I needed more space in a hurry and I needed USB 3.0. This did the trick. Works perfectly well. However, I haven't really tried playing games off of this hard drive.

I use this hard drive on travel with my laptop for music production. It has been awesome for quick boot-up time and can save files quickly for future retrieval.

Excellent external hard drive. This replaced an old drive that I used of backup and it has exceeded my expectations. It backs up all my files in a tenth of the time.

My old external was, well, old, so I got a replacement. All of my externals have been WD, and I've never had any problems. This works well, and I love the color!

I'm happy with this purchase. I was surprised to find it in two aisles of the store with slightly different prices. I did not try the backup software provided.

Bought this drive to use with my Tablo OTA DVR. It worked perfectly and has been humming along since. Play back from recorded shows is smooth and crystal clear.

It works as expected. The software it comes with is probably usefull in a mirror backup of your drive I just use it to back up certain files. Worked good for that.

I have compared this portable hard drive on many websites and the reviews. Bestbuy seems to have the lowest pruce, plus, their quality is always truatable.

Got this external drive to be able to easily carry and update off of the hard drive of desktop, This fits the bill nicely and with USB3.0 does it even quickly!

It is Great External HD for Backup. It Gives trouble though when formatting for MAC. I had tried Mac formatting with different drives with no Issues. But this one was giving Memory errors in Mac. So I decided to use it as backup solution for windows system.

I like that it comes in a variety of colors, so I can keep track of my mobile hard drives from one that contains professional files and the other for photographs.

works good with USB 2.0 iMac. Had a boot problem with a USB 2.0 PC that was probably a power thing. Fixed that with a cheap PCI-e USB 3.0 card for the PC. I would have bought the 3.5" WD MyBook with external power, but my Best Buy only carried the 2.5" external

I have literally dozens of these. My employees use them when working remotely from our office. They perform quickly and flawlessly. Not much more to be said.

The WD 1GB hard drive works great. It transfers files super fast using USB 3.0 ports. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to backup their files.

I was originally looking at getting a usb port, so happy I made the decision to get this tb storage unit. Thanks to a Best Buy representaive in Saginaw, MI.

This is great if you need to back up files and don't want to use a cloud based service or need to transfer a large amount of data from one computer to another.

Can hold far more than one needs but setting up has not been easy. The WD website isn't the most helpful and I'm not sure how often to transfer etc. Some basic instructions would have been the cats pajamas.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do and it works for my Xbox one the only thing is that there is a light blinking always but other than it it's awesome

My husband wanted this for his class. He uses it daily and it allows him to work on things at home, work and school. He just plugs it in and is ready to go.

I got this as an expansion for a new laptop that has a small, solid state drive. The drive is quite small in size but big in capacity. There are larger drives, but 1 TB was plenty for my purposes, and has a fast, USB 3 connection. The price was right, too!
