The sales person suggested this item, did not work

Good product for price nothing great or extreme ok

OK, but drive inside is a "USB only" unit, meaning the drive can only be connected to a system using USB. I prefer drives that can be hooked directly connected to a system via SATA cable when diagnostics/recovery are needed--just saying.

So I have both Mac and PC as operating systems on several devices and for some reason this drive will only work with my Mac but not a PC guess mines in a DUD I just wish it worked on my PC that I need to backup all information on..

Very disappointed with this purchase! I asked the Best Buy associate in the store for a Mac backup drive, and he sold me the wrong one. It did not work with Apple's Time Machine. They would not return or exchange it. They said it had to be reformatted to work with Apple products. I went back and they reformatted it, and it still did not work. DO NOT BUY this for APPLE products!!! It is not user friendly. Very disappointed with Best Buy in this whole purchase. Unfortunately we will probably not continue shopping there. They do not correct their employee's mistakes, and there were several, even the reformatting didn't work!

Drive lasted about 15 months...just long enough to be out of the warranty. Really expected a little longer life from this device. Good thing I had a second backup drive

I bought this on sale and it died on me within a month thank God i had a bestbuy protection plan. Replaced the drive with 0 cost due to Geed Squad protection for 3 years.

Tech in electronics stated if I deleted software this could be used for my Mac because all other TB within same price range were sold out. Did not work. Returned.

I was told by an apple representative when i was purchasing my mac book pro to purchase an external hd instead of spending so much more for internal hd space as long as i don't mind having to plug it in when needed. i have to say getting this 1tb hard drive for 49.99 was a steal and works excellent with my mac book pro. all i had to do was format it to mac file format under disk utilities which took only minutes and it was good to go. super fast transfer rates i couldn't be happier!!!

This has never automatically done a backup. Even when I try to manually backup, it doesn't back anything up. I have to drag and drop everything I want backed up.

I bought this thinking I could transfer items from my computer. Apparently I'm either doing it wrong, or it doesn't work as planned! Very disappointed!

I used this as a backup drive and it died within two weeks. The return process was painful. I ended up paying extra to swap it out because they were out of this color and had a different color in the store. I was told they all had different attributes, which is not true. same drive, different color. I would never recommend this to anyone who is a serious professional.

I use this to back up pictures. It does not list pics as thumbnails. Only dates and jpeg info.... which really makes me hate this product.

product works great but wish I didn't have to spend this money to backup broken harddrive. Had enough issues with computer down.

I am not too familiar with external hard drives. There are no set up instructions and finding the information is hard to find.

Needs better instructions as to how to use. Didn't load properly using "Windows 10",

this wasn't compatible for my mac as it said it would be, sad for me, but for other PC's I'm sure it would be fantastic.

This was not what I went into the store for. It was sold to me as a no choice buy to get my computer diagnosed. Then what the "sales" supposedly Geek professional told me they were going to do to repair the problem, they in fact DID NOT DO. so I bought it for literally no reason and my puter is still a poor gaming machine, post Geek Squad upsale and $500 tab just to diagnose.

Could not set up backup program, would not recognize drive. Had to manually drag and drop files to save them.

Switched to a Seagate. All I had to do is plug and play. Excellent product.
