This is a great hard drive for backing up files, especially if you're short on space and don't want to deal with having to plug a power cord into an outlet. It's pretty much as easy to use as a thumb drive, and the capacity for the price is pretty good.

This doubled the amount of space that I have on my laptop and works great.

I bought this as a gift for a friend to upload her photos and documents on. As a computer tech, I use this exact one myself to save all of my important documents and computer images. It has held up for some time and proven to be very reliable.

Good product at a fair price for backing up computer files. Mid-size physically with average storage ability. I would buy again.

I'm not currently using this for data storage, but for transferring data between two different machines and it works very well for that. If the drive were a little faster it would receive 5 stars, but for the price, it's hard to beat. It will eventually be used for storage and I have no doubts that it can handle the task well.

I purchased this brand because I have one at home that works well. I had no problems using this one. Just plug in and use. It comes in three different colors so each of my kids can tell which is theirs.

This is my second Passport Ultra. My first one is for my Time Machine backups of my MacBook Pro and this one is used to store deployment applications for new computers. Compact and fast.

I had a friend who recently graduated and just started his new job in the professional world. I got this as a present for him making it through and he is very pleased with it so far.

First off, there's 2 applications that can be used with this & that's where it begins to get confusing. I'm very tech savvy & this hard drive isn't the easiest to use. I have failed to backup what I needed without having to redo it more times than I can count. If I don't open the correct file, I'll have documents that I can't even open due to how it's saved... It's really frustrating when you have to delete a backup just to get the application to backup properly and actually work. It's great for what it is, but I wish it was easier to use. I like that I can easily store it in a firesafe to protect all my files and mainly all my pictures I take with my Nikon D5200. If I find a better hard drive, I would probably restart this one and use it for pictures only or something simple like that.

Nice to find a product that does what it is supposed to do with no fuss or extraordinary measures. Plug and play and it interfaced with my existing software without a hitch.

I purchased this item when I had to bring my 2 in one Toshiba Laptop/tablet in to Best Buy for Repair. They were able to back up all of my data, with plenty of room to spare.
