This 2017 version TV E65-E1 has High Dynamic Range

Though apparently Best Buy advertised it as not having High Dynamic Range I can confirm to you as an elite member who purchased this TV at Best Buy this TV does indeed have High Dynamic Range built in to this 2017 version. TV is actually good for the price since I can again confirm this has High Dynamic range!

This is a fantastic TV for the price. We needed a larger TV for our living room after moving to a new home but we didn't want to spend a ton. We had a very similar tv previously, so this one made perfect sense. I highly recommend.

    Big Vizio Fan

I've been a fan of Vizio since getting my first 70-inch model six years ago. I enjoyed that TV greatly. So it was a no-brainer this time around when we needed a 65-inch model. I did have a glitch this time. The first TV we brought home had a vertical stripe on the right-hand side about 16 inches from the edge. Fortunately, it was still within the 14-day exchange window. The only hassle was to carry it back to the store for an exchange. This second TV has been excellent. The black background is deeply black, and colors in 4K pop gorgeously. The smart TV features, coupled with DirecTV Now service, means I cut the cord completely. Best of all, it is the least expensive of its class. As mentioned, I'm a big Vizio fan. This is the fourth Vizio TV I've bought from Best Buy, and likely won't be the last.

I was a bit skeptical at first in purchasing a Vizio as my main TV, but after reading consumer reviews and comparing pricing across all brands I decided this TV was a smart choice. This set is not listed as an HDR-capable TV on Best Buy online or at the store, however under its Picture settings (and listed on the box) you will see this TV has HDR capabilities. All you have to do is turn on Full UHD Color, use an HDR capable source, and ensure you are using a high-speed HDMI cable. More recently, Vizio updated the firmware on the E-series TVs to support HDR10. I've no complaints about this TV, the picture quality is excellent especially given it price. I went from a Full HD Samsung LED tv to this, and the difference is night and day. Deeper blacks, brighter colors, and great functionality with the SmartCast app. Love it!

This TV has a great picture and really does a great job when watching Movies or even 4k videos off of Youtube. The only down side that everyone needs to know is that there is no Antenna hook up or digital TV tuner built in. So if you are trying to cut the cords with the cable company and just want to use antenna then you have to buy a few more accessories to make it happen.

    Good display, not "smart TV"

The Vizio display is good at what it does, which is display video on a big screen with high quality and a good picture. This is not a "smart TV" in the traditional sense though, so make sure you know what it can and can't do. It doesn't have built in apps like most smart TVs. It has a built in ChromeCast and that is it. If you want to watch Hulu, Netflix, etc., then you have to cast it from a mobile device. Alternatively, you can use something like an Apple TV or a Firestick plugged into one of the HDMI inputs. Also, there is no COAX input, so if you don't have an HD cable box with an HDMI output then you are out of luck with watching cable. With all that said, it is a cheap alternative to a traditional TV and I'm happy with the purchase overall, just be aware of the limitations before you buy.

Having bought other Vizio's in the past I did not hesitate to purchase this one. I have had no problems with the TV. It is clear and the colors are bright and vibrant. I got this to replace my old 55" Vizio. So far I am very impressed with it.

I like the Vizio brand, good quality, excellent picture....but when I got this the smartcast feature was less impressive than I was hoping for. It works, but even though I knew how it worked it didn't really click until I used it and then it really sank in that in order to use the smart features of the tv my phone had to be used. So I just plugged my fire stick in and used that....but there was a recent software update on the TV and now several of the most popular apps are bulit in. No external device needed (except of course internet service). So what was a TV with great picture but otherwise so so features has turned into a great tv. I gave 4 stars only because there doesn't seem to be a way to add apps beyond what was installed during the update.

This tv had the quality that I've been looking for in a 4K tv and the price that allowed me to get it that day! May have a little less picture quality compared to the $5k Tvs on the market but for the price and size you can't be it.

This is a great display for a home theater set up. Keep in mind it does not have a TV tuner in it however. You will need some type of HD input device. Also the speakers are not that great if you plan to use the internal ones. But you should have some type of external sound like a sound bar for a theater set up at minimum anyway. Also the remote is very simple but you can download an app to control the tv to your phone or tablet.

I had a 50 inch plasma TV for over 10 years and it served our family well. I was wanting to upgrade to a 4K TV for some time but the pricing was still a little to high for my budget. YThen one day I noticed that Best Buy was having a sale on all there 4K TV's at first I was just going to upgrade to a 55", but when I saw this Visio for practically the same price as a 55" I had to check it out. So before I went to the store I did some research and liked what I read. Long story short I love the picture (I no longer have to squint lol) and since the price was under $1K it was icing on the cake. The only issue I have with the TV is that the sound like most TV is not that good so I had to add a sound bar which made a difference to sound quality. I would definitely recommend this system

This is a great screen for someone who is just watching content. The picture is great, but the speakers are just so-so. If you are into watching movies I would definitely get a sound bar with this screen. Something I did not appreciate about it (but in fairness is in the marketing material) is that this is NOT a "smart tv." There is no tuner on this screen, and no apps can be installed. It is just a screen, so if you want to watch amazon prime, netflix, HBO, or others, you will have to have a separate device with those apps. It DOES have a Google-chrome technology built in that allows you to chrome cast anything on your computer, pad, or phone to the TV, so you can transmit the picture from there if you create an account with Vizio.

Bought this TV during Memorial Day Sale event, and could not be happier. I have a PS4 connected to it for Netflix and gaming. It is absolutely fantastic at displaying a great picture and the sound is crisp. I read reviews that complained about having to turn the sound up into the 50's, and this is true, but not a complaint point. Sound goes up to 100, and I've had it at about 75 and it's very loud. The picture is very clear. As an example, we have been re-watching (re-binge watching) the office on netflix. We have noticed wrinkles on peoples faces, noticed a woman has had a "flat nose" the the entire series, and very subtle details we didn't see before on our 55" Samsung. Bang for buck, this has been an extremely great investment so far.

Overall a nice tv, good picture, and a great price. Wish the stand was a bit more sturdy... I’ll just have to wall mount it. I do love that it has 4 HDMI ports and the smart tv is user friendly.

I bought this home theater display after being transferred from Saint Louis Missouri to Germantown Tennessee, I wanted a new set for my new apartment, I do not regret my decision on going with this unit. The price was great, I thought I would have to spend much more to get a 65" home theater display like this, I have not used it to it's full potential yet, because I do not have Internet connected yet, I work many hours, never home, but when I am, I use my new Blu-Ray player (from BB) or with my new converter box (from BB) to watch free channels. The picture is excellent. P.S. I use the indoor flat digital antenna with the converter box to pick up about 20 free channels.

Very easy to set up this unit and I was very surprised at just how beautiful the picture quality was, given the price point of the item. I couldn’t be more satisfied with this television set.

If you are looking for a large 4K TV with HDR at a low cost, this one is definitely it. The picture is clear and crisp and the colors look great. The dimming zones in this size TV really help with the blacks, but they are definitely noticeable during times when the entire screen is black with only certain light elements. (This really only occurs for me during loading screens so it's not a bother during a movie or show.) The built-in Chromecast is nice. The built-in Netflix and Amazon are surprisingly slow, my Amazon Fire TV is worlds faster at loading than the built-in apps. Plenty of connectivity which is a plus for me, I've really enjoyed this tv!

The only downside to this TV so far is that it doesn't allow for a tuner for local channels. It's basically a 65" monitor for other devices. For me, that's perfect. I only use Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, and my bluray player so I have no problem with this whatsoever. The picture quality is amazing! I've been using it for almost two months and have NO buyer's remorse at all! My old TV was a 42" Panasonic HD plasma flat screen from 2006. This 65" is LIGHTER than my old TV which allowed me to mount it on my living room wall by myself. Great TV!

Picture looks as good as my $2,300 set. I'm sure that's because programming for hdr is limited, but that's not changing soon. Is it an OLED, not so much, but for $699 it is a great deal.
