      Make sure that you are using the latest version of the Wemo app and, you can try to relocate the Wemo Mini closer to the router might help with setting up the device.     Very difficult to set up. at least with an Android. Ended up returning.

      The Wemo Mini should be easy to set up and, the Wemo app should work with Android 5.1 or higher but, we could have tried to use another mobile device or uninstall and reinstalled the Wemo app for isolation.

    Not Easy Setup

    Initially, I wanted to use this wifi plug in for my kitchen TV. Your suppose to plug it in and then hook it up to your wifi. Well, it wasn't that easy. Google assistant app wasn't playing well with the Wemo app and neither could "see" each other. Took back to Best Buy. Didn't have time to reverse engineer this product!

      Setting up the Wemo Mini Smart Plug should have been easy using the latest version of the Wemo app. However, we could have tried to use a different mobile device for the setup and made sure that the 2.4 GHz band is broadcasting.

    Not quite what I expecting

    I was needing one of these for a lamp in the room and I was pretty disappointed because the instructions look easy but it is still incredibly difficult to hook to the Wi-Fi I don’t know if it something I was doing or I have a malfunctioning unit even had my son try and we still cannot get it connected

      The Wemo Mini should be easy to connect it to your 2.4 GHz band. However, you can try to relocate the device close to your router as physical obstruction can interfere with the setup and, make sure to use the latest version of the Wemo app.

    Too complicated

    Not sure if it’s just my WiFi setting or electrical circuit or google home set up but these are a pain to operate. Would have to manually power the switch on to wake up the device in order to use voice activation to turn on the lights. Definitely not convenient.

    I have a lot of smart home equipment I've purchased over the years and I can emphatically state without any doubt that Wemo is the crappiest most difficult to setup garbage I've purchased. While their hardware might be decent, the software is hot garbage and a big reason for my issues.

    The app for setup is outdated and impossible to use. I tried to set it up with an up to date Samsung and an up to date I phone and both were unable to set up the wemo smart plug for to all of the hoops the device makes you jump through to do a simple set up.

      If you’re using an outdated Wemo App, we recommend to uninstall it and download/install the latest version from Google Play or App Store. Also, check if the 2.4GHz network is set to broadcast as the device may have difficulties in connecting if it's hidden. Make sure as well that it gets an optimum connection, if not, try moving it closer to the router.
