*First off, I've only experienced crackling when the mic is too close to my mouth. A couple inches of adjustment, and my online colleagues claim I sound better than ever. So let's put that to rest.
This is my first over-$100 headset, and my expectations were a little up there. Fortunately for me, this headset met every single one of them. The sound is flawless, with audio coming in perfect clarity and no buzzing to be heard at all, and coming up from X12s was totally worth the extra eighty-to-ninety dollars. We're not talking top-of-the-line surround sound here, but the price point is indeed justified.
The biggest flaw this headset has is that there's not an easy way to use it as a chat headset for the 360. I haven't fully explored that yet, but as far as I can tell, it won't work. So I guess I'm hanging on to my X12's for a little while longer, or maybe making one last current-gen investment in a wireless Microsoft headset until I fully transition to the Xbox One.
Like I mentioned earlier, friends and colleagues did mention some crackling, but as soon as I adjusted the mic to be a few inches further from my face, they were impressed with how clear I sounded. The headset is a little heavy, but fortunately, if you're ever needing a break, any set of headphones with a standard jack will allow you to get game audio from the controller. And, as is the case with any sound-isolating headphones, it's a little hard to hear oneself. But I've found the mic to even be able to pick up whispers, so talking a little quieter than normal seems to be a far better alternative than shouting, especially when the adapter allows you to lower game/chat audio at will.**
All-in-all, these are an excellent set of headphones, and I'm sure we'll see quite a bit of evolution in the upcoming decade. If you don't have the disposable income to invest in these, you should definitely at least get the chat adapter, as it really is quite neat, and you also shouldn't be scared about updating your controllers, as it took me less than seven minutes to update both of mine.*** But this headset was definitely worth saving up for, and the adapter being included made me feel like I was saving money in the long run.
**The game/chat balancer took me a little while to figure out, but once I did, I can't stop gushing about how amazing this adapter is. You've got your volume controls on the right, your mute button in the center (for when you don't want your online buddies to hear you say "Record That" for the hundredth time), and your Game and Chat buttons on the left. The latter two do NOT affect the overall volume, but rather, how they compare/contrast. If you want to boost the game's sound and lower the chat's, you push the controller icon, and if you want to make the chat louder and the game softer, you push the other one. So simple, yet so genius!
***Updating the controllers should be as simple as plugging them in, but if that doesn't work, manually updating them isn't too hard. Go to Settings, System, Update Controllers, and you should be able to update them quite easily from there. You might need to detach and reattach the MicroUSB cable (which comes included), but that USB port on the One's right side (or left of the power button, if you're facing it) makes that pretty conveniently accessible.

One of the best set of audio that I ever have. Really easy to connect and I really like that I dont have to worry for the battery anymore, but is has trouble once is connect and disconnect, the audio is lost, so I have to turn it on the whole console to meke it work again.

I've tried several different headsets and have finally found a headset that works for my needs. It may sound silly, but the "Superhuman Hearing" is a great feature for tactical games, that allows users to hear what direction noises are coming from. For those FPS fans, this is a must for games like Rainbow Six: Siege, Call of Duty, or Battlefield. The volume control is a bit clunky, but can be overlooked once you find your preferred volume levels. Construction is solid, and the headset is comfortable, even for longer gaming sessions. All in all, a great product at an affordable price.

I was excited when I bought these, but after taking them home and opening them I was disappointed from the start. First they feel cheaply made, every time you move them or adjust them they squeak. They get uncomfortable after about an hour of wear. The top band hurts the most. They will make your ears sweat. Then the sound.. Highly disappointed. When I play a game with my buddy he always ask, "You didn't hear him coming, I heard him on my headset." He has the Microsoft xbox one stereo headset. Ive had them for about a year and already falling apart. The material on the ear cups is ripping and falling off. The only good thing about this headset is the mic, my friends say I sound clear, and the folding design for the ear cups. Do not buy, pay the little extra for Astros. (or spend less and get the stereo headset.)

I purchased the XO Sevens Pros on sale and haven't been disappointed. I have tried true surround sound headphones and they have nothing on these. They are every bit as good as the 300 dollar ones which leaves more money to buy games. It's a win win.

The XO Seven is an awesome gaming headset. Very comfortable to wear for long periods of time and the audio quality is top notch. The surround sound is noticeable when there's not much going on but once you're in the middle of a battle it becomes fairly overwhelming.
All in all I highly recommend this headset for an Xbox one gamer, and it's the only one I know of that is compatible with it without any driver issues. It also works great just to plug into your phone to listen to some music. My only complaint is that there's no in the box adapter for being able to use the Mic on your PC.

great sound, my friends say the mic is good
I have a rather large head and don't find that there is quite enough adjustment range for really comfortable extended use.
would be 5 stars if there was a few more clicks of adjustment

The game volume and chat volume are not separately controlled like advertised. They both just kind of go up and down as one sound. Its really annoying. If the sound quality wasnt as good as it is, I would be giving this a 3.

We have had numerous pairs of turtle beach's.
He just recently upgraded to xbox one, he originally purchased the xo one headset, but he researched on his own , and decided the xo seven were the best without spending 300.00

I was looking for an above average sounding stereo headset and this one is it. It has a good build quality, is comfortable over the long term while playing. Yes this is a wired headset and to me that is not an issue.

I've been playing games with no sound since i play late at night most often and don't want to disturb family members and this allows for full game and chat sound through the headset. Very comfortable and works great!

Great quality sound as expected and fits comfortably on my head. I love the fact that it's powered by the controller and doesn't need it's own set of batteries. Easy volume control for both the game and chat audio.

On the packaging, I noticed the small circular stickes had been removed and put back on. Maybe it was a returned item. Who knows. Well when the headset wants to work its great. The connection from the headset to the controller has a small part that disconnect one end of the cord from the other. And its all kind of jacked up. I have to mess with it each time I get on my xbox. Sound will only come in one ear till I fix it, then its great. ..... would recommend to a friend but not sure if I got a tampered headaet cord or this is how its produced.

These headphones are a great alternative to using my surround sound system. Crisp clear sound, and no issue with online chat. My only minor complaint is that the bass could be a little louder.
