    I still cannot connect with wifi

    I've been trying to connect thus thing to the wifi and it doesn't connect, I already restarted the router, the "smart plug"and nothing, very disappointed.

      Make sure that the Wemo Mini is within the WiFi range of the router. Then, try to uninstall and reinstall the Wemo App. Also, make sure that the router's WiFi is set to broadcast or not hidden and if the MAC address Filtering is enabled, temporarily disable it until the Wemo setup is complete.     It takes a while to figure it all out. The most important thing is to REFRESH the settings so WEMO knows current conditions. This should not be. IRIS was much more user friendly, but they have gone out of business!

    I bought two of these WeMo switches and they are both horrible. I purchased them exclusively to work with my Google Home and half the time Google Home can't connect to them (but it connects fine to everything else in my home). Then after a few days the WeMo switches will just stop working. They wont work with the WeMo app and the only way to fix it is to reset them and setup the app all over again. They are completely useless even with a strong internet and WiFi connection. I'd urge you to stay away and find a different smart switch.

    This product is good, does what it's supposed to do, however it is not compatible with Apple's HomeKit software, so you'll be using an app the whole time. Siri can't help you here....

    I had high expectations regarding using this Wemo SmartPlug. In desperation, I returned the product and purchased the TP Link Smart Plug which worked right from the start (Wemo is finicky about the signal strength through walls)

    WEmo Smart Plugs

    These WeMo smart plugs works well when in close proximity of the wifi router. Sometimes when set to a routine to be on & off, it doesn't work well and turns off & on unexpected.

      That shouldn’t be the case if the rule set is scheduled. You may try checking if the Wemo Mini is running on the latest firmware and try to delete and recreate the rule.     Worked until changed passwords! Reset many times!

    It worked... until we changed WiFi passwords. It will NOT connect again!! We have tried everything!! And now it’s just useless.

    This device was supposed to work with my Alexa. I couldn't get it to connect properly. I had to change my passwords for my wifi, move the device closer.. never worked like it was supposed to...need to take it back to the store.

    Current instructions not available to set up wifi connection. Unless you want to spend 3 hours with tech support troubleshooting, I would not recommend. Too much work for a simple plug outlet. Read reviews on others that connect easily to your wifi. Tech support is very helpful but they start you out at cycling the power and read back the manual to you step by step. Beware, test set up ASAP and return if necessary. I waited for a few weeks to set mine up and troubleshoot now I'm stuck with a useless mini plug for $30.

    Will not work with community WI-FI

    I have a community WI-FI service that is offered to the rest of my dorm. I was not able to properly sync with the device to get it to work. This should be labeled on the package to avoid confusion for future purchasers.

    This is just terrible its easy to setup but its always updating and a lot of times it doesn't responde to the home app or siri

    Hooking up my home for Alexa

    The directions seemed simple but it took three of us to sinc this with Amazon Alexa. Now that it is hooked up I like it alot and will purchase a few more so I can have other things in my house hooked up to Alexa.

    Doesn't sync up with "Smart Life" art device manager app. I'd give 5 stars if it did. Have to have a separate app to manage this device. Works otherwise as advertised.

    I received this as a free add on to my buying a Google Home Mini. I thought it would be a good companion to the Mini, but I was wrong. The Wemo became detached from the Wemo app and the Google Home Mini wouldn't recognize it until I went to the Wemo app and reentered the info. I found out from doing a search that this was a problem with the first production of the Wemo Smart Plug. With the second edition, it supposedly got better. No wonder they were going it away for free, Best Buy was trying to get rid of there inventory to make room for the new ones.

      The Wemo Mini should have a stable connection to the Wemo app and other 3rd party devices after the setup. You can try to reconnect the Wemo Mini to Google Home using a different mobile device and, make sure that its firmware is updated as this fixes some issues.

    Wemo has had two updates on a previous purchase. One took over 9 hours and another took three days. You can’t stop once it’s updating which makes it inoperable. Not good while you’re on vacation.
