1TB hard drive fills my storeage needs quite well!

i bought this to store music and movies great deal

The product installed with ease and I was able to load all our photos and personal file pretty quickly. This was a good purchase for us. Now when the computer goes down we are safe from losing everything

Excellent device, but be very careful to not move the USB cable accidentally. However if you do, don't follow their advice about reformatting the drive. Shut down the computer, try to carefully remove the USB connection and put it back into the USB port and then power up the computer. This has worked 2 times for me.

This is the second WD external drive I have bought and I really like the software and interface for WD. It makes it simple to do back ups and to store media and photo files. Seamless data transfer.

Does what I need it to do. Sometimes when my computer goes to sleep it "forgets" the drive is there and I need to unplug and plug back in but this is a minor inconvenience. Great value for the money too.

Light and portable, power through USB so no wall wart required. Works well but only basic instructions included in package so plan a trip down the "interweb" for details and features. Box says compatible with 7,8 and Vista and a funky add on sticker says 10. Requires reformatting for Mac OS. Runs fine on my Dell w/7.

Needed to get my 'Stuff' off my old computer, for the new one, and was going to get another one for it any way! Great for having an External Drive, and Backing up, what you never know your going to lose!

This was the second product I purchased for my needs. That first product is now a backup but I can't believe I will ever have to break it out and use it. Honestly, I wouldn't want to. GREAT product.

Solid External Hard Drive. No Set up needed. Windows 10 picked up drivers automatically and presented the drive quickly. Transfer speeds are good using USB 3.0. Solid Purchase, and would recommend.

I bought this when another one I had from another outfit would not work with my newer programs. I had to have one to back-up my new programs. I have used Western Digital gear in the past and found them to be very durable. I will upgrade this evaluation to a 5 star after I have had this one for a decent spell.

This has more memory than I'll ever use, and by automatically backing up my files on a weekly basis, I'll never lose any files again! By the way, my friend and computer guru has the same hard drive.

Large screen, easy to read, responds quickly, has eliminated problems I had before with an old laptop. Have not used it as wireless yet but even the old laptop just replaced a desktop that had problems. Moving up to windows 10 improved a lot from vista and 7 that would not support some of the sites I was using.

I've always been skeptical about product reviews. I'm of the opinion they're not always unbiased and unsolicited. Having said that, I feel this device does not perform as advertised. I'm not a "techie", so I was looking for a device that I could "plug and play." This is NOT it! I asked the proper questions and read about the performance (too much info I couldn't understand), to save my docs, pics, etc...to transfer to my new computer. Now that I've done that, I cannot access or upload the files to the new computer. This is not a user friendly(read novice accessible device). It probably works as it's supposed to but, you have to have more than a little bit of tech knowledge to access your files.

This hard drive is very convenient because it is light weight and in today's fast-paced world, you can pretty much carry all of your data, pics & vids with you, wherever you go. Great product!

I needed an external hard drive to help me move my files from my desktop to a laptop. So far, I've been really happy with the drive. It's allowed me to back up my files and save space on my laptop.

Easy to use, easy to set up, has tons of storage and the companies customer service is awesome! I needed help reformating the drive so I could use on both my MAC and PC and they helped in seconds!
