I purchased this speaker as a gift for my son-in-law. We took it with us on a vacation to Hawaii. It's a fantastic device for the beach. The sound quality is excellent, especially given the compact size of the device. I've been told this speaker is quite ubiquitous in Australia, especially on the beaches,.

Having fun with this little guy... a toy for me, finally. I am giving it 5 stars because it does everything promised...but I will admit I am still trying to figure out how to use it efficiently. You can play whatever music you have an app for on your phone and as long as your phone is no further than about 10' from the device. EXCELLENT sound.

Sound quality - excellent mids and highs, but also nice and full bass that doesn't dominate the mix. The sound quality is top notch at this price point and size speaker. "Outdoor Mode" - removes a little of the low frequencies so you can achieve a less muddy sound when out in the open. And it actually works! Ease of use - simple controls, intuitive operation, syncs and connects very quickly Battery life - I've yet to run it down to 0%, but the box says 13 hours and after using it a few days on and off, I have no reason to doubt it. Took it to a BBQ yesterday and it was on for ~4 hours after having been used at work on and off all week, still over 30% battery left. Build/material quality - this thing feels solid and it's no surprise once picking it up and looking at it that it is water/sand/dust/dirt proof. Not heavy, but has a nice weight to it and quality materials that feel great to the touch. Nothing feels cheap to like a corner was cut for cost savings. Oh, and it floats in water, so no need to have any special extra items to keep it with you. Just tether it to your raft, canoe, etc etc etc...and let it float along side you. Stereo mode - sync 2 of them together simply by pushing the center button on top on each unit, and they handle the rest. Sync'd sound from two speakers...really nice feature. Highly recommended for someone wanting a smaller Bluetooth speaker that still packs a punch in the sound department.
