I hate to give out negative reviews, and really try to only save them unless the product is trash and unfortunately, this is trash. I only ended up having these for a couple of days and there isn't much positive to say because I hardly had a chance to use them. The noise cancelling effect was wonderful but I was having a bunch of issues when using it trying to connect with my Xbox party so I exchanged them. The second pair presented a new set of problems as the connectivity issues were resolved, but I had a heck of a time with the noise it put out. Everyone in my Xbox party would complain anytime that I moved my head or my headset. They said it was very distracting and that it sounded like two PVC pipes being rubbed together. They also indicated that my voice wouldn't start kicking in until I was a couple of words into my sentence. Overall, I returned these duds and it'll be the last time I buy a pair of Turtle Beach headphones

you don't need the tv on even when you have these in. my husband plays his game and I turn off the tv and don't have to listen to the shooting or anything its AMAZING!!! also when my kids are asleep at night if I'm watching something I just put them in and turn off the volume on the tv and its amazing they don't hear anything and sleep and I hear it all.

Headset is comfortable and has great audio. Noise cancellation is plus.

So first off, these headphones live up to the Turtle Beach name. They have good sound quality, as all TB headphones do, but are outperformed by my Astro A40s. You are probably paying a little more than you should when you buy these, but as their aren't a lot of options, you could argue you are getting your money worth based on the market. They are comfortable, adjust well, voices on the other end are clear, and your friends will hear you very clearly also through the breakaway microphone. The biggest con is that their is no power source for these and they draw directly from the controller batteries. You will want to pair these with a couple of controllers with rechargeable batteries and put em in a rotation. Or I guess you could invest in Costco for all the batteries you'll need.

I was on the fence about purchasing these XO Sevens,But what caught my eye was the fact no RF receiver needed to be connected to console. This product is truly wireless from the system to headset. Both in-game and audio controls are separate. All i needed to do was plug the adaptor to my controller/Update,DONE!!! By far the easiest setup. Great Product. Hope this helps.

This headset is great for any gamer that wants a great experience in gaming! This headset drowns the user in sound that is so clear. When you are playing online CoD or Destiny, you can hear grenades or sounds that are on a certain side that helps you quickly know where it is around you. For the money, don't think you can buy a better headset!! :-)

I put these headphones on and all you hear is the game surrounds you. Everything goes Silent in the room you are in. Forget about hearing the door bell, cell phone , land lines and even the wife can not be heard. A good thing and no so good thing to ignore the wife or miss a important phone call. But all so Cool. Great Sound you hear everything in the game .

Best headset i've owned, very comfortable, can wear it for hours. Seems pretty durable so far. Excellet sound quality, bought it mostly for battledield and can hear people coming from behind even over chat and all of the chaos. Gives a slight advantage. Only problem you can't here your own voice in chat and the headset cancels so much noise that the wife gets on me for talking to loud. On other sites I read that this set was Dolby surround but I believe it is stereo. Not that I can tell the difference because it still sounds excellent. Also read that it was wireless but it's not. The Mic boom is sturdy and keeps It s shape better than the xo4 which has a tendency to want to return to its original form. Also fits a slight bit better than the xo4

the headset works and sounds great. I like that I don't have wires running to the xbox and receiver, just to the controller. The only issue I have is that the right ear cup creaks with the slightest movements, when I talk or move my head I get this loud creaking noise. like plastic rubbing on plastic or something is loose.

I have tried different high end versions of Polk, Triton and Turtle Beach and this is by far the best in this price range. The sound quality is really great and there are different mode settings to suit anyone. The only downside is the controls for the game/chat sound are a little confusing but in no way a true "negative"

Great for long gaming sessions, doesn't hurt your ears. The leather ear speaker cups go over the ears and feel very comfortable. I highly recommend for serious gamers with a small budget.
