Owned this for almost 2 years so heres my review. Very durable remote. Buttons feel good but wish they were a bit more raised. Long lasting charge. Will go for a couple of months of daily use before needing to charge. Again I love that this is slim and this design has been out for while now and does not look like an outdated remote. See pictures below to see how its been holding up.

A must have! The original in the box with the Viper remote start kit is one-way. This remote is two-way it sends you both a visual “flashing green light” and audible “chirp” to indicate that the vehicle has started or shut off.

This was and upgrade and its worth it. This upgrade improves the range.

I think after fixed this device, my car’s battery not remains in charged every morning, So, I thinks that it’s consumpted too much battery during night. You have any suggestions for this. Device is very nice and very useful.

I had to replace it after 2 years. It lasted a while until the battery port went loose. Be careful plugging it in. Overall satisfied with the new one.

The best car mod I've EVER done! This is without question the best car mod I've ever, EVER done! The range on this remote puts the factory ones to absolute, need-my-safe-space-shame! I also LOVE the pit-stop function! I'm in my car a lot for my job and being able to leave the car running while I run in and out really quick is SO important (especially down in the deep-sweaty-South). I am also SO glad that I went with the 2-way, that confirmation is SO nice. This system has SO many features that will make your life easier. This particular remote is solid aluminum and very durable and also has the rechargeable battery. With as much as I use it, I still only charge about once every month or two.

The day before a trip across the U.S., the car alarm system started acting weird. Took it in for maintenance and discovered a wire had come loose. The technicians have always done a fantastic job and noticed I was using an old fob for the system. They discussed the new features of this remote that included a longer range and its ability to use flashing lights to alert me to intruders. I especially like that I do not have to change batteries. I just plug it into the USB port and it charges.

This controller works so much better than the one way remote. It starts right away and is easy to use!!

I purchased the Viper Remote Car Starter in March of 2018. It came with the 1 button remote. I always had a hard time with it. I purchased the upgrade recently. The service advisor paired it for me, and away I went. What a difference! Now I know when car is running, which button locks & unlocks doors. Plus it has longer range. It is rechargeable too, a nice plus. No more worrying about replacing batteries. Works great!

Works great, has the range it claims. Cars, trees, etc. will interfere with the range. Wasn’t too difficult to program to the vehicle, I did it myself in the Best Buy parking lot right after purchase. No problems with locking, unlocking, or remote start if you follow the procedure. Having to turn the remote on to lock, unlock, start is kind of a pain but it’s better than accidentally starting your vehicle all of the time. Has a built in battery that needs to be charged. I have only had to charge it 3 or 4 times in a year and a half. Charging cable is not included but is just a mini usb that I have a bunch of already.

It’s been over 4 years now that I installed the viper alarm. Battery life is awesome lasts a long time before I need to charge. It’s slim and light weight too. I accidently left it in my pants and it got washed and dryed and it still worked after. It’s a tough remote!

Remote start works great only beef is on the remote start does not really clear when it’s running so I upgraded to the lcd screen one love both of them superb range and battery holds charge at least 3months between charges

So the guys that do the install are so nice to work with and know their stuff. This new remote starter has long distance starting and gives you a green light when it successfully starts your vehicle. I had the previous model on my old car that did not give you an indication and this is so much better. Good value, good product, good people

Geek Squad installed the remote starter for my wife but neglected to tell her it had to be charged. When it stopped working she thought it was the remote starter. Luckily, I purchased it for her and knew it had a rechargeable battery. Then it worked again. It works from great distances, probably a mile.

I purchased this remote because it has several light patterns; solid GREEN blinking indicate when the car is actually running, ORANGE blinking when the remote needs to be charged and GREEN/ORANGE indicate your approaching your last few minutes of your 15 minute interval. Such a great product!!!
