    I was not impressed with this device; it would continuously lose connection to my wireless, and would also be a pain to reset.

    The app is clumsy

    when i first purchased this i thought it would be a simply setup but it turned into a nightmare quickly because without directions to turn off the wifi on your android device that you couldnt setup the plug. This information was not on the app nor the actual website. I had to scour the forums to find out why it wasn't connecting. Even after setting up it doesnt work with Logitech remotes which was the main reason i purchased this device.

      Setting up the Wemo Mini Plug doesn't require you to turn off the WiFi of your phone. You just have to connect to the plug's SSID before and launch the Wemo app. After completing the setup process, you'll have to reconnect to your router to control the device through the app.

    Not Good if You use a Multichannel Router

    It good when it works. Has connection issues with my home app. Randomly, some of the plugs will show as unresponsive in my home app for no reason. This happens a few times a week. So if you place the plug in an outlet behind big furniture, it’s a pain when you have to reset it. It is not compatible with a multichannel router, only the 2.4 channel.

    This app only works sometimes, when it does work it don’t always find the wemo’s I have, I have 3 and rhey all are within 15 ft of wifi, 1 is only 2 feet away from wifi, I have a mesh system wifi and cable internet with 150 speed, as far as I am concerned I will never buy this product again, its not dependable

    Stopped working after 2 months

    Not easy to set up

    Hard to set up. Instructions do not provide clear enough instructions to be able to set up for novice users. Lost electricity and had to call support. Took 1 hour on the phone twice to get it set up again. None of the steps were in the instructions and the rep even said it was more advanced set up to get it to work. Not truely plug and play.

    I have used a few different brands of "smart" plugs and I have to say that WeMo is absolutely horrible to setup. I just got a new wifi router, and the app on my iPhone never works. I have spent 1 hour trying to setup two plugs, and I'm very tech savvy (it's my job). I will never purchase another WeMo product again. Spend your money on a device that works right.

    Apple home integration

    Easy setup and operating using Apple Home. Great addition for non smart devices such as lamps and Christmas light. Supports automation. Much smaller and does contain bugs linked to the older models

    Recently I'd purchased two WeMo Smart Plugs at a great low price from Best Buy; I was very disappointed to find out that they don't work with my brand new $300 plus ARRIS Modem-router. (Items are not compatible. Can Best Buy & WeMo fix this issue?

    I’d avoid this product

    I’ve had wemo in the past and it worked great. However this product not only would not connect to the internet no matter how close I put it, it did it on 2 separate items. I returned the first and tried a second time. Same problem. My internet meets the requirements with security and what’s asked for but it just wouldn’t connect. I returned again and got the netgear.

    Auto disableing

    I wouldnt suggest these I bought these for my aunt who is in a wheel chair and thought these plugs would be good for her. These things keep disabling themselves and I have to go over there constantly go fix them, so I would bot suggest these spend the extra money and get the amazon ones or the wall switches.
