Sound quality was good (4/5) and battery life was good (4/5) while these lasted. The build quality of these headphones (2/5) is not worth the $99 price. The plastic is not very durable. Mine snapped during normal usage above the left ear after about 2.5 years of casual use with careful storage in between gaming sessions. There's not enough flexibility in the headband or the height adjustment mechanism. Better off getting something made of metal.

I bought this headset about a month ago, and just returned it today. The headset itself was comfortable and sounded good WHEN IT WORKED. I liked the design, I liked the wireless for the price points, and I liked the functions. The reason this product is an absolute dud is that the wireless connection simply does not work efficiently and it seems as though the company has already given up on the product. The first thing you read is a bunch of negative reviews about audio dropouts, distortion, and mic issues. I chose to ignore them and give it a go because of the prestige of the Turtle Beach brand. As soon as you open the box you see a big print out notice in bold letters saying "DO NOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT, WE CAN HELP". The notice goes on to say to contact support if having any difficulties. It's obvious through that notice and a few hot fixes that they patched out that the company knows the hardware itself is flawed. I was having issues with audio dropouts, mic problems, and most notably the god awful audio distortion; everything sounded out of tune and sometimes slowed down like a DJ spinning tracks. It was so bad that it destroyed any in game music by transposing it a few cents off key. I went through the troubleshoot. I updated and formatted the headset 3 times. I turned off one of my router's signal bands. I even turned off my wifi for moments to test it. Nothing helped. Finally helpless, I contacted support. This is where the true essence of this warning review comes into play. I contacted them expecting some words of consolation and reassurance. Maybe providing some ideas on how to get the product to work. Maybe reassurance that the problems were recognized and were being worked on. What I got was the exact opposite. A turtle beach rep named "Jin" simply told me to return the product and stating that there was something in my "wireless environment" causing interference. Mind you, I turned off my router's wifi and the 2.4 ghz band. So basically this product seems to have some inherent design flaws, which the company is aware of and believes it can't fix. They suggest things like removing the router from the xbox room (which any true gamer knows is absolutely ridiculous proposition). I believe this is probably a legacy product inside the company's inner circle and they are moving away from trying to provide solutions and just cutting their losses. So if you live on a farm, with no wireless signals around you, don't have your router in the room, are ok with turning off a band from your home router this might be a good headset for you. If you live in any city or urban environment, I can almost guarantee you will have the same interference that I did, and the company just doesn't care. Save yourself the money, stay away for now. I would be wary of any Turtle Beach products going forward after seeing how this company's culture operates. I personally lost all trust that the company can actively support their customers and their purchases after-the-fact once their 30-day return period is finished.

It seems that Turtle Beach headsets last only a year. I am a 53 year old male and I take care of my products. They do not just lay around on the floor or get dropped. Everything has a place and the headset sits on a shelf. The plastic tips that hold the ear piece on are broke and just fell off. I get tired of paying $100.00 per year to support Turtle Beach. It's as if Turtle Beach geared these towards small children as far as the audio quality goes, where is the volume, where is the bass, the treble.Super human hearing is a lesson in horrendous sound qua!ity that often is plagued by a annoying PHWACK as the speaker overloads..Shameful quality, My first venture into TB and my last!!! Save your money. Garbage

(Xbox user here) Bought these and am quite happy so far. Connection is easy and automatic. Just turn on and sync with Xbox and voila, wireless sound. Tried the “super human hearing” mode but would not recommend as it makes things sound underwater. There are four sound settings and imo, best to use the bass and treble boost as that helps to make the game sounds so much deeper and richer. Decently long battery life as well and fairly quick charging times. Ear cups feel standard size but I’m able to squash them over my hearing appendages fine. If you have normal lobes, these should work great. Foam pads around the ear cups and at the top of the headband part are comfortable and these are pretty light so can do long sessions without discomfort. Two cons I’ve experienced are that it picks up either the sound from my nearby fan or the interference from the electrical current which causes a tiny hissing sound. Very minor and after a while, I hardly notice it. Secondly, once in a while, the headset’s connection gets a little weak and the music goes a little flat/sharp. Truly minor issue. Otherwise, great headset at the price. Although I’ve only owned this headset for a couple of weeks now, Turtle beach quality definitely shows.

My son uses these for a little over a year and the headphones broke while he was wearing them. This part should not be made of plastic, it should be metal like most other headphones. Other than the construction he liked these headphones.

I was not impressed with the quality of this product. They break too easy. Sound is great but buy the warranty!

I have dealt with allot of different headsets & have never found a pair as comfortable or having as good quality sound as these do. You get PC headphone surround sound quality for your Xbox One. Not only awesome for playing games but in my opinion watching movies make you feel like you’re in a theater without bugging the person next to you. The Bass vibrates your upper body during explosions just like your local theater. Without using the enhanced setting the volume gets very high & you might not even turn it all the way up. The 15 hr battery life is no joke as well. I charged it when I got it & playing about 4-6 hours a day it lasted me 3 whole days & died about a hour into the 4th. This is a must buy.

Good quality sound once the firmware has been updated. The on/off mechanism is awkward at best; these would be much more user friendly if there were a simple toggle or slide switch. Instead there is a button right next to the audio presets button that has to be pressed and held to turn them on or off. Pairing is super easy and works great. Superhuman Hearing is exactly that - it really does a great job of presence, depth, and direction. Volume is good but less than perfect, I find that it works well but only when volume is set to maximum. I would prefer a wider volume range. Weight is very good for a completely wireless headset and these are comfortable to wear for extended gaming sessions. The charging cord is quite short, so be sure you get a good quality USB A male to USB A female extension.

I'm glad Turtle Beach finally has wireless headphones at a more affordable price. The 800s are nice but too expensive. These sound good, are wireless, and relatively affordable. Not to mention, they aren't having connectivity issues like my Astro A50s were having.

Sounds clear and batteries last all day, it is also really cool that this are one of the first real true wireless, no need connecting cable to controller for party chat, just connect headset like you connect the wireless controllers and it works flawlessly.

There's all kind of different variations you could find these headsets in but only a few core features matter. Can you hear that one guy inching behind you 2 feet back and 4 feet left? Yes. As long as the gane you are playing doesn't have garbage sound design. Does the headset feel heavy? Nah but I have a neck slightly thicker than a pencil so that may help. Are the earcups comfy? Yes very. The way they hug around your ears makes them passively noise cancelling but you still hear people talking in the other room. This pairs like an xbox controller in 10 seconds if not faster. Charges off of mini usb.

My son loves these! He's almost 13, but has had multiple different headphones over the years. He's says they're his favorite.

I wanted wireless headphones for my xbox one S, had no clue turtle beach made such thing. To my surprise they connect like you first connect your xbox controller. Clear sound but it disconnects from time to time, nothing a software update can’t fix.

Sound levels are excellent. Mic is good and easy to detach when needed. The overall product is really very good for a mid-price gamer head set. Only drawback has been the short charging cable from the XBox to the headset. This is a problem if trying to continue play and charge at the same time. Otherwise, the life of the battery has been very good without any snags.

I was a little apprehensive when buying these as some had said in reviews that the sound quality was poor. They said the sound was quiet. That is not the case at all. My fiancé loves these! The sound quality is excellent. The wireless feature makes connection and use very convenient. They are very comfortable as well. The rep said he personally preferred astros because they were more cushiony - but these are great. They cup your ear perfect and have very adequate cushion. They are not uncomfortable at all - even after hours of wear. One thing my fiancé loves is the mic flips up and makes it so others cannot hear you. The only thing I can say negative is there is no foam over the mic so it does pick up background noise a little - otherwise 5/5.
