The same sound quality I have come to expect from the UE boom and Mega boom speakers over the years. Cons: Subpar battery performance compared to previous model I owned for 8 years. Battery doesn't always charge when you plug it in to charge. Battery life is about 2 hours of continuous use from fully charged to critical battery, sometimes less. Didn't come with its own charger block, only came with a charging cable. Not what I would expect from UE brand.

It is softer and sounds louder. I had no problems connecting it to the app, as soon as I turned it on it connected.I have had my megaboom3 for 5 years and it is still going strong. The battery is still the same, it lasts quite a while. and with megaboom 4 the party lights up. I highly recommend it.

The upgrade to Type-C is a godsend and allows let go of my last holdover microUSB cables - thank god. A little heavy in a carry on bag, but if you wanted to travel with a loudspeaker you understand the weight cost and could do much worse than this. solid connection in a crowded room more than 25 feet away. Can't really ask for more

I am pleased to finally have one. Better sound than my Bose Bluetooth speaker. Easy set up and easy to use. The app works fairly well in using the speaker too. I may purchase a second one so that I can pair them for use throughout my house.

This was a surprisingly difficult decision to make xonsidering all the options. Previously owned two boom 2s and two megaboom 2s and so ultimately went with this as i was familiar with the app and prior performance for my use cases. As mentioned, overall pleased with the choice. But cant help but wonder what some of the other competing products from other vendors and even wothin UE sound like. Price tag for this was the only conn on context of timing for my purchase, as literally every other competing product seemed to be on sale but this one. I do admit a growing curiosity for what a second mega boom 4 linked in stereo would be like, as i really enjoyed that aspect of things from the 2 series i had.
