This was a necessary purchase when my computer "crashed". I am amazed at the recovery of all of my files and emails. I'm very happy with my purchase and the Geek Squad Team who installed it for me.

This does exactly what it's supposed to! It has a fast transfer rate with the USB 3.0 included, and it shows my movies in HD on my TV perfectly. This was a great buy, especially when it's on sale!

Works great! Connect to your computer & follow the set-up instructions. Back-up your computer &/or use for temporary file storage/transport/transfer. Pretty fast, quiet, can set for automatic B/U.

This product does automatic, scheduled backups. I expected it to work a little more like a sub where I could drag and drop. Even with the usb 3.0 it takes a bit of time - longer than I would expect. Good memory storage for the price point, though.

I purchased this to add to my xbox console and it was an excellent purchase. There is almost no latency and no issues with using it for adding to your gaming console. Speeds are incredible.

I have purchased many WD drives over the years and bought this one to backup and restore my DVR recordings when I upgraded my Dish Network receiver. Worked exactly like I thought it would.

I don't use it to know because I must study hardly to pass my examinations.

This External Hard Drive is easy to use. I called their 1-800 number and they walked me through how to set it up for a MAC computer. After that, everything was simple to do the first backup.

This is superb. Easy to change format so you can use it for both pc and mag and not have to reformat every time. I love it and the company's customer service is very helpful and friendly .

I used WD products for a long time, and I never had any problem with them, This unit works well, the USB3 connection is real fast, no any heat during long operation, so it is perfect to me.

After I purchased and used it would not be recognized by my Mac. So I had to reset it up so far it has worked fine. I reached out to WD however they didn't help, they sent me the wrong power cable and when I called them back to send the correct one they told me to send the wrong one back to them.

No power supply required. I connected to my laptop's USB3.0 port, and it just worked. You can download backup programs from the Western Digital website. I'm planning on buying another...

I buy these all the time for my clients when they bring me there machines that have stopped working. back up your data I tell them. most times I can recover it , but sometimes ........

I was looking for a reliable external hard drive to use as my main document storage for a new computer I just bought. It works well for that, perhaps in part because it is a USB 3 drive.

Works great after the x-box unit re-formats the drive. Caution do not us any other chord (USB) other than the one shipped with the drive. That chord makes it USB 3.0 other may not.

Product works well but the installation was problematic. Did not assign a drive letter to it. Thankfully, someone on YouTube had a great instruction video that explained how to correct the problem. All in all I would rate the product as Good. I would rate the YouTube instruction video as Excellent.

Set up was easy and only took a few minutes.back up took awhile but worked better than the Dell back up program on my new computer.woulld buy again .probably a 2 TB Drive next time.

So easy to hook up drive to laptop using USB cable. No need for power cord. No need for monthly subscription to OneDrive where you can backup and create system recovery to the disk.

I use this external drive for my MacBook Pro with Time Machine. It works well and was available at a great price. The warranty is longer than some of the other drives on the market.

I have used Western Digital products for years and have never had any problems. I am using this removable drive for system backup and movie storage. It is fast and works great. Thanks
