, lift-off distance and DPI presets.
I will say that the actual buttons of the mouse are not the best I've ever felt. They don't have as much travel and clicky response feeling as some other mice and feel a bit muted and hollow for my taste, but many may prefer this for fast key pressing. The flat uniform profile is also nice for claw grippers but also mouse flippers as the back rises up to your palm.
The box says there's 8 buttons, but there's really only 6, they count the scroll up and down as 2 buttons which I think is kind of a joke.
Still, this is a very full featured mouse with a ton of cool gaming features that I'm enjoying in BF6. I've applied the rubber decals which help keep the mouse dry and comfortable during long gaming sessions.
I would recommend this to a friend

Ultra-Lightweight but needs the Grip Tape

I wanted a lightweight mouse for gaming on the go, I preferred something that would work without software on wireless or Bluetooth. That’s when I came across the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro High-Performance Ultra-Lightweight Wireless Optical Esports Gaming Mouse! I didn’t even know Turtle Beach made Mouses and Keyboards until now!
Pros:
- Ultra-Light Weight at just 57 grams.
- High Sensitivity at a max of 30K DPI.
- Swarm II is a major upgrade over prior Apps.
Cons:
- Plastic Material feels too smooth and cheap.
- Default DPI settings are very slow.
Out of the Box:
On picking up the box, I had to wonder if there was anything even in the box because of how light it was. The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro is just that light, the mouse is only 57 grams, even with the included Grip Tape the mouse weights under 60 grams! This is by far one of the lightest mouses I’ve ever used.
Included with the mouse is a wireless dongle, USB-C to USB-A adapter, braided USB-C to USB-A charging cable, Grip Tape, and additional PTFE skates for the bottom of the mouse. I was happy to see the Grip Tape included as the surface of the mouse is very smooth, to the point that my fingers had a hard time finding a good grip on the buttons.
Software:
I was happy to find that the Swarm II app had a much more modern and well thought out design compared to prior Turtle Beach apps, a huge improvement. Swarm II provides an easy way to update and adjust the settings of the Burst II Pro, that is easy to navigate.
The DPI settings are right at the top of the mouse settings, which shows good understand of what most people will want to change first when coming into the mouse settings. You can set 5 pre-set DPI levels, that can be cycled through with the little button on the Left Front side of the mouse. You can easily adjust the colors of the different levels as well.
Lower on the page there are options to adjust the Polling Rate from 1K, 2K, 4K, and 8K Hz which impacts how often the mouse communicates its motion to the PC. For less competitive or slower paced games games, the 1K setting is plenty as most mice sit around 500-800Hz. But the higher polling rates do make a big difference for anyone playing faster pace games. Additionally, there are Battery information and notification settings for power, Life-Off Distance settings, Angle Tune, Debounce Time, Angle Snapping, Motion Sync, and Standby Mode. Luckily, Turtle Beach included explanations for each setting in the app, which made deciding what to adjust and what to leave easy.
Below all those settings is the Button Remapping and Alternative Function section, which Turtle Beach calls Easy Shift. Basically, this allows you to remap or even create an alternative function on each of the mouse buttons when an “Easy Shift” key is held down. Basically, it is a function key or Macro. Though this is probably one of the easiest Macro assignments features I’ve seen. Just click the button visually from the diagram of the mouse, then on the Right-Side Panel select the Function you’d like it to do. Some are simple remapping, while others trigger whole programs or even custom files. I’ve played around a bit with setting an easy shift button on the keyboard, so when pressed with combination of a click I can quick open specific applications.
Build & Feel:
The mouse is ultra-light weight, as the name implies but it takes picking up the mouse in hand to understand just how light weight. Weighting just 57 grams without the grip tap, the mouse is one of the lightest I’ve ever used. The grip is a claw grip, which is one of my preferred grip types as my hand naturally fits it. I found it to be very comfortable even after long periods of use.
The material used for the mouse shell is a matte smooth plastic, with little to no texture on the mouse. Unfortunately, this does two things I don’t like about the mouse. First off, it makes the mouse feel very cheap, like a hallow plastic toy. I do not like that, as there is no weight behind the mouse. Second, the surface of the plastic is extremely smooth, to the point that I lose grip without the grip tape. The grip tape resolved the smoothness issue, but I would have loved to have some addable weights for the mouse to be able to adjust to the perfect weight. The mouse is very solid otherwise, there is no unintended flexing or give while using it. It’s just a bit off putting the weight with the texture without the grip tape.
On the bottom of the mouse is multiple PTFE skates to help it glide across the surface. Additionally, included in the box are additional skates and dots, that can be added to give the perfect balance and contact points for smooth use.
Performance:
I’m very impressed by the performance of the Burst II Pro, I was able to use it on most surfaces without any issues and all features worked as expected. I had a great time with the mouse, both playing games and just general computing. The mouse also slides across most surfaces without any issue thanks to the skates.
Even on default settings, I had no issues with the mouse. But I had to crank up the DPI settings as the default only goes up to 12K DPI, which on a 30K DPI maximum mouse I find an underwhelming choice for default settings. After adjusting the settings to fit my play style, this mouse ends up being one of my favorite ones to play games on. The Angle Snapping really made a difference when paired with Angle Tune to ensure smoother movements even when you physically cannot move the mouse is a perfectly straight line.
Conclusion:
If you want an ultra-lightweight mouse that has all the extra features, the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro is a solid consideration. The mouse weights in at 57 grams, 58 grams with the Grip Tape on, which you will want. The Swarm II app has everything you need front and center, making customizing your mouse as easy as clicking a slide bar or switch. I might just be replacing my old go to mouse on my desktop with this!

I became an instant fan of the Turtle Beach Burst lineup when I picked up the original Burst Air II. That little mouse has been my go to travel companion for both gaming and productivity, thanks to its ultra-light build and reliable performance. So, when I got my hands on the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro, expectations were high, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. Like its predecessor, the Pro keeps the lightweight DNA alive, coming in at just 57 grams compared to the Air II’s featherlight 47 grams. The slight increase in weight makes sense though since it’s packing extra sensors, refined internals, and a battery capable of up to 150 hours via Bluetooth, which is an impressive upgrade for anyone who hates constant recharging.
Since I already loved my Burst Air II for travel, I knew right away the Burst II Pro was destined for a permanent home at my gaming desktop setup. The ergonomics are spot-on, offering a natural grip that fits perfectly in hand without fatigue. During long gaming sessions or extended editing and browsing, it remains incredibly comfortable and effortless to maneuver. The lightweight shell gives you the freedom to flick, aim, and scroll with precision and ease, perfect for FPS gaming or detailed editing.
Turtle Beach also stayed true to their identity with the inclusion of customizable skates and grip tape. From my previous experience I immediately applied the grip tape, and it completely changed the feel. It’s subtle but adds a premium, textured comfort that enhances control. Out of the box, you get four corner skates already installed, but you can swap them for full skate pads or experiment with the included 8-dot PTFE or 8-dot UHMW-PE pads depending on your surface type. That kind of flexibility gives the Burst II Pro an edge for gamers who like to fine tune their setup.
One design choice I really appreciate is the lack of RGB lighting. A lot of mice these days go overboard with light shows, but this one sticks to a clean, performance first look. The subtle chrome strip dividing the palm rest from the buttons gives it just enough flair to look high-end without feeling flashy. It’s sleek, minimal, and professional, a design that fits seamlessly into both a gaming or office environment.
This mouse performs phenomenally in its tracking precision and responsiveness. With NVIDIA Reflex and the Swarm 2 software, you can fine tune performance and sensitivity down to the smallest detail. The Titan optical switches are crisp and tactile, giving you instant feedback with no mushiness. Turtle Beach claims 8K performance for ultra-low latency, and while I can’t personally feel every nanosecond of that speed, I can tell you the response is instantaneous. Whether I’m gaming in FPS or editing photos on my desktop, the Burst II Pro feels laser accurate and buttery smooth.
One small note, the mouse is advertised as having 8 programmable buttons, but in reality, there are 6 physical buttons. I’m assuming the count includes the scroll wheel click and its programmable functions. It’s not misleading per se, but worth knowing if you were expecting a bunch of side buttons like some MMO mice. That said, every button is well placed and tactile, giving that satisfying click you want from a gaming grade switch without excessive resistance.
All in all, the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro feels like a worthy evolution of an already stellar design. It’s lightweight yet solid, minimalist but packed with customization options, and powerful without being pretentious. The performance is top-tier, the comfort is excellent, and the attention to detail shows Turtle Beach’s commitment to refining what already worked so well. For me, this mouse hits the sweet spot. It’s everything I loved about the Burst Air II, just elevated in every way. It’s now one of my top-performing mice for both gaming and productivity, and I can easily recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance, no-nonsense mouse that doesn’t compromise on comfort or precision.

A Real Upgrade

I've never been a fan of touch pads. They've certainly improved, but they don't provide the same flexibility as a mouse. and for gaming purposes they just don't have the same feature set. I have to admit that all too often I find myself grabbing my travel mouse, which is too small for my hand size and it does not have the resolution of a decent full size mouse. In addition this mouse has a set of driverless setup controls. I've been using a Turtle Beach Pure Air since last June. This Burst II Pro (B2P) is a step up, with better battery life and faster polling. The B2P weighs 3g more than the Pure Air. The B2P weighs 57g without the rubber pads, 60g with. Its battery life varies based on polling speed; 40 hours at 8kHz polling, 150 hours at 1kHz polling, and up to 165 hours in Bluetooth mode. The braided USB cable (PhantomFlex 8K) is about 6' long, with a USB C connector on the mouse end and a USB A on the computer/charger end. No charger is supplied and the USB connection is USB 2.0 (no big deal), but it now supports 8K polling. In actual use it is very comfortable and highly accurate. There are 5 default profiles, and 5 user definable profiles (can be defined by app). Before use you should remove the blue protective plastic off the mouse's feet and center ring. The mouse includes replacement pads for the 4 feet and center ring (nice bonus). The USB charging cable can also be used to hardwire the mouse via USB to your computer. So if you're looking for a hardwired mouse this fits the bill.
The Swarm II app allows changing the poll rate to: 1kmHz, 2kmHz, 4kmHz and 8kmHz. and changing the DPI from 400DPI to 3200DPI or 30,000DPI (wired only). You can set the mouse lift off distance to either 0.7mm, 1mm or 2mm (or custom). and change the button debounce rate from 0ms to 10ms. Using the button on the lower left side of the mouse you can change the DPI to use any of the profile settings (5). This is much more flexible than the Pure Air options. There is also an active angle tuning interface (+/- 30 degrees), with its own calibration tool, it shows you if your hand drags the mouse evenly (up/down) across the screen. I used it with the Turtle Beach RF dongle and Bluetooth (both were very simple to set up). I found it hard to tell the difference (which is good) as I usually feel a touch more lag with BT. But not in this case. The wired interface with the faster polling rate (8kHz) definitely has a more immediate feel, especially when coupled to your desired mouse lift setting. The flexibility of all the settings provides a truly custom feel. In addition the side buttons and scroll wheel buttons can be programmed to provide different functions based on how each profile is programmed. So the mouse wheel can be used to scroll the browser display, and the side buttons can be used to page up/down in a browser (or user/app programmable).
The mouse has a nice flat finish, leaving no fingerprints. But in the box they include rubberized "stickers" that you can apply to the mouse buttons and both sides of the mouse. This adds a tactile feel to the mouse sides/buttons (and 3 grams). I really like the feel on the sides of the mouse, it just fits my hand better without sliding. I'm so accustomed to having smooth mouse buttons, using them on the right/left buttons was a tougher choice, but it's up to you if/where you use them (I like that they made this optional).
If you are looking for a lightweight, full size, responsive mouse this is a most excellent choice.
It is an improvement over my Pure Air, I'm happy with my upgrade.

Included with the mouse are a variety of modifications to customize the feel and use of the mouse. It has different feet to adjust the glide of the mouse, textured grips to provide better performance with playing games, usb-c to usb-a adapter and a usb-a to usb-c cable that can either be used for wired mouse mode while charging the mouse or to extend the reach of the usb-a wireless receiver. To extend the reach of the usb-a receiver, you use the included usb-c to usb-a adapter and the cable. The adapter does not seem to work with my own usb-c to usb-c cable though.
Wireless use of the mouse is either via the usb receiver or bluetooth.
The mouse is impressively lightweight, only 57 grams, which makes it good for fast mouse movements in game. Personally, I find it a bit too light for my liking. Underneath the mouse are two cavities that appear to be designed for optional weights, but none are included.
Despite using an optical sensor with a red light, the mouse performs well even on glass surfaces. Battery life is excellent and lasts remarkably long between charges.
After installing the Swarm II app, it immediately prompted me to update the mouse. Updating the mouse requires both the mouse and the wireless transmitter to be connected to the computer simultaneously. This means you’ll need two available USB-A ports, one for the mouse and one for the receiver. Unfortunately, the software won’t allow configuration of the mouse until the update process is completed.
The mouse supports DPI settings ranging from 50 up to 30,000, which is exceptionally fast. However, the DPI switch button located on the left side near the front is positioned too far forward for my thumb. I had to lift my palm and shift my hand to reach it.
The scroll wheel is in ratchet mode and has defined ticks to make it easier to change weapons or items in your game. There is no free spin mode. The wheel is quite slippery, making my finger slide off, forcing me to apply extra pressure when scrolling. To make it more manageable, I ended up disabling the middle-click function entirely.
Otherwise, the mouse performs exceptionally well. It’s highly responsive, and the glide feet are very smooth, allowing it to move effortlessly across my desk.
The buttons feel solid and premium, each press is crisp, precise, and reliably registered. I feel confident with every mouse click. The tactile feedback is satisfying, though I personally prefer a lower-pitched click sound.

The Turtle Beach - Burst II Pro High-Performance Ultra-Light is an all-around, excellent performer & big step-up from my previous Roccat Burst.
Front end disclaimer: This Ultra-Light is super light, and my review is geared towards those wanting what it offers. There are no weights to be added and anyone looking for something more mid-line weight distributed or "light" of center - should absolutely look elsewhere. This thing is a feather... no question about it & no BS!
Upon unboxing the Turtle Beach - Burst II Pro, I was struck by the amount of customization offered by TB. There are two different sets of "dot" skates and a 2nd set of more traditional & actually, larger surfaced area skates - in the box. Seems to me that TB did some serious market research in what people have asked for and TB is giving choices right in the box~!
Even more exciting was the inclusion of textured grip appliques, which I find more than just satisfying to the touch. They completely transform this mouse. At first, I was like "What? Grip stickers?" And certainly, time will tell how well these hold up to peeling & looking worn. But at this early juncture - I'm sold! These grips elevate both the feel & performance of the mouse. Fingers crossed that they show serious gamer reliability & longevity.
In terms of setting up/configuring the Burst II Pro, I'm happy to report that TB completely revamped the look, layout & "feel" of the Swarm control software. Compared to the Swarm I - this utility hits all the right notes, gives the user everything they would need and esthetically - it's really, really good. From total performance controls; to checking the battery status; to updating both the xmitter & mouse firmware - everything is here and scaled perfectly ... vs. what Swarm I does (on an eye chart). Really happy this attention to detail was engineered into this critical piece of software. Seriously!
I've not tried all the various skate options because I find the default ones to be excellent; nor have I verified the TB claims of 150 hours of battery life while using 1kHz polling... But what I can say is that I've gotten a lot of use out of the mouse for regular day-to-day productivity & work, some gaming and the battery level only dropped around 40%. This is letting the mouse sleep alongside my laptop, without actually sliding the Off switch. I suspect a lot of or mostly gaming with this mouse will fall quite short of anything TB publishes in the specs and they do state that running polling @ 8k will cut the battery life down to 40 hours -- so do the math. That said, it charges fast and I'm not concerned about it as long as any wireless mouse gets me through a full day of gaming & life.
In summary, this is truly a High-Performance Ultra-Light and rivals the feel & performance of my honeycombed, Steel Series jobber -- but performs much better and has leaps-and-bounds better software.
Give it a try!
Pros:
Truly Ultra-Light
Excellent build quality
Equally excellent software
Solid battery life
Handles gaming & productivity very well
Customizable skates & texture skins, to one's particular preference(s)
What more could someone possibly want in a Performance Ultra-Light?
Cons:
Not truly a con but I found the default, smooth surfaces of the entire mouse to be just that - too smooth. The textured appliques are absolutely life changing!

Turtle Beach Burst II Pro is one of those gaming mice that immediately feels like it's built for combat. It's crazy light, which makes it super easy to flick and move. I thought this was a great feature, but after some use, I realized the ultralight nature can make it feel a bit too floaty—like I was fighting to keep control instead of smoothly guiding it, especially during precise aiming moments. I honestly like some heft to my mouse.
The construction fairly premium, with a matte finish that grips okay, even in sweaty gaming. The buttons have a click that feels responsive. The sensor is crazy instant and smooth on just about any anything I tried. I use a glass etched trackpad.
Battery life impressed me too. It’s so light, that I didn’t think it had a battery at all. Connectivity is rock solid with low latency, so I didn’t have any worries about lag.
The design plays heavily in favor of right-handed users. The mouse is symmetrical in shape, which sounds ambidextrous, but the side buttons are only on the left side, making it inconvenient or unusable for lefties who want extra buttons on their thumb side. So left-handed gamers might want to look elsewhere unless they don’t care.
Overall, if you’re a gamer who loves feather-light mice and needs precision, this mouse is a good pick, just not for a lefty.

The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro Wireless is a continuation of the popular Burst Pro shape - this version is pretty much the best you can get in terms of specifications.
This version is also very similar to the previous and lighter Air which I also reviewed, but here is what is different:
Up to 8000Hz Polling rate
New sensor (up to 30K DPI)
Slightly heavier at 57g
That’s pretty much it. Nothing exciting, but the mouse does feel a lot more solid overall compared to the Air. Seems like Turtle Beach was able to reinforce a lot of the weak points with the additional weight.
The Burst II Pro is best suited for claw-grip users with medium hands and this has been a shape that I find works very well for a lot of people and is very safe. At 57g it's still plenty light and the performance is outstanding! I only ran it at 2000Hz since I don’t see a point in going any higher and it was a very easy setup. Turtle Beach software is also vastly improved and easy to understand, BUT since many are moving to web software I would have liked to seen that instead or in the future as it’s even more convenient.
The main switches in this mouse are still TITAN Opticals and while they are implemented quite well they are far from the best. They require a medium amount of force to activate and again are on the medium side when it comes to spamming. These switches have been used for a long time and it's honestly time for something new. Side buttons are positioned well and have a low amount of pre-travel, but a great amount of post. The scroll wheel is great with well defined steps, but again has this weird coating/texture that doesn’t feel pleasant.
The default skates have a 4 corner setup but they can be replaced with either full size skates and Turtle Beach even included dot skates. Nice. You should be set in this regard! They glide well but might drag on rougher pads.
Battery life is rated for 150 hours at 1000Hz which is pretty good, and 40 if you max it out at 8000Hz. All good numbers.
Conclusion: The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro wireless is a great but unexciting mouse. It’s worth a try but I think past users of this shape will appreciate it the most. Would have given it 5 stars but the lack of updates to the main buttons drops it a 4 for me.

This is the first sub-60 gram gaming mouse I’ve actually KEPT. I’ve used an ultra-lightweight that clocked in at just around 48 grams…but it was SO lightweight it felt like I was always “mousing out of control” with little to no stability under my hand. The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro comes in at roughly 57 grams and provides, at least, to my larger hands (I wear an XL/2XL glove), what feels like the perfect balance of reassuring solidity, accurate mouse control, while still providing that otherworldly sense of a barely-there, super-low-effort, super-fast-flick mouse. If you are serious about your gaming experience and want to shave every possible nano-second off your mousing reaction time, the Burst II Pro is a fantastic, if understated, esports-grade mouse that should be near the top of your “to-buy” list.
Physically, the Burst II Pro trades in virtually all flash for the sake of weight reduction. There is no flashy RGB, and all branding is printed in barely contrasting grey over the shell’s matte black finish. The plastic surface texture is slightly grippy rather than glassy smooth; this contributes to the mouse’s superior feeling of control and stability despite its lightweight build. The click/scroll wheel is deeply knurled but is not surrounded by a silicone or rubberized bumper. Wheel action/scrolling is reassuringly solid…you can easily feel each individual detent and click of the scroll wheel. Note that the click-wheel is not free-spinning. There is a single LED indicator between the left and right mouse buttons, but it hardly ever indicates anything—don’t count on bright or flashy RGB to help you find it in the dark. The LED will pulse red, orange and green while charging, and it will show solid green when fully charged. The mouse’s corresponding battery level appears for only for 2 seconds during power-up or waking from sleep.
A single silver strip runs across the bottom of the left and right mouse buttons and provides for a clean and very professional look—this mouse would be JUST at home in an office as it would at your battlestation. There are only two primary buttons outside of the left click, right click, and wheel-click, so if you’re looking for a mouse to carry a litany of shortcuts and macro buttons, you should look elsewhere. The mouse is ambidextrous, but the two side buttons are positioned solely for right-handed use…an option to switch the buttons to the other side would be helpful to the lefties in the room (though I imagine the extra circuitry and mounting points would also add to the overall weight). Helpfully, the DPI cycle switch is WAY up front and easily out of reach of all but the most spindly and extended of thumbs; I cannot imagine anyone accidentally tapping it and changing optical resolution mid-play.
The front USB-C port is deeply recessed providing ample cable strain relief when used in wired mode, though you might have to be careful about picking replacement cables as the opening is rounded and may not accommodate just any USB-C cable lying around. The included cable is covered in a woven fabric for what Turtle Beach calls “PlugPhantom flex”…whatever. It’s a very flexible cable that exhibits just a HINT of memory, but it will certainly move your mouse if you are bending or pushing the cable around. The capable 8K receiver is a little modular number that includes a small USB-A dongle, and a larger USB-C female to USB-A female coupler (helpfully backed with adhesive if you want to secure it somewhere nearby without having loose cable flopping away). This gives you the option of using the same cable to operate the mouse in wired mode and then connect it to the coupler to keep the dongle in close range, even if your PC is tucked away behind a desk. The package is rounded out with three different sets of feet/glide replacements: 2 large PTFE (less friction) glides, 8 PTFE skate dots, and 8 UHMW-PE (more durable) dots, and some pre-cut grip tape. If you have something like OCD-level customization needs, I think Turtle Beach has you covered!
This is a modestly/medium-sized mouse; under my larger meat hooks, and given that I use a palm grip, nearly half of my palm rests fully off the rear of the mouse. However, this actually allowed me to make faster impulse movements because there was simply less plastic shell in contact with my hand and fingers. The top hump is fairly shallow so it should work very well for claw-grip gamers as well. The bottom of the shell features two HUGE cutouts for weight reduction, PTFE glides, power/BT/wireless switch, another cutout for the wireless dongle when you need to take the mouse on the road, and the eye for the beefy 30K DPI Owl optical sensor. Overall, I found the Burst II Pro to be *exceptionally* comfortable, and its ultra-lightweight design definitely helped reduce strain and fatigue from repetitive use during my workdays. The battery capacity, especially at saner DPI and polling rate settings, was phenomenal—a 9-hour workday only drained about 9-10%; I have not had to recharge in more than a week of steady work and gaming.
In use, this is not a quiet mouse. The switches are not intrusively loud, but they are clearly audible. The 30K optical sensor offers probably more precision than you’ll need unless you’re a professional or serious esports gamer, but the performance I experienced at 6K DPI was simply superb. There are 5 different DPI levels you can store in each of 5 separate profiles you can save on the mouse itself. Each DPI setting can be programmed with a different color that, like the battery indicator, only lights up the central LED for 2 seconds. You have to remember which color corresponds to which DPI setting, but it IS at least a visual indicator for cycling through the various DPI settings available in the current profile.
The 8K polling rate receiver (8K is currently the highest polling rate available on the market) offers ultra-low 0.125ms latency, but the benefits of running a polling rate this high will be most noticeable if you also have a high refresh rate monitor. I am not a competitive gamer, so I’ve never needed to run a mouse much higher than 6K DPI at a 1-2K polling rate. Altogether, the “mousing experience,” even at my somewhat more modest settings, was just sublime—instant action, crazy-accurate movements; I don’t know that I’ll ever bother going much higher, but the overhead that is left on the table here is insane! Until 16K polling is a thing, the Burst II Pro is the fastest wireless mouse you can get right now. Is 30K DPI going to be enough? I believe the highest DPI sensor is currently about 45K--I can’t imagine what in the world you would be playing that would require THAT much mouse resolution, but I suppose as 8K and higher gaming on large format or ultra-super-maxi-high-definition monitors goes mainstream, this mouse will grow into the need it’s currently a little ahead of the curve to fulfill.
Finally, using Turtle Beach’s Swarm II client opens even more options and settings for those of you who need micrometer-level customization. The client provides for firmware updates (both my mouse and dongle needed an update straight out of the box), driver checks, battery status settings, standby delay, and of course polling rate and DPI settings. Advanced settings included mouse button macro and function assignments, sliders and adjustments for debounce time (click detection speed vs. reducing false-positive clicks), angle snapping (artificial mouse path smoothing and straightening), and lift-off distance (to help correct tracking errors). But there were two settings I was not familiar with. One was “Motion Sync”—supposedly it enhances responsiveness by exactly syncing the sensor’s signal delivery to match the receiver’s polling rate. I personally didn’t notice any appreciable difference with this feature on or off, but I’m certain someone out there is sensitive enough to discern an effect one way or another.
The other feature sounded intriguing: “Angle Tune”—a means of improving the precision of perfectly horizontal movements by compensating for a person’s natural tendency to make slightly angled mouse swipes (due to contrast between precise horizontal motion and the radial motion of the arm at the elbow). The calibration routine had me track horizontally between alternating targets on the outer edges of the screen; it was harder than I expected on my ultrawide monitor. Unfortunately, my recommended setting ended up being an offset of 0 degrees, so I can’t attest to the effectiveness of this particular feature. However, I imagine there’s a market for it out there somewhere.
Despite the features and functionality in the Swarm II client, technical performance of the client itself was spotty. Swarm II was constantly reporting disconnects with the mouse when used in wireless mode (and no, it wasn’t due to the absurdly short default standby time because that was one of the first things I changed). These disconnects usually occurred right before I was about to adjust another option or setting. I tried the old uninstall/reinstall trick and used 3 different computers—all yielded the same frustrating results. On my main PC, I typically had to double-click the program’s shortcut two to three times before it finally remained open on my desktop. This breakdown in the user experience of the client was most unfortunate because it diminished what was otherwise an incredibly compelling and comfortable experience using the mouse itself. But once I had the settings dialed in to what I wanted and saved down to one of the profile slots on the mouse, I didn’t need to open the client anymore—so I figured a little short-lived inconvenience was a reasonable tradeoff for such a fantastic-feeling/performing ultra-lightweight mouse. Definitely recommended even with these few hiccups in the companion app.

A True Pro Gaming Mouse

THIS… Is the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro, a lightweight medium form factor mouse packed with features and Turtle Beaches new Owl-Eye sensor. With 8k polling, 150 hour battery life while only weighing 57 grams… lets take a look at what Turtle Beach has cooked up!
Out of the box, this mouse is sleek! Turtle Beach has a history of making things over the top and at times plain gamer gaudy… but they have really executed well on not only the form factor but the sleek black aesthetic. Speaking of form factor, this mouse is your typical medium size gaming mouse similar to what you would expect from a lightweight high end mouse. I use a claw grip and have had zero issues with comfort, wrist strain or performance. The layout follows your typical two button design that default to DPI shifts and a scroll wheel that is unadjustable. One of my favorite features is the physical switch on the bottom that slides between off, 2.4hgz mode and bluetooth - allowing me to easily turn this mouse on and off when I am done to preserve battery life.
The mouse supports 8k Polling using their sleek dongle, which I actually… really like. It is small enough to hide and blend in while also having a pad on the bottom to prevent it from slipping away. It doesn’t seem to need to be too close to the mouse either to efficiently support 8k play, with my dongle being well over 12” away from my mouse when gaming with no noticeable issues. This mouse also supports Nvidia reflex which is software to reduce input lag, though I didn’t notice much of a difference… undoubtedly a skill issue on my end as I am slowing down on my ability with my age. The mouse comes with several options to custom tailor this mouse to your setup: PTFE skates, 8 dot domes for glass mouse pads and grip tape to enhance your feel while complimenting your aesthetic. I love the grip tape included as well, I truly feel like it enhances the feel without adding weight or causing your hand to sweat.
Turtle Beach does require actual software to adjust the settings of this mouse, and while I really prefer a browser based system, the Swarm II software is really well done and can incorporate all of your Turtle Beach Products. Swarm 2 allows you to adjust what you would expect (dpi, polling rate and button mapping), while also including some nice touches such as being able to adjust your lift off distance, angle tune/snapping and a few other features. If you are going to force me to download software, then it should be GOOD software. This is truly GOOD software from someone who hates extra bloat.
Overall, I think that on sale or even MSRP, this mouse is actually really well done. It has all the features that you would want from a high end gaming mouse without sacrificing on weight or size. I am always a bit skeptical when it comes to turtle beach products as they can be hit or miss, but I am really excited with just how well done the Burst II Pro has been executed. Yes it isn’t necessarily the lightest weight, but it makes up for that in a comfortable form factor and a redeeming feature profile. That being said, at 57 grams is still competitively light, and weight was never a factor or detractor when I was gaming, studying or any other endeavor. Until next time :)

The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro High-Performance Ultra-Lightweight Wireless Optical Esports Gaming Mouse is a fantastic addition for me. I am not an elite gamer - but I do enjoy doing it! This mouse is amazingly lightweight at 57 grams. Sometimes I feel like it's too light, but with use, I am learning to control it much better. It is also smaller than others I have used - and I love the size. I do have smaller hands, and this fits me quite well. This has a 30K sensor which is very accurate. I know I shouldn't, but sometimes I find myself using the arm of my leather sofa for my mouse pad and with this mouse, it works quite well! Turtle Beach claims 99.8% resolution accuracy on all surfaces - and I can vouch for the arm of a leather sofa.: )
Getting this setup was relatively quick and easy. You are able to choose whether you would like to connect via bluetooth, the dongle or via the transmitter. I have connected to all of them to decide which is best for me, but personally, I saw no difference, so I'm sticking to the transmitter - which also allows me to access the settings in the Turtle Beach Swarm 2 software app. For more detailed information on the mouse, be sure to access the QR code included in the Quick Start guide provided with the mouse. After connecting, you are good to game.
To fine tune the mouse settings, be sure to download and install the Turtle Beach Swarm 2 software app to access a myriad of settings including DPI (up to 30K) LOD, polling rate (up to 8000Hz), change button assignments and many others. I have to admit when I first opened the app, I thought it was very limited and basically only gave me the option to update the transmitter and app drivers. Soon enough I realized I just needed to click on the area of the screen displaying my mouse and a slew of new options popped up. You are able to change settings either via the app or manually on the mouse by accessing the configuration mode. There is also a conveniently located DPI change button on the mouse itself to make changes on the fly.
This mouse does not feel flimsy to me at all even with its lightweight body. I have not had my normal issue of accidentally double clicking and that is important. This feels like it will last a good amount of time. They have provided a great battery - fully charged, Turtle Beach claims you will get up to 150 hours at 1K polling or up to 40 hours at 8K or 165 hours if using bluetooth. That is impressive. They have also provided some useful things with this including 3 sets of skates - 1 full size and 2 sets of dot skates, and awesome grip tape.
Overall, this Turtle Beach Burst II Pro High-Performance Ultra-Lightweight Wireless Optical Esports Gaming Mouse is an excellent performer. It has everything I need to play my adventure games and I really like that they left off the RGB coloring. I just find that to be a distraction. I am able to use this mouse for gaming as well as for my non-gaming life with equal ease. The spec's are outstanding, more than I will probably ever use, but for a true gamer - I feel like this would be an outstanding addition to their gaming arsenal. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a gaming mouse.

This Turtle Beach Burst II Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is an ultra-lightweight mouse weighing only 2.01 ounces or 57 grams. I am liking the lightweight nature of this mouse a lot. It is my first time using a mouse that is so lightweight.
In the box is the Turtle Beach Burst II Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse, Wireless USB-A adapter, USB-A to USB-C transmitter adapter, charging cable, extra skits & grip tape, and the Quick Start Guide.
Setup is a simple plug-and-play, but you can download the software, which is Swarm II, to enhance your gaming mouse by allowing you to program buttons, angle tuning, along with enhanced swiping precision. You can also customize your RGB, create macros, update the software, and check battery life, as well.
Battery life is awesome. You can get almost 150 hours of battery life at 1k but can still get 40 hours at 8k! In Bluetooth mode, you can get 165 hours. I tested the battery life on all the above; the 40 hours at 8k made it to 40.3 hours. In 1k, I got up to 148.6 hours. In Bluetooth mode, I got 165.4 hours. So, they were spot-on.
Design - I have small hands according to gloves; not sure what else to compare hand size to, but yes, I will use gloves as a size comparison. So, this mouse is ultra-lightweight, and it is also ergonomically designed. It feels good in my hand. It is not too big and bulky; it is not too hard to click the side buttons; it is not too weird to handle it to play a fast-moving game. You can customize the mouse with the included skates and grips. It feels like Turtle Beach made this Burst II Pro mouse just for me, and when I click any of the the mouse buttons, it feels like the mouse is an extension of myself.
Compatibility – The TurtleBeachBurst Pro II Wireless Gaming Mouse is compatible with Windows 10 and above, with software support, USB 2.0 or higher, and NVIDIA Reflex.
Special features of this mouse include the following:
• Owl-eye 30k DPI sensor
• DPI can be changed on the mouse without having to go into the Swarm II software or leaving your game
• Titan Optical switches
• True 8k wireless
• Extended battery life
• Customization with the grip tape, feet, and skits.
Summary: I replaced the gaming mouse I previously used with this one and will continue to use this one. It is a great mouse, and I highly recommend it to gamers, especially esports gamers, which is what Turtle Beach was aiming for with this mouse.

This is my 2nd Turtle Beach Burst II Pro mouse, I also own the Turtle Beach - Burst II Air Ultra Lightweight with Bluetooth & 120-hour battery. The Burst II model I’m reviewing today is the High Performance Lightweight Wireless Esports mouse 2.4 GHz, with Owl Eye 30K optical glass surface compatible.
You really have to hold one of these in your hands to believe how lightweight and awesome they are. For as lightweight as they are, they feel solid. With the 100 million click titan optical switch, they can take a clickin…and keep on tickin. My Burst II came in at exactly 58.6 grams, or 2.07 oz. ( for reference, a normal chicken breast weights roughly 4 oz.
Here’s what yah get with the mouse:
8K wireless USB-A Transmitter
8K USB-A to USB-C Transmitter Adapter
Grip tape+extra 1 full size PTFE+8 PTFE + 8 cUHMW-PE Skates
1 very nice extremely flexible fabric exterior charging cable with rubber cord management
This little beast has MIN/MAX DPI : 50/ 30,000, IPS tracking speed of 750, USB report rate of 8,000 Hz, and acceleration: 70g.
The battery life is roughly 150 H of game time. For reference, I’ve had my Burst II ultra-lightweight with 120 H of game time, for about 1 ½ years now. I’ve charged it twice so far lol. Mind you, I don’t play my pc every day, nor do I use the mouse everyday. If you plan to use this daily, and or for work, I’m sure you’ll be charging it more than that. I’m definitely not a hardcore daily pc gamer.
This mouse is responsive and feels like nothing in your hand during use. Hasn’t failed me yet in a game, or otherwise. Seamless set up and no connectivity issues with the wireless and Bluetooth .This latest Burst II will hold it’s own against any other similar mouse. The MAIN question ton ask yourself is, how lightweight can you tolerate. One of my son’s bought their own and ended up returning it because he didn’t like how light it is. Me myself and I, I love the weight, the less the merrier. If you’re not sure, google some items that weigh approximately 2 oz and practice moving them around in your hands. That’s really the only thing, if you are one of those consumers that mainly focuses on the performance, you can’t go wrong here. The only hang up for me is the location of the dpi button on the left side of the mouse. IMO it’s way too low and in an inconvenient spot. Should be moved up more Can’t go wrong unless you want a big ole heavy mouse. Highly recommend!

Lightweight And Features A Lot Of Customization

Turtle Beach has released a new mouse, the Burst II Pro. This is a lightweight mouse that has long battery life, multiple options for connectivity, and a lot of configuration options by way of the Swarm II app.
This mouse is very lightweight. Going from a gaming mouse that has some weight to it to this is a big change. If someone likes the heavy weight feel when moving a mouse, then they may not like the Burst II Pro. For someone who sometimes gets fatigue in their wrist with a heavy mouse being used over a long period of time, them they would like the Burst II Pro. It does not come with weights, so the light weight is what I get with this. That is ok to me as there are some games that I would prefer a light mouse. On the bottom of the mouse, there is a slot where I can store the RF module to keep up with it if I’m not using it. The Burst II Pro comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable, wireless module, a USB-C to USB-A module, and adhesive backed grip pieces that I can apply to the top of the mouse, and replacement adhesive pieces to replace the smooth bottom pads when they wear out. It comes with a lot.
The battery life is advertised to be up to 150 hours. I played Battlefield 6 with the mouse and used about 1.5% of battery life per hour, but I did have the settings for the mouse cranked up while gaming. The battery does depend on the settings being used like poling interval, DPI, etc. The mouse supports up to 30K DPI which is a bit crazy. Settings and firmware updates come by way of the SWARM II software. I was able to update the firmware of the mouse and wireless module without a problem. The software allows me to customize the mouse’s behavior to my preferences. I can set button actions, polling rate, DPI, lift-off distance, debounce time, motion sync, standby time, as well as several other settings. It allows me to set different DPI settings that I can cycle through with the click of a button. For instance, the DPI setting I use for an FPS isn’t what I would prefer for standard daily desktop use. I can cycle through to the DPI setting I want to use for a game and when I’m done, I can cycle back to the DPI setting that I like to use on a daily basis. The buttons are placed well on the mouse and I can easily get to any of them without shifting my hand forward or backward to get to them. The Burst II Pro’s profile is a little lower than what I’m accustomed to using. I didn’t find that a big problem once I got used to it.
Final Thoughts
I like the customization the SWARM II software and the Burst II Pro allow. Movement is smooth and I don’t have a problems with the buttons. Switching DPI settings is done with ease. The battery life is good and it charges in a reasonable amount of time. I’m happy with the mouse. This is a good performing mouse with a lot of customization options. If you are looking for a new mouse or a lightweight one to use as an alternate when you want a break from a heavy weighted mouse, then consider the Burst II Pro as a good option.

Lightweight - Burst II

If you’re looking for a lightweight wireless mouse look no further. The turtle Beach burst II is quick, nimble and customizable.
The burst was placed in premium packaging from the box to the mouse was stored. Everything was of quality and easy to open. The mouse includes a USB-C to USB-a cable that is braided, and it also comes with additional style pads for the bottom of your mouse for a different feel if needed. Installation was simple. I first charged the mouse with the included cable, but then I connected it to my laptop via Bluetooth. This mouse also comes with a USB stick in case you would want to use the mouse in that wireless format.
The mouse feels so lightweight I actually second-guess that it was even wireless. It doesn’t even feel like there’s a battery inside. It actually feels like it’s Hollow inside and the bottom of the mouse has spacing so they remove extra plastic that’s not needed so it’s open spacing pretty cool the first time I’ve ever seen this. You wouldn’t think having a lightweight mouse would do anything, but I think it totally. Does. It feel feels like air in my hand. My favorite feature is being able to adjust the DPI right at the point of my fingertip, the button is also placed in a spot that you’re not gonna easily hit it. It is towards the top left side of the mouse. When I need to change it. All I do is use my pointer finger and I click the button. My preference for changing DPI is catered to me. I like to use a faster mouse maybe for certain games doing normal work. I’ll probably do a medium speed and depending on what I’m working on my laptop if I’m working with photo editor or some type of drawing program I will use a lower DPI for a slower speed, so I have total control of the pointer.
My biggest question is how long will the battery last because it is so lightweight I’m not sure how the battery set up. What is nice though is that you can use this mouse while plugged into the USB cable that’s not for all mouses but you can certainly use it here. You can leave it plugged in at all times if you prefer, I prefer charging and keeping my mouse wireless because as I do things on my desk, I actually will move the mouse with me depending on what I’m clicking on when I’m working on and when you’re doing things for gaming, it’s it’s kind of nice to be free.
I recommend this mouse to anybody who’s looking for a quality mouse who needs some features in customer ability, but needs and prefers ease of use and honestly not something. That’s totally crazy with lights or extra gaming features.

First impressions: I actually love the styling. The black and chrome fits perfectly with the aesthetic of my setup. It’s a little more professional-looking than most gaming hardware, which suits me well. No flashy RGB lights or neon paints with this one.
Also, it’s remarkably lightweight. Like they left something out. But no, it’s just built that way! And it glides like it’s on ice. Actually it comes with several different sets of pads, so if you like it super slippery you’re covered, but if you want a more controlled feel you can swap out the pads to a rubberized version. Including the ones pre-installed, there are 4 sets of pads total: 3 styles of larger pads and 2 sets of dot skates—super slippery PTFE and more durable UHMW-PE. I wasn’t sure at first, but I decided that with the like the slippery feel (it goes well with the ultra lightweight body). There’s also a set of grip tape stickers for the top side of the mouse, if you want it to stick to your hand better.
Once I got it connected and set the settings, my next impression is that it’s smooooth. The 30K sensor and 8K wireless (using the dongle and lovely black fabric USB cable) gives a response at least as good as any other input device I’ve experienced. I had to look up what those numbers mean: 30K is 30,000 dots per inch on the sensor, so it can theoretically identify the mouse’s position to the nearest micrometer (for reference, a human red blood cell is about 8 micrometers in diameter). And 8K refers to 8000 measurements per second (polling rate). If you’re using it with an average top-end gaming monitors, this mouse is calculating its position over 30 times before the screen refreshes.
Using the Bluetooth option doesn’t provide nearly as good performance, but it’s nice to have options to provide compatibility with lots of devices.
So what’s not to like? If there’s such as thing as too light, this might be it. But It’s supposed to be ultra-lightweight, so I can’t complain. My partner said he didn’t like the way the plastic feels, but with all the different grip and glide options I’m sure there’s something for everyone. The only thing I found that I didn’t like about it is the scroll wheel: it seems stiffer than it should be, especially compared to the light finesse of the rest of the mouse.
Closing thought: the button clicks somehow sound great. I don’t know what it is, but it’s just really satisfying.

Comfortable Advantage

The Turtle Beach Burst II Pro is one of the best rare gaming mice that I have had the privilege to test out. The unit delivers uncomplicated competitive performance and is feather lightweight, which allows for extended gameplay without wrist fatigue.
Out of the box, there is a lot going on. The unit comes with a ton of extras that generally are not included by competitors at the same price point. My favorite inclusion was the grip tape, which provides a textured surface. I am a larger guy but my only complaint ever about lightweight mice, is that fact that my hands swallow them. This mouse is made for a medium sized hand, and the grip tape gives me something to hold onto while gaming or just scrolling. The mouse is exceptionally light but feels very well made from durable plastics. Turtle Beach also included plenty of extra skates for extended customization.
The meat in the taco for this device comes from its seamless and stupid responsive connectivity. I also worry about a wireless mouse having a longer response time. However, that is not the game here. Turtle Beach’s latency at the true 8kHz wireless polling rate is among the most responsive I have ever used. I am a novice gamer, but the clicks, scrolls, and slight movements are as good, if not better than most wired mice. Combine that with an excellent battery life, and you are off to win those proverbial races all night long (or days) without interruptions.
My final verdict is that this is a standout unit that rivals any mouse in any competitive tier. It is one of the lightest, most precise, and coolest looking mice I have or have played with. The mouse offers prolonged battery life, with state of the art responsiveness for seamless & fatigue-free gameplay. If you are looking to upgrade your advantage, this mouse is worth considering.

Solid Light Weight Mouse!

The Burst II Pro is amazingly light, with easy-to-use software (which cannot be stressed enough). It comes with grip pads that can be added to the mouse itself for extra grip when playing, which I utilized.
Weighing 37g, you immediately notice the weight (or lack thereof) when you pick it up. It has a nice matte finish and feels great ergonomically in the hand. It comes with extra pads for the bottom, an extension cable for the 2.4gz dongle, and the already mentioned grip pads, which are easy to put on.
Battery life was great but also depends on your polling rate (which can go up to 8k). Swarm II, which is the software utilized by the mouse, was extremely easy to use. There was an update for the dongle and mouse when I first launched it, and overall, the process was smooth and easy.
I found the buttons nice to use and the feedback felt was just right for me. I hate overly clicky mice and this was not one of them.
Overall, I cannot complain about this mouse and can see why it has climbed up the ranks for e-sports mice. It’s extremely light, which all but removes fatigue in the arm that you see with heavier mice. The software is easy to use as well! A+ from Turtle Beach

Lightweight mouse with multiple options to connect

Been using the mouse now for a bit, and overall its decent but personally I like a little bigger and heavy mouse. This mouse is very lightweight, and if that’s what you like, it’s a great choice, so this part is more of a personal preference. From a function standpoint it works like any gaming mouse I’ve used, and the software lets you change the DPI easily to what settings you like (which if you’ve not had a gaming mouse, its nice, can change how fast the mouse moves on the screen for the game you’re playing). You can also use the mouse when its plugged in directly, connect it to Bluetooth, or using the dongle. I would say the one weird part is that there isn’t really a spot for the dongle, and it comes with a converter that doesn’t fit anywhere, I’d like to see a spot to hold the dongle. From my usage, I didn’t see a difference between any of the connection options.
Overall it’s a decent gaming mouse, but kind of light for my preference, but it’s a good office mouse especially if you go from a dock using the dongle, and to Bluetooth when you move your computer. The software is also pretty straightforward and doesn’t add a bunch of unnecessary features.

Burst II Pro is Great Contender

Turtle Beach Burst II Pro High-Performance Ultra-Lightweight mouse is another great performer from Turtle Beach in my book. I have owned a number of gaming mice and they keep improving them somehow as the years or some times months come by.
Let me share some of my experiences with this new mouse from Turtle Beach.
First of all, let's talk about the feel. We all want to make sure it fits and feels nicely in our palm as most of us spend a lot of hours interacting with the mouse. Thanks to its ultra light built (it weighs just 57g), this mouse makes it perfect for fast-paced games and long sessions without any palm or hand fatigue. The feel itself is very good, it has a slightly flatter top shell and I found it encourages quick wrist movements and "low-lift-off playstyles", which many FPS players prefer actually. Try it for yourself and you will see what I meant by that.
Now, as many other gaming mice out there, this Turtle Beach creation has a number of excellent features built in. I would call them performance enhancers like - 8K Wireless Polling Rate. According to the specs it delivers a blazing-fast 0.125ms latency, making it one of the most responsive mice available which of course is ideal for competitive gaming. I actually had to look into the terminology of what this 8K rate is and learned a few things for myself. So an 8K wireless polling rate means the mouse reports its position to your computer 8,000 times per second or once every 0.125 milliseconds. I would say this is a massive leap from the standard 1K (1,000 Hz) polling rate, which updates every 1 millisecond. I know low latency means a lot to a gamer, as your cursor pretty much reacts more immediately to your hand movements, reducing input lag. And you get smoother tracking with it, especially noticeable in high refresh rate monitors (240Hz+). This mouse boasts 750 IPS tracking speed, which means the mouse sensor can accurately track movement at speeds up to 750 inches per second. Most gaming mice offer around 400–650 IPS and at 750 IPS, this Burst II Pro mouse can handle extremely fast flicks and swipes without losing precision. Love it!
This is an excellent mouse which has a great battery life, awesome performance. I have not had any issues with it and will continue using it. It is somewhat pricey so I let it lose one star in my review.
