Works great! Now I need a fan that will work.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got the Wemo - Mini Smart Plug to control an oscillating fan in my living room. The goal was to place the fan out of reach. Alas my fan has a digital switch that doesn't allow me to use it this way. The fan works just fine, but you have to use the power button (or remote) to turn it back on. It can't be turned back on by simply supplying power to the fan. The hunt is on for a new fan.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The first WEMO couldn't connect with my Wi-fi,so I exchanged it. Replacement connected fairly easily. The instructions could be a little more detailed,but in the end, it was fine. I have not yet connected it to the ECHO Dot,so I can't comment on that. The phone app is good,and makes it convenient to turn the light on/off from anywhere in the house.

As a result I have several wi’fi hubs scattered over my property that are connected wirelessly. For some reason the hubs loose their connection to the network sometimes. They only require rebooting to correct the problem so I use the WEMO mini to accomplish that. So far it is working great. Thanks WEMO
