We would like to address your issue and explain the context of why the older booster could perform better than our current boosters. First, our boosters were regulated in 2014 by the FCC to be about 1/3 as powerful as they previously were. These older amplifiers were capable of reaching up to 3 watts, meaning that in lower signal areas the booster could do more with that signal. It could essentially reach out and take signal thus making it highly effective in these areas. Concerning our boosters today, ramp that down to a 1/3 of that power and you have what we have today. The booster must have signal in the area for it to work and even then the signal must be a -95 or better on the dB scale for it to work minimally. It does sound like the booster is doing what it can with what it available outside. If you can find a better signal outside by moving the outside antenna higher or to a different side of the house that appears to have more signal, that would be the best practice. I am sorry that you've had to experience a great booster but then be with ones that we create today, but I want to ensure that you're getting the best signal you can with our units. Sorry if the unit was difficult to install, we try to keep the components as easy to set up as possible through instructions. For some it can be tricky especially with one person and going on the roof setting up the booster.

Wrong product for my problem

Without mounting it on the roof I couldn't set the inside and outside antennas far enough away from each other. I'm sure it is a good product, so I shouldn't rate it one star. Should be Not applicable.

We try not to rely on bars as they can be a bit deceiving on what they are measuring. We returned it. Would probably be great for a different location, house size, or signal strength. I recommend the next stronger WeBoost for a home in a rural area. That’s what we returned it for and it works great!
