Good: Seems to clean well. Operates quietly. Holds plenty of items. Bad: First one arrived damaged in good packaging that showed no signs of damage on the outside. Must have been packaged damaged. BestBuy was swift to replace, kudos there. Does not dry at all unless you use a chemical rinse, and not completely if you do. My old one dried everything completely with no chemicals.

When our old dishwasher conked out, we did a lot of research before choosing this one. It has several choices of wash cycles and options; however it's up to you to decide which cycle you want to run depending on the load - how dirty, pots and pans, or just a quick run for lightly soiled dishware - you need to make the right choice, or your dishes may not come out as clean as you want them. This model has a removable filter which you must pay attention to. I recommend checking it as often as possible, as if there's junk caught in it and you run another load through, that junk is apt to end up on your dishes at the end of the wash. It also catches grease in the screen, which needs a scrub with some dishsoap and a small brush or toothbrush, both inside and out. The steel finish looks sharp in any kitchen, but be aware it'll show every spot and splash as shown in the first photo; be sure to buy the right kind of cleaner specific for stainless steel. Photos show before/after cleaning.

I am very happy with this dishwasher. It is quiet and washes well. Cycle time is a bit long (3 hrs) and not too many options, but overall no complaints about the washing. However, this is my second completely stainless dishwasher and the finger prints on this one are crazy. I am literally polishing it everyday. Not sure why that is.

We read a lot of reviews and the positives outweighed the negatives, so we purchased it. Its quiet and cleans the dishes great, very spacious and easily adjusts.

Everything is great about this washer - except it wasn't until the first wash that we realized that one of the interior drawer clips was broken.

We have owned this dishwasher for approximately one month. We are very happy with it so far. On the plus side, it is ultra quiet when compared to our previous washer. We can sit in our living room (the couch is about 15 feet from the dishwasher) and easily watch TV or have a conversation while it is running without any trouble. Also, the dishes come out very clean...even if you put them in without a thorough pre-rinse. If I had any negative remarks, it would be two things. First, the wash cycle can be quite long...a full wash with hot cycle, sani-rinse and dry is 3.5 hrs+. There is a 1 hr cycle option but I'm not sure how clean the dishes get. The other negative is that the top rack doesn't get fully dry, nor does the walls of the washer. I do think that this washer comes in an all stainless steel interior option...if I could do over, I would get that one. All in all, it's an easy recommend for this very good product.

I really like this dishwasher. At first I was a little hesitant to choose this one because the price was so low. However, I considered the fact that my last dishwasher purchase was less than four years ago and I spent over $1,000 on a Samsung that never really worked well and ultimately broke completely in about three and a half years. After checking other reviews and seeing how well this one rated I decided to purchase it. I'm very glad that I did too. It is easy to load and has a lot of space. It also has several different cycles you can choose from and is so quiet when it runs, I can't even hear it in the next room. The best part is it cleans the dishes so well. They come out dry and spot free. I would definitely recommend this dishwasher to anyone who is in the market for a new dishwasher.

For the money ($400 or so, Nov 2014), this has been a pleasent suprise. As others have alluded to, it's very quite to operate, and cleaning is fairly well for basic dishes, such as plates, cups, and bowls. Spots seems to be an issue, even with jet dry on clear glass. Installation is fairly simple, capcity is adaquate, though, the plastic wheels on the dish racks bother me a little. They are fine, but longivity is questionable. The 1 hour clean is good for a light load, but the average clean cycle is 3h. Overall, it's a good buy for the money and I can't see how a more expensive washer would yield any better results with cleaning given how dishes are different between households.

The dishwasher fits lot of dishes inside. It is also very quiet. My husband and I have been amazed at how quietly it cleans. It also tells you exactly how long each cycle is and how much water it will use. The cycles are very long but it does have a 1 hour cycle which i use most often. The dishes are always clean and the glasses have no water marks. Great Dishwasher. Im very happy with my purchase.

After researching dishwashers, we decided this was our best choice for Whirlpool. We have had such success with Whirlpool appliances, so we decided to stick with what works best for us. The dishwasher is much larger on the inside than we thought, and what is so nice is how large pots and crockpots that weren't able to fit in the old dishwasher now can - with room for many other items! The adjustable racks are great; the utensil holder that attaches to the door leaves more space for more items in the bottom rack. We have had no issues of our dishes coming clean, but I do rinse all particles from the dishes before they go into the dishwasher. Great dishwasher for the money spent!

Our 15 year old dishwasher sprung a leak and we did not think it wise to repair it, so we began looking for a new one. As you might expect, we wanted to avoid all of the things we did not like about the old dishwasher in the new one. This dishwasher fits the bill perfectly. Our most important concern was noise. The old dishwasher could only be run at night while we slept because it was so loud. It also had a pretty short tub so tall glasses would not fit upright on the top rack. Delayed start was also an important feature. This dishwasher has many features I would consider "high-end" although they are not necessarily advertised as such. First, I think the dishwasher is listed at 55db (noise level) which seems like a large number, but it is actually very quiet. I would say there is no audible pump noise with this dishwasher. Our old dishwasher made sort of a loud grinding noise while it ran. With the new Whirlpool Gold, all you hear is the swishing of the water. It can even run during dinner because it is that quiet. Also the tub seems taller than my old dishwasher. I can put tall glasses on the top rack and the rack slides in an out without getting snagged. Lastly, the stainless steel exterior (door only) is real stainless, not painted, and looks sharp. The interior is not stainless but it is painted a dark grey which looks better than the white interiors you typically see. This is the first dishwasher I have ever bought (the first came with the house) and the dishwasher this one replaced was 15 years old. So some of these improvements are just the natural evolution you would expect in a newer product. That said, I'm very happy and impressed with it. It cleans and drys well, is quiet, and has all the key features like stainless steel front, adjustable racks, delayed start, multiple wash and dry modes, and more. At the end of the day you can get whatever you want if price is not a concern. But this dishwasher offers an exceptional value. At $449 (on sale), you can't beat it. Regular price is probably still under $500. Highly recommended.

We love our new dishwasher! We had lived in apartments until recently purchasing our first home and did a lot of research before making our first big appliance purchase. The reviews do not lie - this dishwasher is sooo quiet in comparison to other older models (I hardly can hear it running), the mode that "chooses" the wash for you is smart and our dishes always come out very clean (we don't do extensive rinsing beforehand, either). Great price for top quality product.

The dishwasher works well. It's not too loud. Takes a long time to clean the dishes, but I guess they all do these days. The utensil basket it located on the door. I didn't like this at first because if you're the kind of person that doesn't wash dishes every night, the utensils can catch the bottom tray as you are loading dishes over time. But I've gotten used to it now, I just sort of lift the tray up when I know it's going to get caught and it is nice to have more room on the bottom tray.

Quiet machine, but dishes don't dry well. I don't know if this is the new way of doing things, but my old machine was incredibly loud, but my dishes were dry when the cycles were done. We use the heated dry as well as added a rinse agent, but the dishes are wet. Quiet machine though.

I love this dishwasher. It has lots of cool features- buttons all on top so front is very sleek, adjustable height on the top shelf, several options for silverware rack placement, and slots in the silverware rack for individual utensils. My kids actually don't grumble about emptying this dishwasher. Everything fits in it really well, and comes out sparkling. The cycles seem really long though, unless you choose the one hour option. I like how it gives you the time remaining in the cycle on the little timer.
