Modularity and customization
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are a type of gamer who likes to customize their controller and seek modularity that allows a preferred controller button layout, then this controller is the right choice. This Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is a premium modular controller. The controller comes in a nice carrying case that includes a very long braided charging cable, a wireless transmitter, a swappable thumb stick with hall effects, a reversible D pad for a preferred layout, a 6a-button Fightpad Module, in addition to a module customization tool. Everything is stored in the carrying case, which makes it easy to carry around. Design is attractive, and its color stands out. I put the controller on charge until it reached 100% charge, then I downloaded the controller hub app on my PC to customize the controller and check if there is any update. I plugged it in, and was prompted to update it to the latest firmware. I customized it to meet my gaming needs. I was excited to try it for the first time, and it was not my happiest moment. The controller did not work as it was supposed to, and I had issues with the buttons. The X button was randomly triggered even when I did not use it, and when I set the player to run, the X button activated and messed up my gaming experience. After that, I recalibrated the controller, and after this step, the controller worked flawlessly and never had any issues. Not sure if that was a firmware bug or if a recalibration was needed. I customized the extra paddles, and playing with the controller is a big fun. Holding it in my hand is comfortable and ergonomic. What I liked about this controller is: 1- Ergonomic and guild quality is solid 2- Can be connected either wirelessly or wired 3- Low latency and no connection drop 4- Sticks are Hall Effect sensor-based (no stick drifting) 5- Modularity and customization 6- The controller hub has a well-designed UI and offers a wide range of remapping and calibration 7- Charging seems to last long My overall experience has been great, and I liked its performance; it excels in every aspect.

Great Turtle Beach controller.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really nice controller. My setup was on PC so not Xbox in my household. PC setup was a snap. Basically plug and play with window 11. No issues or driver issues. I set this up on Rainbow Six and it was super easy. Just follow the directions and you are all set. Also WiFi setup was super easy using the dongle supplied. RGB lights are nice and subtle . The number of buttons and options to use the various buttons is awesome... Weight is not too heavy so it won't cause fatigue. Also the different button options to swap out is great custom touch. I really like this option. Storage case is nice and compact and stores everything you need and is sturdy enough to protect the controller. Respond times are nice. No lag or buffering. No complaints. Battery life is good. 4 hours of playing sor far and no issues. Appearance is nice. Black and simple. Sits well in my hand. Rubber anti slip accents in the right spots. Headphone Jack is there if you want to hardwire a set of headphones. I think I will definitely be using this controller as my go to for now. Good job turtle beach.

How the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded helps you win!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Welcome to the Next Level of Gaming If you're the kind of gamer who obsesses over every detail—from thumbstick tension to button layout—you’re not alone. The quest for the perfect controller is real. And now, Turtle Beach has dropped something that might just end that search: the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. This isn’t just another piece of gear—it’s a precision-crafted, fully customizable controller built for serious players who want comfort, control, and cutting-edge tech all in one sleek package. Built to Fit You: Modular Magic What really sets the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded apart? Its modular design. You’re not stuck with a one-size-fits-all setup. Want to swap out buttons or change the layout entirely? Go for it. Prefer an arcade-style plate for fighting games like Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat? It’s included. This controller adapts to you—not the other way around. Whether you're into shooters, fighters, or racing sims, you can tweak it to match your style. Tech That Keeps Up With You Inside, it’s just as impressive. The hall effect thumbsticks are a game-changer—literally. They’re built to last and eliminate the dreaded stick drift, so your aim stays sharp and your movements stay smooth. And comfort? Covered. The rubberized grips and ergonomic shape mean you can play for hours without feeling like your hands are staging a rebellion. It’s solid, sturdy, and clearly built to take a beating. Wired or Wireless—Your Call Whether you’re gaming on PC or Xbox, the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded has you covered. Use it wired for zero-lag precision or go wireless with the included USB dongle for freedom of movement. Either way, you’re getting reliable performance. Plus, those four extra back buttons? Total game-changers. Remap them however you want—many players use them to avoid clicking thumbsticks mid-game, keeping their aim steady and their fingers happy. Hear Everything: Dolby Atmos Support Sound matters, and this controller doesn’t skimp. With Dolby Atmos support, you’ll hear every footstep, explosion, and ambient detail in full 3D audio. It’s like stepping into the game world. And Turtle Beach didn’t stop there. The controller comes in a protective case with a handy screwdriver for swapping parts. It’s clear they’re thinking long-term—this is a controller built to evolve with you. Worth It? Absolutely Yes, it’s a premium controller with a premium price. But if you’re serious about gaming and want a device that feels tailored to you, the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is worth every penny. It’s not just a controller—it’s your new competitive edge.

Very good for FPS & fighting games.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review._____ *Pros: -Excellent build materials and quality. -Customizable modular design. -Hall effect sticks and triggers for more precise and predictable control. -Steady and reliable wireless connection. -Long battery life. _____ *Neutral: -I wish the modules can be just popped out using your hands instead of a tool. -The rear trigger buttons (L2 & R2) have a short travel distance that’s heavily geared toward shooting games. _____ *Cons: -None My first impression of the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded was very positive as I uncovered the box and viewed the meticulous attention to detail, pored over the numerous swappable components and modules, and felt the high-quality in-hand feel of the game pad thanks to its excellent build materials, firm grip, and well-balanced weight. Befitting its high price tag, the Victrix Pro looks, feels, and behaves like a premium, high-end controller. I also own a SCUF Envision Pro wireless gamepad that already set a pretty high bar in performance and expectations, but the Victrix Pro exceeded it for the most part. After charging up the controller to full via its USB-C port, I fired it up on my Asus ROG Strix G18 gaming laptop with an RTX 5080 using the wireless transmitter and began playing my current assortment of games – Resident Evil 4 Remake, Elden Ring, Split Fiction, World War Z Aftermath, Cyberpunk 2077, and Street Fighter 6, as well as some retro games on emulators. To my disappointment, Resident Evil 4 Remake was unable to detect the controller and did not work for some reason (my other gamepads worked fine). But all the other games, even the emulation ones, worked just fine. I noticed that the Victrix Pro worked especially well for fast-paced FPS shooting games, as the L2 and R2 triggers have a short travel distance that resulted in quicker and more responsive firing. The short travel L2 and R2 trigger buttons also worked well in fast-paced slashing games for the same reason as in the FPS games but also due to ergonomic and comfort reasons – the short travel distance results in less hand and finger fatigue during long gaming sessions because you don’t have to press down and in as much. But the short travel distance L2 and R2 triggers were a double-edged sword because for games that require a more gradual or stepped response, such as in racing games for acceleration, the triggers were difficult to adjust to and use. There is a solution, though, from Turtle Beach – you can download its Victrix Control Hub app and use it to recalibrate and remap trigger sensitivity. The Hall Effect joysticks and triggers were a joy to use, as they offer tangible and very desirable upgrades over the older potentiometer-based designs, such as a much longer service life, no drifting, higher precision and consistency, lower latency, and a smoother feel. If you have ever felt annoyed because your favorite non-Hall Effect gamepad felt sticky and drifty after a while and required more and more frequent calibration sessions, then the Victrix Reloaded is for you. Another awesome feature and star of the Reloaded gamepad are the swappable modules for the buttons, different D-pad plates, and extra thumb sticks that you can customize and play around with as you switch from one game type to another. In order to switch modules or change its orientation, you have to use the included screw tool to loosen the modules before pulling it out. I understand that using screws to hold down the modules is probably the more secure way of doing it, but I would’ve liked it if the modules were held down by magnets and I could just pull them out using my fingers. It’s a small niggle, and I’m not too bothered by having to use a tool since I won’t be switching modules that frequently. Speaking of modules, I appreciated the inclusion of a FightPad module that is very suitable for, as its name suggests, fighting games. By having the punch and kick buttons on the main body of the controller instead of having to use the shoulder trigger buttons, was a huge quality of life boost. Having a FightPad module for fighting games, frankly, is so brilliant and good for performance as well, since the buttons are easier and faster to press than the shoulder trigger buttons, and they’re clickity and very responsive. The battery life was excellent. I didn’t quite reach the advertised 20 hours of gameplay, but I did get about 16 to 18 hours, which is still very good. All in all, I’m very satisfied and happy with the Turtle Beach Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded gamepad. It looks cool, feels great in-hand, the joysticks, triggers, and buttons are all responsive and accurate, and the swappable modules is simply brilliant. I give it 4.5 Stars.

Looks AND Personality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turtle Beach is no stranger to the world of video gaming and their newest controller named the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is by all standards, an excellent contoler all around. I tried this controller on first person shooters like Call of Duty and the new Borderlands 4, and I tried Street Fighter 6 with the fightpad module. Quality: Very nicely made of high-quality materials and Well engineered, this is truly a professional controller in every sense of the word. Ergonomics: This controller resembles a PlayStation 5 controller in terms of its shape and the way the triggers are positioned, etc. it has nice grip textures all around, and it just fit well in my hand. Buttons: Excluding the fight pad, the face buttons on the controller feel “normal” just like PlayStation 5 or Xbox buttons. The buttons on the fight pad are different, these are extremely clicky, not necessarily bad you just have to get used to them. Triggers: These resemble the PlayStation 5 triggers in the way they are positioned, they are also extremely sensitive, I tend to rest my fingers on the triggers when I’m not using them, and once in a while, my character would aim down the sights or even shoot because they are that sensitive. This is not necessarily a good or bad thing. It’s just something you have to get used to. Customization: Obviously, the selling point here is the fact that you can customize this controller like no other controller. It is pretty easy to remove the little bolts with the included tool to help you find a configuration you like. Everything is pretty straightforward, the controller does not have any noticeable added weight or bulk because of this. I think that is where this controller shines. If it was big and bulky, it would be an instant turn off to me and I’m sure a lot of other gamers. Misc: Comes in a cool case similar to that of the Xbox Elite controllers, with a charging cable, tool, extra D pads, extra thumbsticks, Which btw are replaceable by snapping them into place and not magnetic like an Elite controller.

Top Notch Controller w/Cool Flexibility Options!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turtle Beach has never let me down and their new Victrix line continues that fine tradition. If you are looking for a stellar controller that is well built, has awesome versatility/customization, and an easy to use software package, look no further than the Pro BFG Reloaded. Pros: 1. Outstanding Quality: You can tell this controller is built well and will last, which is more than I can say for some first party premium controllers. You also get a very nice case that holds all of the accessory pieces and a very nice braided cable. 2. Outstanding Feel: The Pro BFG has a great weight to it that is nicely balanced in the hand, and I found the sticks/D-Pad set-up right out the box to be perfect. It took me a bit to get used to the locations of the system buttons around the main Xbox button, but I have that problem with every new controller I try. The size and texture of the buttons makes it easy to ensure a good press. 3. Software: If you look for the customization software on the Xbox store, be sure to be looking under Victrix and NOT Turtle Beach! Once you fire up the control panel you can easily switch darn near every function of your controller. The biggest change that I needed to make was to make the trigger actuation match the setting of the trigger clutch system (more on that in the 'Meh' section). 4. Physical Customization: It's really cool to be able to swap the button module orientation or even the entire module. I don't play fighter games so the included module isn't really for me, but I'm hoping that the Victrix team has some additional modules in mind for things like flight sims and such. 5. Battery Life: I did a full charge before starting to use the Victrix Pro BFG and after more than 5 days of playing, I STILL haven't gotten a low battery warning. It's been holding up great. Meh: (I'm not going to call them Cons, because these are really only personal problems and not anything actually wrong with the Pro BFG.) 1. Back Triggers: I'm not a huge fan of back-triggers in the first place, and to see, the ones on the Victrix Pro BFG stand out a little too much for my liking. Before I got into the software and disabled them, I was constantly setting them off and messing with my game. I would prefer to be able to remove them, but deactivation works too. 2. Clutch Triggers: I really like the multiple settings available for the main triggers on the controller. You don't just get a hair-trigger/full-trigger option, but a lot of options in between. But the problem is that despite where you set the trigger stop, without changing the setting in the software, the tigger actuates immediately instead of at the bottom of the trigger pull. This really sent me for a loop when I was playing because I'm expecting to need some pull to perform the action, but it was actually going off sometimes from just an accidental touch. Great that it is responsive, but that should have only happened with the hair-trigger setting. I dialed in the actuation to be at 50% pull, which was where the clutch was set and everything was right as rain after that. Conclusion: Is the Turtle Beach - Vixtrix Pro BFG expensive? Yes, but it is fully in line with all the other controllers in its class and for that price gives you quality, ergonomics, and customization options that the other controllers can't match. If you are looking for a premium controller, it deserves to be at the top of your list.

Pro level Controller in the making
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Turtle Beach’s latest Victrix Pro BFG reloaded controller is an updated version of the original PDP Victrix Pro BFG. Since Turtle beach acquired PDP several years ago, the Victrix Pro (built for gaming) reloaded has been updated. Mostly the same design with updated parts and internals. Biggest change is the Hall Effect technology in the included modules and thumbsticks. I am waiting to see long-term how the thumbsticks hold up. My biggest issues with my current and past Xbox Controllers are stick drift and faulty A buttons. I’ve had to return several standard and Elite controllers due to faulty buttons. I did not notice any button sticking or loose d-pads. How does it feel? Using the Victrix Pro BFG reloaded controller for Xbox feels pretty good in the hand. The overall weight and size is comparable to the standard Xbox controller. I played a few sports, fighting, and first-person shooter games as soon as I opened the controller. I did not wait to charge the device or see if there were any firmware updates. I jumped right in and noticed right away that I was not going to elevate my play right away. The thumbsticks were way too stiff and not broken in. I actually had to switch back to my original controller. This isn’t because the Victrix Pro reloaded was bad. I will need to considerable time to learn and break the controller in. I kept inadvertently pressing the buttons on the rear of the controller which I will need to practice using those buttons to gain an advantage while playing. I’m also getting used of the button layout versus my standard Xbox controller. I allowed my son to test out the controller as well. He agreed with some of my thoughts as well. We will need some time with the controller to break it in. He did love the hair trigger mode which allowed him to perform some moves he couldn’t perform with his standard Xbox controller. I’ve connected the controller to several devices to test the input and latency. Wireless and wired modes performed well. Bluetooth mode while connected to my television did add minimal latency, but this is to be expected. Accessories and extras The Victrix Pro BFG reloaded comes with everything you need in the box. Interchangeable modules, thumbsticks, D-pads, carry case, and ability to play wired, wireless or connect to Bluetooth. The Victrix control Hub can be accessed on both Xbox and PC and enables firmware updates, button re-mapping and audio adjustments. I was able to map the rear buttons and adjust the audio settings fairly easy. I was able to test both wired and wireless modes. Both worked great however I prefer wired mode for minimal latency. I’m going to keep practicing and breaking in the Victrix Pro BFG reloaded controller to see if my skill level improves over time.

Turtle Beach Victrix Pro and all the MODS
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New Turtle Beach Controller this has a lot of extras to put on. First off this is to compete against the XBOX Elite controller witch i have and i use. So when this came out i had to try it to see the difference in the controllers. They weight about the same the size is the same they both have the rear bottom buttons to program. What sets them apart is all the little extras that come with the Turtle beach controller. You have the ability to change the controller and mod it for your liking. They give you a complete set of extra buttons to add on so you can play other game like street fighter or mortal kombat. It comes with a different D Pad button to put on in case you don't like the one you have. Extra rings for the sticks they are not smooth so you can feel the ridge. This has anti drift thumb sticks witch we all know most controllers will fall victim to this. This has a caring case a long charging cord. But the one thing i have found hard to get use to is the trigger buttons they are a lot bigger on this controller and i seem to bum them more often. I do like how you can adjust the sensitivity on these and you can do it all on the controller when you are playing. The button layout is very nice ant feel is great you can also go on the website and adjust the buttons. Overall a really nice controller i really hope this one last a lot longer than other controllers I've had in the past.

Nothing to complain about. Excellent controller.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am really impressed with this controller. It is extremely customizeable and comes with replacement buttons and sticks. I play a lot of sports and fighting games, and put it through it's paces over the course of several days. It uses a wireless connection via a USB stick that is plugged into the gaming console. It comes with a rechargeable battery built in and with a long USB C cable to either charge it or allow for game play. You can swap off the standard a/b/x/y buttons using the included Allen wrench screwdriver to add a RB/RT set of buttons to the top of the controller. Definitely makes accessing the RB/RT buttons easier, and I found that key presses that required multiple combinations became much more efficient and effective. No lag that I noticed from the controller. I've had challenges prior with wireless controllers with slight lag that led to missed opportunities. Not do with the Victrix. Whether it was driving the basket and trying to perform a vicious dunk or executing a fatality, I felt like the Victrix was as responsive of a controller as I've ever had.

Comfortable & Customizable with Hall-Effect!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like to try almost any game pad that comes out that can connect to Xbox & PC and has remappable buttons on the bottom. Turtle Beach is launching a Reloaded version of the Victrix Pro, the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded Wireless Modular Controller, with different versions for PlayStation, Steam Deck, and Xbox! I had to grab myself the Xbox version to give it a try. Pros: - Hall-Effect Joysticks and Triggers. - Customization to play style with D-pads and modular buttons. - 4 Mappable Back Buttons. - Compatible wirelessly with Xbox and PC. Cons: - Controller is a bit bulkier. Out of the box: The Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded comes with a nice sturdy storage case for the controller and all the accessory parts. The case is well designed to hold everything. Included within the case is a 3m USB-A to USB-C charging cable, different length joysticks, alternative d-pads, USB-A Dongle, and the FightPad alternative button module. Also included is screwdriver for swapping out the module. Modular Buttons: One of the big features of the Victrix Pro is the swappable modules, what allow you to swap out the Joystick+D-pad and Jostick+Buttons with another FightPad, or with each other. This truly lets you customize how your controller feels. I can see this being helpful for anyone who is Left-Handed, as you can swap the placement of the joy sticks without having to remap the whole controller for a more comfortable gaming experience. Software: The Victrix Control Hub is an improvement over previous versions of Turtle Beach programs I’ve used, it looks much more modern and works way more smoothly. Within the app you can customize the configuration of the controller extensively, remapping buttons, calibrating the joysticks, setting limits for the triggers and much more. I always map the bottom buttons to the XAYB buttons, that way I don’t have to move my thumbs of the joysticks for a more comfortable game play. The Victrix Pro provides the most customization I’ve seen in a game pad. Diagnostics helps troubleshoot and identify issues with different features of the controller, providing specific solutions to fixing the issues. This is very helpful for as with all the different features, there can be issues that come up. Support links you to support options like customer service or guides. Make & Feel: Most of the controller is a hard matte black plastic that most controllers use, though the added grips on the wings and textured buttons make it just a little easier to grip. Overall, the controller feels solid and well built. The Victrix Pro is a bit more boxy than other controllers, with less rounded edges and bigger buttons. I thought this would bother me, but in the hand, it feels just as comfortable as any controller, with bigger central and d-pad buttons. I found this helped when trying to bring up a mini map or mark a target in the middle of an encounter, I was able to find the buttons quick and easily. Using it: Playing on the Victrix Pro is quite the experience. Even with the default settings, I could feel the Joysticks were smoother and more consistent throughout the range of motion. Same with he triggers, though with the trigger locks you can control how far you want the trigger to move. It took me a minute to understand how the trigger lock worked: Enable the lock, then pull the switch while pushing the trigger to the desired full pull position, then release the lock. Now your trigger will only go as far as you set it to go. I really enjoyed the bottom button placement, on the side wings of the controller as that is where my fingers naturally rest while playing. This means I don’t have to move my fingers to press the buttons on the bottom and I don’t have to change my grip on the controller as it was designed with natural placement in mind. Conclusion: If you want a full feature gamepad that works with both Xbox and PC wirelessly, with remappable buttons, 4 bottom buttons, and hall-effect joysticks, then the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded Wireless Modular Controller is a solid consideration for you. Plus, the swappable joystick modules allow you to get a comfortable grip even if your Left-Handed or swap out for more buttons if you just need one Joystick! I’m very excited to put to use the new Victrix Pro and will be having it on my desk for the foreseeable future.

The ABXY buttons are terrible…
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.…but the rest of the controller isn’t bad, especially the fighting game buttons! If you’re playing a shooter, this controller is pretty awesome. I like the sticks, the triggers, and the D-Pad! The comfort in hand is also superior and I love the fact I can switch it to symmetrical sticks, instead of off-center sticks. I like the fact it has three profiles that can be switched to and assigned to either Purple, Blue, or Red. I have one profile with my back buttons disabled for normal games like Silksong, or Hades, or Sonic CrossWorlds, and two different shooter profiles where the back buttons and sticks have different layouts, vibrations, and deadzones. When I’m feeling like I need more for a sweaty match, I’ll switch profiles to try and get the edge in a match. However there’s a lot I don’t like with this controller. I really don’t like the Start/Menu and Option/Back button. There’s flat textured buttons and it fits the aesthetic really well, but for me when you’re trying to quickly look at the score it takes more brain power to find than it seems. Which can get distracting in a match. And I HATE HATE HATE the A,B,X,Y buttons. They are SUPER mushy and so mushy you can actually push the button with moderate force and get it stuck under the frame. Look at one of my pictures. It doesn’t break it for some reason, just screams low quality! I was playing Silksong getting intense with my jumping actions and got it stuck and it was super annoying. I was able to get it unstuck super easily, but I have to be more aware of how hard I’m pushing unlike controllers with clicky ABXY buttons. Like the ones you find on gaming mice. If this controller had better buttons, I’d legit be very happy with this controller overall, but with major button mushiness, it’s hard for me to recommend for anyone not focused on shooters. If you play a wide range of games, just be sure to not press down too hard on the buttons. That said, as mentioned at the beginning of this review, the fighting game buttons for some reason are REALLY GOOD! Super clicky, really fast and responsive! It even comes with joystick rings to really help with using the joysticks for fighting games. Not my cup of tea, but an option for some folks out there. I stuck with the flat D-Pad for fighting games. I wish these buttons were also on the regular joystick layout too! It would have been perfect, or at least made the ABXY buttons interchangeable between each module. Like instead of being a two piece module system, instead being a four piece module system. For me this is a solid 4 out of 5 stars for its look and feel and solid shooting sticks and triggers, but loses a couple of stars for the ABXY buttons not being very good, limiting its use cases. But it gains back a star because it comes with all the tools and stuff you’d need in the case that can help you with fighting games, and different stick lengths for shooters and fighting games as well.

A solid pro-level controller
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The past few years I think I’ve tried just about every third-party controller out there and I’ve found that Xbox style are my favorite. I’ve used Xbox controllers to play Call of Duty: Mobile quite a bit so I know the feel of a solid controller. This controller from Turtle Beach is one of a kind and was a nice change of pace from what I’ve been used to. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was the travel case. It’s got the “x” from Victrix stamped on the front and it’s very high quality. When you open it up, you’ll find the controller along with its modular accessories. The controller even comes with a tool for swapping pieces out. It’s a small touch, but the presentation adds to the sense that this is a high-end gaming accessory. Customization is probably the coolest thing this controller has going for it. The controller comes with the two main modules that include the joysticks, D-Pad, and XYAB buttons. There is a third module — the Fightpad Module. I love that you can easily change out pieces of this controller so if a button wears out, you can just order that module and replace it. I also love that you can make the controller your own. The modular design also gives you the freedom to fine-tune your layout to your personal playstyle. Even the thumbsticks, gates, and D-pads can be swapped for different feels, which makes it versatile for shooters, fighters, and everything in between. As far as comfort goes, the controller is a little heavier than some other pro-level console controllers, but it’s not too heavy to use. The grips are textured and provide a secure hold, even during long gaming sessions. All the controls are within easy reach, and the back paddles have a nice placement that doesn’t require you to adjust your grip. The thumb sticks are smooth and accurate, and the triggers have a precise feel with adjustable stops for faster response. Overall, the controller feels exceptionally well built and comfortable to use. Playing with the Victrix controller was quite fun. I thought I had a good range of motion with the joysticks and I really liked the trigger lock function. All in all, the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded is a high-end option for PC or Xbox gaming that delivers on performance, build quality, and customization. It feels premium in every sense.

What sets this controller apart from the myriads of controllers out there is its modularity. Included in the Hardshell case is a torx screwdriver that makes it extremely easily to swap out the components and swap the thumb stick placement by simply turning the module around. Once tightened back down, the controller instantly recognizes the change and just works. What a brilliant innovation I say! Overall, my time with the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded Modular Wireless Controller has been a good one with one glaring exception. The controller does not work 100% like the original Xbox Wireless controller when it comes to being recognized by most games. You must attach the included 2.4GHZ wireless dongle in order to get that functionality. I took a star off for that missing feature. Don’t forget to download the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded App to further customize the controller. If you are into having a professional high quality gaming controller you can tinker with till the cows, come home, grab one today and you will definitely be impressed with its overall quality and versatility.

Excellent controller and excellent design
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Victrix Pro is such a well designed controller. It's clear that a lot of thought was put into every aspect of its design. From the easy to swap components, to the nice case. - Setup Getting started with the Victrix is pretty straightforward. It includes a dongle to plug into the Xbox or a PC. I do wish that it didn't need the dongle, but I understand why it uses it for performance. Once the dongle is in place, you can get the app from the Windows store to find tune controls and test or reassign buttons. I found the app to be pretty easy to use and intuitive as well. Setting dead zones and fine tuning other options was very easy. Once that was set, the controller was ready to use in seconds. - Hardware The real star of the show. The controller itself is excellently designed. The clutch controls to set the stop point for the triggers is a pretty clever design. It took me a second to understand how they worked, but the idea is great for setting the trigger distance for exactly what I wanted. The quick tap to set them to act like a digital button was nice as well. I also really like the swappable components. This is probably the main feature that most will be looking at this controller for, and they are excellent. While I do wish there was some sort of toolless way to swap them, using the included screwdriver in the case isn't all hard at all. And, they were clever to make sure the screws can't fall out. I haven't had any issues of components not being recognized when swapping them either. Even when the controller is on. You can actually see when the components are secured in place while within the app. The different stick gates are a nice touch, and the multiple dpad options are nice as well. The fight stick configuration was one that piqued my interest the most, and I really like using both the + type dpad, and the size button component. The different length thumb sticks are nice options as well, for those that would prefer them. Battery life has been another high point for me. I have been easily getting 18+ hours out of it. I also really like that Turtle Beach sells replacement components as well. So if you happen to wear one out or lose it, you can order just that part. That goes for both sides of the controller. Even though I don't think stick drift will ever be an issue with this controller and the hall effect sticks, it's nice to know that I can replace any piece with relative ease. Overall, this is an excellent, premium controller option. It may be a bit on the pricier side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Pros: excellent modular design, good battery life, nice case that stores extra components and screwdriver, good software, excellent button response Cons: a bit pricey (but worth it), I wish the components were toolless to change

Good grip, better bindings
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This controller has been a hit at our household since unboxing last week. My son and I have had a great time taking turns with this controller and comparing how it sizes up vs a standard console controller. In short there are 2 reasons why this controller is a must have: Customization and comfort. In terms of customization, this controller has the ability to customize everything from bindings to joystick to buttons. Meaning, you can bind, swap and update (nearly) the entire controller to make sure that it fits your hands and gaming style. The additional back buttons can all be bound to gameplay features which adds a competitive advantage against those playing with a standard controller. From a build standpoint the grips and buttons are very grippy. My son mentioned that even in the heat of an online battle where his hands are sweaty, the controller does not lose its sensitivity or gripy-ness. I have never used a controller that ban be tweaked to be this sensitive. This controller also has a USB charge port as well as a mini plug in which makes adding any accessory a breeze. If you are a competitive gamer looking for a top end customizable controller then this is your item. It is build well and provides you with all of the necessary tool to swap or customizable joystick height or buttons.

Easily Customize Your Game Play
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Turtle Beach Victrix controller is a nice upgrade with the look and feel. It doesn't feel cheap, it has some heft to it. It's ergonomic and has good grips so I didn't feel like it was sipping out of my hands. I do wish there was a little more pop with some lighting affects. I thought it was really great to have a modular design, though it will take a little bit to get used to the Fight Pad layout. It would have been great if this was multi-platform so you could swap out the modules for different gaming consoles. Swapping out the modules is really easy though. I like that the little screws don't come all the way out so you won't lose them. I do wish that you didn't need to use a screw driver and that the modules just clipped in and out to make things faster. However it doesn't take a lot of time. I like that there's a lot of other customizations with the different d-pads, rings around the thumbsticks, and thumbstick heights. Another quick adjustment is the trigger press distance. You can tune that to exactly what you want. This is good for going from racing games, where you want more distance for gas, to shooter games, where you want that hair-trigger. For racing games I would of liked a little more resistance in the trigger pull. With shooter games the firing was too fast for me. It was so hair-triggered that I kept accidentally firing. This was very plug and play with my Xbox Series X where I tried out Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite. I really got the accuracy and movement I was looking for with no latency. The vibrations are really loud and rough though. They are not nearly as smooth as the factory controllers. So far this has had great battery life. I love the braided cable it comes with. The hard carrying case looks and functions perfectly, my only issue is that they just give you foam pieces to hold all the interchangeable parts. I wish it was a little more substantial because this doesn't feel like it will last very long if you swap out parts too much. I would recommend this for most gamers. I wouldn't consider this pro grade but it is a noticeable upgrade. You'll get the most bang for your buck if you like to play a wide variety of games but there's still benefits of being able to fine tune one type of game too.

Premium Feel, Packed w/Features, and Built to Last
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I am really enjoying this controller. It works great with my Xbox One S and seems to have excellent battery life. I primarily play RPGs, sports games, and the occasional adventure title. I do not play many shooters on Xbox, so my focus is more on comfort and build quality than ultra-fast FPS response. From the moment you slide it out of the box, the premium feel is obvious. It comes with a high-quality carrying case and includes a variety of swappable parts like d-pads, thumbsticks, and additional buttons. The fightpad button layout is fantastic for anyone who enjoys fighting games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. It was quick to charge, and setup was easy. The included USB dongle got me up and running on my Xbox with no issues. The Victrix software did not install automatically, but I found it in the Xbox store and downloaded it. It adds some customization options, such as adjusting the vibration and rumble settings, which was a nice touch. Nothing groundbreaking, but still useful. One standout feature is the built-in 3.5mm audio jack that supports Dolby Atmos. I plugged in my headphones and the sound quality was excellent. I have been using the controller for over a week and have not needed to recharge it yet. The purple and black color scheme looks great in person. The controller feels solid, and the buttons and triggers all have a nice tactile feel. The triggers in particular have a soft touch that feels surprisingly natural. One major advantage of this controller is that it uses hall effect sensors in the sticks and buttons. This means they use magnets instead of traditional parts like potentiometers, which should reduce issues like stick drift or button failure over time. Overall, I highly recommend the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. It is comfortable, customizable, and performs better than the standard Xbox controller in just about every way. If you are looking for a high-end controller that delivers on build quality and flexibility, this is an excellent choice.

A really straightforward gaming controller!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me tell you about the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded wireless modular controller, which is customizable. It has three customizable modules included with built-in hall effect technology, so you can really get into the game your way. Five-stop hall effect triggers with hair trigger modes allow for quick response in games, but you also get analog buttons. Also includes 11 interchangeable components to game your way. It has a 3.5 mm audio jack with a lifetime Dolby Atmos subscription. It also gets cool to card so you can play wired or wirelessly with a 20-hour rechargeable battery. It's bundled with a nice carrying case and tools to swap out controls and customize the joystick. The controllers are mappable, which makes for an even better gaming experience. You can easily do that through the Downloadable Victrix hub, where you can run diagnostics and updates. The build is really tight, and it doesn't feel heavy in the hand, which makes it favorable for any gamer. Go check this one out; you won't be mad.

Tops in quality, customizability and performance
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a relative newcomer to modern video gaming, I've been amazed at the sheer variety of accessories now available, both from OEMs and third parties. Having grown up in the PlayStation II era I have less-than-fond memories of the aftermarket controllers I had. They were not well made and chewed through batteries like crazy. That's certainly not the case anymore, and although I've gone to the proverbial dark side by switching to the Xbox ecosystem, I am constantly impressed by the quality of the third-party accessories I've played with. That's absolutely the case with Turtle Beach's latest top-of-the-line controller for Xbox, the Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. While the name is a bit clunky, the controller is anything but. And this isn't just any controller: it's a modular affair, with swappable modules and upgradable parts. How cool is that? The Victrix Pro arrived in simple, high-quality packaging, all recyclable with very little plastic wrap to speak of. Even better, the controller and all included parts came neatly packaged in a high-quality storage case, with even the screwdriver neatly slotted in. This not only makes protecting your controller easier (and included in the price), but Turtle Beach's smart packaging means the screwdriver, wireless dongle and swappable modules can all stay in one place and not get lost. The controller itself is well-built from a combination of matte and textured black plastic, with grippy rubber elements where your hands rest. The buttons and triggers feel great and respond instantly with a satisfying tactility. The Hall-Effect thumbsticks glide like butter, and the fightpad's Kailh microswitches have an awesome clicky sound and feel. Suffice it to say, build quality is top-notch. Setup is straightforward; I plugged the wireless receiver into my Xbox One X, turned on the console and the controller, and by the time the system booted up the controller was connected and functioning. The included Dolby Atmos lifetime subscription activated automatically and was immediately available as an option in headset settings. I turned to a longtime favorite game, GTA III, for testing. Although it's not the most dynamic option it's one I'm very familiar with, and I figured if there were gaps in performance or use between the Victrix and the standard Xbox controller I'd be more likely to notice them. Response is as fast and fluid as the standard controller, and the high-quality build feel is immediately noticeable. I don't have many complaints about the standard Xbox Wireless Controllers, but the BFG Reloaded is a step up. I love how smooth the thumbsticks are, with immediate response and a silkiness to their rotation that standard, non-magnetic thumbsticks can't quite match. I can see why serious gamers prefer this controller to your standard fare, especially in games where milliseconds are critical. The triggers have a nice dampened "thunk" to them, but you'll definitely want to use the gray clutch sliders on the backside of the controller to adjust the trigger stops for your particular game. I initially left both triggers on their default/shortest stop, but quickly realized this didn't leave me any room to modulate vehicle acceleration in GTA. After adjusting RT to go all the way "in" I found the same smooth, sensitive action of the thumbsticks translates to the triggers, which are well-weighted and allow for easy control. I decided to leave LT in the shortest stop position to make reversing vehicles instant which seems to give me a least a little bit of an advantage getting out of sticky situations. Turtle Beach includes four mappable back buttons, which is great for flexibility but has led me to inadvertently trigger actions far more than I expected. You might need to adjust your grip a bit if you plan to use these back buttons, which are mapped by default to trigger Y, X, A and B. This default behavior is not made obvious, and the included quick start guide is on the thin side, so I recommend a visit to Turtle Beach's support pages by scanning the included QR code. For better or worse, customization is only available by connecting the BFG Reloaded to a Windows computer and downloading the Victrix Control Hub app. After installing the app the BFG Reloaded was recognized immediately and all customization options were presented. The Control Hub app is pretty straightforward and I had no issues making controller adjustments. I haven't customized a ton, but I have made changes to the aforementioned back buttons to cut down on accidental presses. Controller performance was as fast and flawless on my gaming laptop as it was on my Xbox, and again only required plugging in the wireless receiver to get things up and running. Not gonna lie, Turtle Beach's included wired cable reminds me fondly of my PS2 controllers, and I might have to use it if for no other reason than to relive the nostalgia of being tethered directly to the game console. Even as a kid I appreciated how the direct wire allowed for the fastest, most reliable connection. All told, I'm very impressed by Turtle Beach's latest Victrix Pro BFG Reloaded. Build quality is top notch, performance is seamless and getting up and running is as easy as plugging in the wireless receiver. Sure, I wish the receiver wasn't strictly necessary, but it's hardly a knock against the product. I love the swappable modules which require just a few turns of the included screwdriver to remove. Not only is this great for customization -- and Turtle Beach includes options for this in the box -- but this is a win in the repairability realm, too, allowing for future upgrades or replacements without ditching the entire controller. Combine that with the great compact storage case and the top-tier connectivity and performance and it's easy to give this controller top marks. If you're looking for the best, I'd say look no further!
