The product does what you would expect but since there are no instructions for how to download or upload one has to waste time finding out how to do those things.

When the backup said it was complete, I checked the content and only some files were copied; many others were not. I repeated the process and it still missed files.

Looks nice and very convenient. I use it a lot for video storage and have noticed frequent errors. Not sure that it's a fault of the drive or not though.

We can only hope for the best when storing our precious memories on a portable hard drive. They always seem seem to fail when you're counting on them the most

I bought this so I could transfer my files from my old windows xp computer to the new one. It will not convert windows xp files!! I couldnt get it to work and neither could the Geek Squad guy in the store. I tried calling the Geek Squad on the phone but they wouldnt answer my question unless I paid them a further $149. Plus they claimed they didnt work for Best Buy. Wierd???

The item would be good for other uses. I purchased for use in my car, but it didn't work as expected. Would recommend for different use.

Bought in July for sons birthday on November. It died upgrading to Windows 10. Been in shop since middle October. This is a pice of trash!

This product was purchased so the Geek Squad could back up my data and fix my computer. I cannot recommend a product I don't know.

The salesperson didn't tell me that I would have to format it for a IOS operating system. Otherwise once formatted it was all good.

It s been great after the two hours I spent making it compatible with Mac and hp. Wish there were better instructions on setting up.

It's ok. It didn't actually hold as much memory as it stated it's capable of.

I spent more time than I though I would getting it started on my Mac. It was not a plug n play straight-forward experience

this product is only for windows, not compatible with apple. It says it on the label but i didnt realize when i bought it

It stopped working after 1 week, meaning, the computer didn't see the drive when plugging it in. If I had precious memories in there as a single source backup I would be immensely upset. It is small and portable, however if unreliable, what does it matter?

Haven't checked to see if all is accounted for. I would hope that it did what it's supposed to do as an external drive.

ssd is much faster - though if sped is not as important or you'd rather not spend too. much this is the one to get

I can't seem to pull up the files I saved or backed up to this device. When I try to do so, I get all sorts of gibberish on the file header, or I get messages telling me they are protected files to which I have no access. I didn't use passwords or anything else when backing up... a user's guide would be real helpful- not one I have to dig up online, but one I can hold in my hands.

this company makes great HD's, i own many, unfortunately this model dosen't work with XP so i had to return it
