Because of the limitations, we ended up taking it back. It's too bad because it might have been a good thing to have, but mounting outside, running wire and finding a location that was central was a lot of boxes to check to get it working. We gave up.

We are sorry to see you go! I know that our boosters have worked for many people in bringing signal into their home and they've been happy with them. I am sorry that that wasn't the case for you. I know that people have limitations of what they can do and not do sometimes. Being able to place the antenna on the roof can be hard, especially when you have to point the antenna to the tower your carrier is on. Perhaps you could find a friend or family member to do this and get the unit properly set up for you. We are happy to help with the install as well as far as how to set it up and identify what's the best to ensure you're going to get the best signal you can.

I am sorry that the booster wasn't able to work for you in your area!
The tower isn't as much as an issue as what kind of signal you're getting outside your home on the ground and more importantly where the outside antenna is placed. The outside signal is the deciding factor of what the booster is able to do inside your home. The weaker the signal is outside the weaker the signal will be boosted inside and how much increase you'll see on your devices. In a weaker scenario, you'll have to be close to the inside antenna to notice a difference in signal, even then you may not if the signal is weak enough. It's always best to check with customer support to determine if a booster will work in your area before purchasing.

To finally answer you, we are sorry that the booster didn't work in your area and situation wasn't improved in your home.
I know that the most common problem people have - not necessarily to your situation - is that outside signal strength is too low for the amplifier to boost very far or very powerfully. Sometimes when the signal gets too low then the booster will not work at all, even with green lights.
This could be the case in your area where you stated that you could not get high enough to get a reliable signal for the booster to use.
I sincerely apologize for this issue and hope that there's another solution that would work out for you, whether that's with us or another way you can receive your signal that you need.

We recommend reaching out to us, so we can get signal readings from the home to determine why the booster did not work for your application. As long as there is enough usable signal outside (you can consistently make a call at the antenna site), the booster should work.
