The speakers built in do the job and is a great option for a gift since you don’t have to worry about the necessity for external speakers as with other record players that don’t have built in speakers. Like I said, the speakers do the job- they’re not amazing. The cartridge on this record player does the job. It’s not amazing. Do not buy this product if you are an audiophile or gifting it to an audiophile.

We’ve found that it’s definitely an issue with the record player. It’s really unfortunate that we can’t play all records. Unfortunately, we are outside the return window so just need to invest in a better player and take this a lesson. I’d recommend other music lovers and enthusiasts invest in a higher quality player.
