    Don't Buy It!

Don’t buy it. It’s a whole lot of description of ‘features’ of what it does, but it doesn’t do it. My first dishwasher broke and I couldn’t find a replacement part, so I bought a 2nd one and it worked terrible. After putting up with for 2 years, I bought this model based on the reviews. It works just like the 2nd model I bought a few years back (the 2nd model is not the same brand name or model that is listed here). So mad! It can’t clean silverware, glass or any food that is ‘stuck on’. You have to pre-rinse EVERYTHING and, even then, it does not always work. Any dried food will not come off completely. I bought the stainless steel interior because it is reported that it dries the dishes faster. The interior gets very hot when washing, and it runs for a VERY long time, but the dishes are still dirty and I constantly am rewashing silverware. I overlooked the fact that there was no timer on this model so you have no idea how long it will run on which feature you set it on. I’m attaching pictures of the CRAPPY JOB it does after using it. It was difficult to capture the glass dish, but the blurry part on the glass is the debris the dishwasher did not get off. I’ve spent about $1,300 on dishwashers in the last 2 years, to still have dirty dishes. This is another overpriced, over hyped product. So, unless you need a dishwasher that can clean beyond coffee cups, keep shopping. I now have to pay this piece of crap off and put up with crappy dishes (which is what I just got done doing). The silver ware I am posting is AFTER I ran it thru the dishwasher.

So, this isn't so much about the product as about the delivery and install. The guys that delivered it were fine, the process was not. So, here goes. We ordered this with the installation and obligatory install kit. Apprently the hose in the kit wasn't long enough and so because the delivery/install people aren't given additional items that they might need to install, they could not/would not install dishwasher with existing plumbing.(Liability). Further, unless you have a direct path to said plumbing, no fishing, no install. Custom cabinets - no install. This has sealed the fate of my relationship with Best Buy. I will no longer purchase anything from them again. There is no mechanism to have a needed part run out to site. There is no mechanism to discuss options. Only yes or no. Here's your item, accept or decline. Install it yourself or whatever. I will be cancelling my accounts and walking away. There are plenty of other places to purchase from. I will be using them.

After searching many stores, and reading numerous reviews, I visited Best Buy, and decided on this dishwasher. Since it was installed 2 weeks ago, we have been very happy with it. We love the sleek stainless door design, it seems very fingerprint resistant, and looks great with our other Whirlpool appliances. This dishwasher is amazingly quiet; the only way that we know it's on is the lights on the door, and the sound of water when it drains. I really like the stainless interior, and the location options for the silverware tray (we prefer on the door.) The upper tray is excellent also; adjustable height, two of the rows can be lowered for bigger dishes, and there is also a rack to hold stemware in place. No problem with wet dishes afterwards, when using the Heat Dry option. Wish Whirlpool offered more than a 1 year warranty; I took the Best Buy 3 year extended warranty.

Beautiful, quiet and has 1 hour cycle

    Posted

Yep that one hour cycle is a real winner when most dishwashers now take 2 to 3 hours. This one can take that long too if you want but why bother. Mostly drying time anyway. Open the door and let em air dry. Internally this is pretty much identical to the Whirlpool dishwasher I bought more than 10 years. Well except this one is stainless instead of plastic. And cost about the same. After losing the control panel for the second time on my old one, I figured I might as well buy a new one. Quite the bargain -- about the same price as 10 years ago but nicer stainless inside and out and much much quieter. Just be careful opening the door during a cycle. Crack it first unless you want a shower. And dont forget to hit start again to resume. The single light on the front is a nice touch. Blue when washing, red when drying, white when done. Simple. Elegant.

    Cleans dishes and is quiet

So far so good. Cleans the dishes like its supposed to do and does it very quietly. We can actually run the dishwasher while watching tv now. The sound coming from the kitchen sink as the water drains is louder than the running dishwasher. Only complaint so far, the very first load with dishes (after the test run with no dishes) resulted in a broken glass. The break occurred at the base where the glass is the thickest at around 3/4 of an inch, not at the top where the glass is thin - very strange. It was a break that would occur when temperatures change abruptly. Other than that, no issues.

    Already Broken After 2 Months

I have owned this dishwasher not even 3 months and the top rack is already broken!! The right guardrail is broken so the rack falls off on that side and has bent the left side guardrail. Also, we run the dishwasher every evening so we don’t leave dirty dishes in it for too long, but the dishwasher has a bad odor that won’t go away no matter what I do. Very disappointed as I puchsed this dishwasher with a whole appliance package and spent a lot of money. I have contacted whirlpool warranty and they are sending someone out but I have to wait 2 weeks and it’s up to the 3rd party company whether or not it is covered under warranty.... it’s not even 3 months old!!! If it’s not covered, I’ll be charged a $135 service call fee plus whatever it costs to fix it!!

Minimum height fit into 33.6inch height and looks

    Posted
    mike

Hello all, Just wanted to share that we were able to fit this dishwasher into a counter height of 33.6inch. That is the lowest height it can go is 33.5 inch so our was very snug but slip it fine. If you are looking for a good dishwasher, this is it!! just need to take the rear wheels off and the two front pegs to make it fit. make sure your floor is even from front to back. Looks great after it is installed. One last thing, if you have an old air gap for dishwasher, you might want to replace it as the old one may not have a wider tube for water flowing out from the drain. Our was old and it overflow from the top. Turned out the tube is short and narrow so that caused it! Nice dishwasher. Haven't tested the cleaning yet but will add to the review later!!

Bought this after our Kenmore died after four years. Did a lot of research and it was between this and a Bosch. We preferred this since it seems to have more space inside and also has a Heat Dry setting, which gets everything pretty dry (except the very tops of some coffee cups will still have a little water). We use dish-washing tabs from Sam's Club (as opposed to Cascade or Finish) and have put dishes in with dried on food and everything comes out nice and clean. Have only had this for about a month, but we have to run it just about every day (five people in the house). We can also run it while watching tv and barely notice it. So far, no complaints.

Starting at the beginning, it was easy to install and came with great instructions. It is only 2 racks and my previous one had 3, but I only put silverware on top rack of the old one. With this one, the silverware basket is on the inside of the door, and it works really well. Now I have more room for bigger items on the top rack than I did with the previous one. I also noticed the silverware basket helps keep the sound down. It runs very quiet. I ran it once without the silverware basket and I thought something was wrong because I could hear it running for first time. Dishes always come out clean. I had so many problems with my previous one, and was worried about picking the wrong dishwasher, but this dishwasher has run great!

I bought this less than 5 years ago when I upgraded me kitchen. It cleans well for the most part. Like other reviews, I have to rewash dishes despite a pre-rinse. It's started leaking the past few months. I now have to replace my hardwood floors as they now buckle in front of the dishwasher. We have learned our lesson with Whirlpool. 2 stoves stopped working just after the warranty expired. My French Door fridge has ice build up in the back and will quit making ice. Washer stopped working after 3 years. Now, the dishwasher. I'm upgrading to Samsung and LG products. FYI, Kitchen-Aide is owned by Whirlpool.

For our new washer, after two weeks, the top rack squeals terribly when opened. We've also noticed that even though we are pretty good about rinsing all the dishes before loading them, there have been a few dishes that come out dirty. I've seen streaking in the interior even though we have a water softener and use rinse aid. I love the exterior, the options, and how quiet it runs, but I'm really concerned about the negatives that we have seen in a short two weeks of owning it. We might have to return it, because who wants to deal with a new appliance with issues at this cost? What a pain.

This dishwasher is easy to operate, and I like it better than my past LG for the interior design for loading. The only part I don't like is the way silverware basket is placed. You can attach it to the door (where it will lay flat-- doesn't seem practical when loading...) or attach it to the lower rack. When attaching to the lower rack, you need to be very precise on how you set it on the plastic bars. If not, it will fall and dump. It has a nice handle to lift up to empty your silverware, so you need to replace it-- carefully-- when you unload. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Whirlpool has never failed me. This dishwasher is one of many Whirlpool products I've had the pleasure of purchasing. I actually bought it as an open-box and I'm completely satisfied. It washes all my dishes right the first time! It's very quiet and I don't have to hand dry everything after its done. My wife typically turns it on before we head of to bed and it's exceptionally quiet......I only know it's running sometimes because of the lights that are lit on top of the machine. We got lucky and found it at a really good price. Again, Whirlpool didn't disappoint!

This may not be the quietest dishwasher out there of have the most gee wiz features but it does the job and has some important features even the most expensive ones don't. The most important being a 1 hour wash cycle option, for those who dont want to wait 2 or 3 hours for clean dishes. There's no visible controls out front but the small single LED light tells you all you need to know. Blue for washing, red for drying, white for done. Simple elegant. Looks good too, with SS inside and out. And the interior design is flexible with a drop down top shelf and silverware baskets that can be mounted on the door or inside on the lower shelf.

I had to replace an LG after only being 3yrs old because the gasket of the bottom door could not be replaced unless you replace the whole door skin costing about $300. I looked at the bottom gasket on this unit and it looks to be easily replaced, or I am hoping so. These manufacturers got you by the (you know what) and now force you to buy a dishwasher almost 3-5yrs. This is unit is nice and quiet, just hoping it gives me 10yrs. Little pricey but it was built in the US so we shall see if it holds up to the wear and tear with QUALITY built sticker it had on it.

My brother-in-law mentioned to me they had recently bought a whirlpool dishwasher to replace a Bosch they had. He said the whirlpool was the quietest they had ever had. So when we were ready for our dishwasher I was willing to consider a Whirlpool brand. My husband found this one on sale at Best Buy and we loved the price and the appliance. It is truly quiet. It cleans very well. I like to use the slots in the silverware racks and found half of the slots in this one are too small for my flatware. I have silverware baskets from our old dishwasher which will hold my flatware and use them instead. That is my only complaint.

We have used our Whirlpool dishwasher for more than two weeks and are very pleased with everything about it. The Geek Squad installer (Gilbert) came on time and completed the installation quickly. He completely cleaned up when he finished. He fully explained operation of the dishwasher and discussed successful dishwashing techniques. We have been following his recommendations and our dishes come out perfectly clean. This dishwasher is amazingly quiet! Our technician explained the dishwashing process would take longer (and it does), but the machine is so quiet we don't notice. We are completely satisfied with our new Whirlpool dishwasher.

This is a nice quiet dishwasher for the money. When it first used this dishwasher, I had to check several times to make sure it was on, it was so quiet. I replaced a 16 year old dishwasher with this one. I chose this Whirlpool one from the reviews, price and the stainless steel interior. My other dishwasher’s interior was difficult to clean as it was white plastic. Over time it was more difficult to remove the grime. The stainless wipes clean. I would have liked a bit larger silverware holder but it will do. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.

Got our new dishwasher delivered 11/30/2017. My wife received it. She said guys were nice. Brought in the garage where we wanted it, took off the box and my wife inspected. Looked fine. When I got home I inspected inside and out. Found dent inside the back wall. There is a dent from the outside that is visible inside. It doesn't seem like it will interfere with anything but will be there forever. As long as it doesn't cause a problem or leak it should be OK.

We are very pleased with this dishwasher! It looks so beautiful in black stainless! It is so quiet running that you need to be right next to it to even hear a tiny bit of operational noise!! The Best Buy sales representative demonstrated its ability to block out noise by placing his cell phone in the dishwasher while it was playing quite loud music and then shutting the door. It blocked the noise during that test at the store. And it's that quiet in our home as well. It has really cleaned our dishwater and glassware well too!! Great appliance!
