This refrigerator has pros and cons, but lately the cons outweigh the pros. Some of the pros are it does a great job cooling both the freezer side and the fridge side, the water filter is super easy to replace, and the control touch panel on the door is handy. The cons are the fridge does not seem as deep or spacious as it is supposed to be, the shelving placement, even with rearranging the shelves leaves a lot to be desired because the rails are too close together which makes it hard to see what's in the back of the fridge, it's noisy and makes unexplained rattling sounds inside, on occasion, and I'm thankful of purchasing the 3 year protection plan because we've had to use it 3 times in the past year and a half. First, the ice maker stopped dispensing ice and it turned out the wiring at the bottom front of the fridge was damaged/cut due to manufacturing defect/placement of the wiring. Then 6 months later, the ice making tray became unhinged and forced out of it's slot in the door.(see pictures) We don't even know how this happened but the mechanism to release the ice must have become jammed and forced the tray to empty by actually bending it. We had that replaced with a new ice tray assembly and the same thing happened again less than 2 months later. Again, the Geek Squad replaced the tray assembly and we hope that's the last time. However, I can visually see icicles hanging at the back of the ice bucket so it appears that water is leaking or dripping somewhere it should not be. The dripping water is also causing the ice cubes in the bucket to freeze together in clusters. If you choose to take a chance with buying this product, I highly recommend purchasing the protection plan because I can almost guarantee you will use it if you purchase this refrigerator.

It’s only been a couple of days, but I love this refrigerator!! The ice is like pyramids and it has a fast ice option. There is a setting to fill up your water vs standing there waiting there. I used to have a fridge like this awhile back in a previous home so I was super excited to see it unboxed and realize it was like my old one I purchased so long ago, but upgraded! Kind of funny. Looking forward to being able to fit groceries into it. We bought a home with brand new appliances and it came with a “French door”. I like the side by side and that stupid freezer door was my enemy on so many levels it wasn’t funny. I couldn’t fit anything in there and I missed my in door water and ice maker. I love ice! Plus I don’t like stainless steel. Best Buy finally had this in stock and with delivery so I was able to snag it and get it delivered pretty quickly. We did purchase the warranty program and had them install it. We did have a glitch and had to cut the main water off, but they were okay with that and got us hooked up. We went back out to cut it back on without any issues. Whoever did the demo on this house set it up odd so it wasn’t anyone’s fault! They did a great job and just rolled with it. LOL I’m still just happy to have an in door ice maker and water dispenser. Oh and being able to fit groceries!!

For a family of 4, it gets the job done. No issues with the ice maker as others have reported, it's always full. Only 4 stars because the cost of replacement filters is ridiculous and they do not last as long as they are supposed to. I've had the unit since September 2023 and already changed the filter four times.

I originally wanted a french door refrigerator but they were too expensive and this Whirlpool was actually decently priced and had more space than some other similar models. I purchased this in January 2019 and so far it is doing great. The icemaker design does save room in the freezer and as far as the noise that it makes is not loud but what you would expect from the water line feeding into the icemaker and then later when the ice falls into the bin. Only con is there is no where to store butter. For the money it is awesome!

I was very apprehensive about buying this fridge because reviews can be so misleading. We were in a bind because choices in the size and color (black) we needed are very limited, so this Whirlpool checked off all those boxes. Delivery was EXCELLENT. Our 2 guys knew what they were doing and it went very smooth. So far, so good. Love the lighting, all the room inside. It’s quiet. One question I had was why the freezer door is higher than the refrigerator door? I read about it in the manual and there is an adjustment, so we will do that. Another small complaint is the symmetry of the drain in the water/ice door. Looks funny to me, and the delivery guy said he noticed it too, but I was the first customer to mention it. I noticed it on the floor model in the store as well so it’s a design issue. Not a deal breaker. I am very happy so far.

Had this for a few months and I like the amount of storage the fridge and freezer have. The on and off switch for the ice maker could be more accessible. The motor is kind of loud sometimes.

Very spacious. Clean looking and functional design. Plenty of ice for family of four. Love the smaller ice cubes. Lots of freezer space. Very happy with product.

It was more than I expected! The lighting inside shows the shelves and vegetable bin, and the spacing is fantastic! The door panel locks so my grandchildren don't bother it. The panel also tells u how many ounces u r drinking and the amount can be saved for your next drink. The ice maker is a little loud, but it's on the door which leaves plenty of space for the food. Also, the filter is at the top of the fridge instead of near the floor. I am more than satisfied!!

I bought this refrigerator for the large freezer area, but I can't believe how much room it has in both the frig and freezer. The freezer easily holds 3 large frozen pizzas laying flat on one shelf and that shelf still has plenty of room. Both the freezer drawers and door shelves also have alot of space. I also really like the pyramid shaped ice cubes.

Love refrigerator with ice bin on the door. Lots of toom inside freezer & refrigerator side. No problems except the front doors are not even.

SUPER disappointed. Our old refrigerator still works, but the flap on the ice maker is broken causing outside air to mix with the freezer. It's about 12 years old. So one would expect that when you are buying a new appliance that the energy rating would be equal or better, ummmm...NOPE, this one is WORSE than our old one! That's a fail! The overall shelving and drawers are CHEAPER than our old one too, how disappointing considering how much we spent on this thing! Plastic drawers in the freezer? That's dumb, they should have kept the slide out wire baskets, these drawers take up too much valuable freezer real-estate and don't provide a lot of space! There is extremely LIMITED shelf adjustment. My old refrigerator had a LOT more adjustment and we could place the shelves the distance that would work for how we used our refrigerator space. Not this one. You either have it a useful height or only 2 inches, yep one placement would give you a 2 inch height, but to move it is a huge space, there's nothing in between that. There's no butter space, no egg space... the deli drawer is in a terrible spot. The entire design of this should be an embarrassment to the person who came up with it! Guess that's what happens when you buy an appliance in the middle of a pandemic! If this is the direction that Whirlpool is going, then I guess I'll be going in a different direction for my next purchase!

so far I am loving everything about this fridge. Need to have it a bit longer to give a better review but all seems to be well so far.

Worst purchase weve made. You cannot fit a 2 liter of soda in this fridge standing up. It makes all kinds of crazy noises and everything in the back freezes no matter what you do. I very much regret purchasing this refrigerator. Im looking to see if there is a warranty

My only wish is that the shelves were more adjustable. Almost everything else about this appliance it great! I especially like the calibrated water dispenser.

I purchased this refrigerator prior to the changes that covid brought about. The first delive attempt - we received a call 10 minutes before they arrived. We were told that due to covid, they could not come in to retrieve the malfunctioning refrigerator (now over 6 weeks), nor could they perform the installation (although I paid for it). They would not even allow me to use their dolly. When I went to retrieve my phone to call Best Buy, they left. The second attempt - I was told that since this was an exchange (which it wasn't), they could not leave the new refrigerator without taking the old. I asked if they could remove the doors from the refrigerator so that it would fit through my entry door, they would not (even though I paid for this already). I was forced to purchase a dolly so that I could do everything myself. MY WIFE AND I SAID NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

No concerns like the fast ice feature and all the space like much better than the junkie 5 year old Samsung this one replaced.

The Whirlpool refrigerator replaced an older model that had the same external size. Looks like they really updated the features and increased the inside capacity. After I transferred the food from the old unit, there was still room to spare. I like how easy it is to open and close drawers, remove the ice maker and relocate the shelves, etc. All controls are electronic and easy to understand.

Let's just hope round 2 is better than round 1. Best buy customer service is awesome by the way. I love how big it is, but be mind of the water connections in the front door.
