    They work well but lose WI-FI at least once a week and must be re-set. All my other smart devices have no problems.

    The app is annoying to set up and link with the Google home app but after that it works good for a smart plug

    I made a timer through the app so the light I have plugged into it will come on at certain times of the day on certain times. If I go into the app to turn the light on outside of those times it always says WEMO is offline, and when I go to reboot the plugin it works for a little while and then stops working again. It requires a lot of attention for something I didn’t want to spend a lot of attention on.

    I had it for a while then one day it's spontaneously starts burn and strong smell of smoke come out of it. Fortunately I was standing right next to it

    This isn't the first "smart home" item in the home. I checked various smart plugs and decided to start with WeMo. The App and Plug itself are fine but it constantly loses connection. I have to remove and re-add the device multiple times. Internet signal is strong and in the same room. My other connected items have no connectivity issues so I think the WeMo plug has the issues.

    I have 2. One works, the other does not. Tried to exchange. Best Buy’s return policy is awful-only 14 days, leaving me to deal with the manufacturer.

    Did Not Synch

    I returned this product after multiple attempts to synch to my wifi. I read the help articles, called Wemo tech, and my own A/V installer. At least for my system, synching was not possible. Wifi requency and VPN were discussed as possible reasons. I purchased the same style of switch by Kasa and had a much easier experience synching.

    I bought this to use for an extended hotel stay but perhaps because of the wifi security there I couldn't get the smart plug connected.

      Wemo is not compatible with Enterprise networks and cafe networks. It's possible that the hotel is using a business class device with enterprise security in providing Wi-Fi to its clients.

    Would never connect

    I tried everything possible (multiple times) to get this thing to connect and it never did. Tried resetting firmware, different outlets, and nothing. The Amazon plug, on the other hand, connected instantly and without hassle. Wish this would have worked because it's much less expensive than the Amazon equivalent.

      Once the Wemo Mini has been set up, it should not reset by itself. Make sure that the device is properly plug-in to the power outlet and its firmware is updated to fix some issues.

    I will be returning it because its not working correctly. I do not if its the item that's defective but pulled in at different outlets not working.

      This is an odd behavior for the Wemo Mini. Make sure that the "Remote Access" of the Wemo app is enabled so that you can access your Wemo devices outside of the network.

    Doesn’t work well at all

    The setup is “simple” but takes many many tries. Overall took a couple hours before it would cooperate with its own app, let alone google assistant. After setting up it seems to only work when it wants to with google assistant. I have other devices set up with my assistant but this is the only one that it has issues communicating with to operate.

    I had high hopes for this device but the setup process was horrid. Trying to get it to connect to the app so I could complete the setup was near impossible.... And even when I did get that to work, I could never get it to connect to my home network. I spent over an hour trying with this device and ended up returning it.

    Wemo app unlinks from google account on occasion. Works 95% of time. We use ours through Google Assistant.

    Set up takes a while and then sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Makes me miss the old analog timers for when you are away.
