Much needed device

For TV sets plugged into the Wemo Device, it will remove power from the television once you turn it off using the Wemo App. Since your television is a digital device, you may need to use its remote control to fully turn it back ON. Looking for other options

They lose their Google home connection and I have had to reconnect them 4 times. This time, I need to delete everything and reload them in hopes they may work again I am now actively looking for something else that is dependable.

Loses internet connectivity after a couple of days

However it will loose internet connectivity (web access) after a couple of days. It will still work on the wifi (local). It can be reset by unplugging but if you're away from home it's not possible. Haven't contacted WEMO, however, similar posts on the web suggest this is a known problem for quite some time.

A little confused

Overrated

Well, it’s useless for that function. It allows me to turn the tv off but not on. If I turn the tv off using the device, I can turn it back on with the remote. Unless!!

The Wemo Mini is simply a power switch. When you turn it ON, it allows power to flow to any device that is connected to it but, some devices, such as televisions, will not automatically turn back ON when Wemo is turned ON. This is because these devices have digital switches and, they are either ON or in standby mode.
When you turn the Wemo ON, it supplies power back to your television, which will then go into standby. You will need to use its remote control to turn it back ON. You can still use the Wemo Mini with other appliances such as lamps, heaters, or fans.

Not Thrilled

The Geek Squad guys had difficulty getting them to sync with Alexa and now, a few days after they were here, two (of six) no longer are accessible by Alexa ("I don't know what went wrong" says Alexa). If I had to do it all over again, I'd look for another product to operate lamps.

Undependable and Useless

The first time we had a power outage the outlet did not turn on and did not connect to the internet rendering It unreachable, uncontrollable, and in effect doing the exact opposite of what it’s purpose is - to provide power to whatever is plugged in. Since our surveillance system was connected to the Wemo plug (that’s what we bought it for - so we could power cycle the surveillance system while away) it remained down and we were unable to monitor our home for the duration of our trip. After searching online we discovered this is a common problem that customers report. We are returning it to Best Buy and will hopefully find a product that does what it’s supposed to and not the opposite.

Unreliable

Factors such as an outdated firmware could possibly affect the setup process. Making sure it’s up to date, and disabling/re-enabling the Remote Access feature on the app might help.

Very disappointed !

She can't get them to connect. At first she thought that maybe she got a bad one. She is on her third one and still no luck. She's over it. Very disappointed !!

Returning could not get to work

2.4 GHz ONLY

The router is dual band only and you can only connect the Wemo on the 2.4 GHz frequency. For $30+ this should work with modern dual band routers. Shame on Belkin.
