This Compactor lasted 18 months. Then, 3 parts just fell off. Poor, Poor Workmanship. Also, Best Buy told me on purchase this was covered by their Total Protection Plan for 24 months.NOT TRUE.Read the fine print-"Compactors not Covered."

everything came well and works good. The only issue is that this device does not have a compact mode which compresses and holds the compressed material down. It will only go down and compress, and then return back up to the top.

My old Whirlpool trash compactor was 32 years old. It stopped working so I ordered a new one which was backordered for 9 months. My old one started up again but I kept the new one on order. I now have the new one and I must say, they don't make appliances like they used to. This one is much lighter weight and tinny and looks very fragile but is nice a sparkling clean so I will keep it. I just hope I have as much good luck with this one as I did the last one but I doubt it.

Good value for the money. Only product I could find that worked for me -- 12" trash compactors no longer available for reasonable price, but this free-stander with finished sides was able to fit the space without looking odd. Very high capacity.

We recently remodeled several rooms in our old home to put on the market. Remodeling the kitchen was a great improvement in the value of the home. We had it on the market for less than 2 days and had five offers. The trash compactor was old and installing the new one from Best Buy was a great choice.

Good product with the push button to compact the trash. So much better than the compactors with the pedal lift at the bottom which tends to get stuck. Compactor is on rollers but stays well put.

I do not like this compactor at all. I thought about trying to return it or get credit so I could buy something else, but I did not want to take the time or trouble to deal with the problem. I needed a compactor that was "stand-alone" and as most of them are built-in, I did not have much of a choice as to what to buy. I did not realize when I ordered the compactor that it does not have a "heavy pack" switch as on the Internet photos, I could not read the switches on the outside of the machine. I need to use it at the end of a island and the back is not finished, but am certain that would be expecting too much. It did not come with a carrier for the bag inside the compactor or with an area for deodorant. I've used compactors for many years and am very unhappy .

I love this item. It has reduced trash from four bags to two each week.

I know this works great as I've had one before. I was originally told it would be in May 4th, then told it would be delayed until May 10th. Could someone please explain the delay.

Love my compactor. We’ve had 1 in each house we’ve owned. Reduces trash and number of times to trash receptacle.

Exact replacement for 20 yr compactor. BB sent emails at every point in the process through delivery. It did take a long time, but it wasnt due to BB and they kept me totally informed. Oh, and the price was competitive.

I have no idea as the day after I ordered it (Dec 31) I got two emails...the first said thank you for your order and the second one said your order has been delayed we expect to have it on March 10th.
